I'm a new patient and just had my first appointment this week. I had a late afternoon appointment (I believe I was the last of the day). They were running a bit behind (30 mins behind) but everyone at the office was so friendly and patient even with it being so close to closing time! Dr Mollega was a pleasure to meet. He was friendly and understanding. Took the time with me to ensure that I understood everything. I also got to see him interact with his employees and it was refreshing to see. Seemed like he treated them with the same kind and patience as his patients. Just a warning that they are scheduling out MANY months in advanced. Overall, I left the appointment feeling great. Good thing my insurance covered visit. Paid the $50 there, didn't even get my Rx numbers, but they waned me to schedule another appointment, now keep getting bill for $350 because apparently insurance "doesn't cover whole amount". Stay away from this scam. read more

I loved it here! I loved the staff, the doctor, this beautiful building. Everything. I was seen at the time of my appointment. It went so quick and the doctor REALLY listens to you. I wanted a different type of contact than what he recommended and he made sure to order them for me so I could try them on. I don't like a Toric lens on one of my eyes because it makes them irritated and he said he just wanted to make my eyes comfortable so if that's what didn't give me problems then that's what he would order. This is one of the best clinics I've been to since I've been here. They're so friendly. Highly recommended! read more

Arrived on time. Was told I was the only patient waiting. Was happy as I had business meeting 90 mins after this appt. Then waited in the lobby for 35 mins. Taken into room and clinicians started doing the tests. 20 mins later I am concerned I won't make my meeting. Dr Molega overheard my concerns and came into the room. Told me his staff works hard and that he tried hard to "accommodate" retirees like me. I explained that I waited 35 mins and now am worried that I won't be done in time. Dr was very curt and told me to stay or go get rescheduled then walked out of the room. I am never going back. Like my friends, I am going to Dr Sparks at Walmart. read more

CLARKSON EYE CARE PREVIOUSLY MOLLEGA - Had to wait 3 months for an appt for my daughter to get a new prescription. Upon arrival for her appt. The staff at the front desk decide to tell me they can't pull up my daughter under our insurance or see her under it--but, oh, they can certainly follow through with the appointment, however, they are not 100% certain the insurance will cover it. I ask them why they are just now telling me this at the appointment when I made it three months ago and they could have called and got the dilemma situated wayyy beforehand. I know, genius idea. Mind you, both of my daughters have previously been to this place. An absolute waste of time grabbing my girls from school and rushing over after. 100% absolute HORRIBLE office managing and seems like a simple resolution rather than waiting at the last minute to tell a client about insurance. Wells could pull my girls up so they will be getting my business from here on out. read more

My husband and I had a great experience with our recent eye exams. Dr Mollega is friendly and very thorough and took time to explain testing and results and answer questions. When their office was called Mollega, I went to them several times before and during my cataract surgery with another doctor. I asked for an eyeglass and contact prescription but it took many months to get after picking up my glasses. Now I'm told I was never evaluated for contacts! Dr. Mollega told me if I wanted to see bird faces at my feeders, then I should use binoculars. Not true and a good time to tell me I need glasses to fine tune my vision. Too many so called "misunderstandings" with this business. read more

The office staff are incredibly rude. "Office staff are in a meeting" was the excuse of not being able to talk to a manager. My glasses given to me were measured wrong the first time. Second visit the lenses were half out, and not fixed correctly. $700 later and no one can fix my glasses, or let me talk to someone who can fix it. Looks like a three year old tried to put the broken pieces back together. Don't waste your time here. read more

Let me start off by saying everyone here was very friendly and the customer service was top notch......at the beginning. The trouble started when I had my glasses made at a different store and the prescription wasn't signed by Dr. Mollega. As I left with my new glasses something didn't feel right and I pinpointed the issue to my right eye, it was slightly out of focus but in a weird way, so I went straight to Mollega Eye Care assuming the other place had messed up. Mollega Eye Care tested my glasses and confirmed they were correct to the prescription Mollega wrote. I asked to have another eye exam and they refused stating I needed to wear the glasses for 14 days so I acquiesced and left. Later that day after feeling pressure right eye and being uncomfortable I called Mollega back requesting an appointment, They tried scheduling it 21 days later but agreed to 14 after some pushback from me. After a weekend of trying to wear the glasses and getting headaches I called back requesting an earlier appointment and with their refusal I had to go elsewhere and I'm glad I did, it turns out he/we ether missed the stigmatism in my right eye or his assistant didn't record it because that was the issue. It sucks having to spend $110 to get another eye exam but I'm happy to be working with a team that will listen and work with me instead of brush me off after they get my money like Mollega Eye Care did. read more

Waited 15 minutes in the lobby, then 15 minutes in the exam room. Did the first round of tests then 10 minutes later did them for a second time because the tech forgot to have me take my contacts out. Then they made me dilate my pupils. Then they asked for my copayment. Handed me a receipt showing I was charged $83 but couldn't produce an itemized receipt. Then I found out they only did a contact lens exam so now I have to go back to get a prescription for my glasses. Then I drove home with dilated pupils. Terrible read more

Went and seen Dr Mollega today. Location super easy to find. Really nice and clean. The ladies there were helpful and Friendly. I've tried contacts a couple times in the past and never wore them because I could see clear. Dr Mollega nailed it on the first time. I've had the contacts in all day and can see great. He was on time, friendly not rushed and said to call if I had any problems. I recommend him to everyone! Plus he has all new utd equipment and takes insurance!! Go see Dr Mollega!! read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had with an eye doctor. I'm a 28 year old female and have been wearing glasses since I was 2, have lived in multiple states and countries, so needless to say have a had a ton of experience and been to dozens of eye doctors over the years. All other eye doctors/appointments throughout my life have been pleasant/normal as usual. To note - all other staff in this office are extremely nice/pleasant. It's all women (4) that work there, and one male eye doctor (Doctor Mollega). At the start of the appointment I explained that a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and used drops for about four days and then it went away. I explained that I used a cream last week and felt like it was coming back, so threw away the cream and continued using the drops. I noted that I still felt as if there was something there, but it didn't necessarily feel like pink eye. So then he began to look at my eye through his machine...he noted there was some "white stuff" but it might be makeup. And I said "no, I'm not wearing any makeup." He then said he meant to say the cream I had discussed before. I said "no, I threw that away, I'm not wearing anything." This is where the unprofessional attitude begins: He began to flip my eyelid, however did this very forcefully. I flinched as I have very sensitive eyes. He made a rude comment that he flipped a 7 year old's eyes earlier in the day and they had no problem. I then stated "I'm just very sensitive and afraid of damaging my eyes," hinting that he was performing this task with little care. (Note - this has been done multiple times by other doctors and never had I felt so uncomfortable by the procedure). Once I made that comment, he immediately moved the machine out from in front of me and sat back in his chair and stated that was in it for him and he was done. And I said "what do you mean? You're not going to check my left eye," incredibly confused about what was going on and what he was doing as no professional I'd ever seen had ever acted so abruptly and unprofessionally before. He said "no, not if you don't TRUST me," really not helping me to trust him anymore. And I said "no, I obviously want you to look at them." He then stood up and left the room stating that he was taking a break and giving me time to think about what I wanted (as if I'm a 3 year old that needs time to think about what I did), although I made it clear I wanted him to check my other eye. When Dr. Mallega returned to the room he had one of the female workers join him. She didn't say anything, she merely gave a long sigh as if to say "again, he's acting up...and I need to be here to supervise." As she stood in the corner attending to a pair of glasses, the conversation continued. I apologized and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to insult you, that wasn't my intention," although I know my comment wouldn't have insulted any other Doctor. He appeared to have a large ego and be overly sensitive. I'm not sure if his staff member was brought into act as a witness. I do know that regardless of the reason his behavior was unacceptable under any circumstance. In the end he said I didn't have bacterial pink eye. I asked if he thought it could be viral pink eye. He then became defensive and stated "it sounds like you've been talking to someone." I stated that I hadn't but I know the difference as I've had both types before. He finally stated that it was allergies and he could prescribe me some drops. Once I paid he came out and asked me if I was okay, as if completely oblivious to his inappropriate behavior. His receptionists wished me well, and I gladly walked out of the office knowing that I'd never go back there again. I'd just like to end this post by stating that I'm not a sensitive woman. I'm hardly ever upset by other people. The only time I'm typically ever upset is when I see other people treated wrongly. I work in mergers and acquisitions with almost all men, an extremely cut throat environment (think Wolf of Wall Street). However, if I'm paying for a professional service I expect to be treated with the respect I deserve and reciprocate. I hope no one else ever has to experience this Doctor's outrageous demeanor. read more

It was a nightmare for us... wrong prescription for one eye and twisted a few degrees progressive lens for another eye...

AVOID!!! He completely gave my husband a wrong initial complaint. It was supposed to be a simple eye exam because he's a firefighter overseas. They coded chief complaint as "floaters" which was completely wrong and could cost my husband his job. Poor communication, poor time management, and it took 45 minutes waiting for the paperwork after the eye exam. "Because he was too busy". Office manager said that's normal. Umm I have seen Dr. Houston Sparks for the past 9 years and never had to wait for anything. On time and professional. Please, avoid this place. read more

One of the worst I have had in over 20 years of wearing contacts.These people do not listen at all, no matter how many times you use the words "can I share', Let me share" with them. THEY JUST DON'T LISTEN AND PROJECT YOU ARE SOME KIND OF IDIOT when you do try to share with them what you are experiencing. I learned much while sitting in their chair however. I learned the sound of nervous mouth smacking of chewing gum with mouth wide open annoyed me. The assistant's rude nature and rather militant requests , which barked quietly but with a rather cold and stern voice, without making ANY eye contact was extremely rude and unprofessional. The person called an "Assistant" acted like she was the doctor, and projected she was in control of everything because you were just the "patient" although she had no formal training and was in training by Dr. Melliga (her words not mine) was uncalled for. I learned not all Dr.'s are a good fit for you and when you get that gut feeling, you should walk/run and not look back The intimidation by the doctor telling me I had visited "many other doctors and had complaints of dry eyes" was false and untrue, ( I have only been to two doctors in the over 20 years and had never complained of dry eyes) It was evident he had not read my chart before he entered the room. When he did enter the room, he talked down to me,trying to make me question the very complaints I was trying to share with him about his choice of contacts for me. He bluntly said "there is nothing further we can do for you. You need to think abut glasses" I shared with him I did not come to get glasses, I came to get contacts..and if he couldn't get that right, how could I expect him to get the glasses right". He was very offended. I don't think he has had anyone share that with him before. Lastly, the contacts he put me in and that I was left wearing, was worse than the contacts I came into his office with. Sadly I could not throw them away, as I have no back up contacts, so will be forced to wear these contacts until I find another eye doctor to get another exam, to get contacts and that expense will come out of my pocket. read more
