They were supposed to charge my secondary insurance for my contacts and they didn't. They kept telling me they would and by Friday, they said it was too long so they couldn't refund me... this was their fault, btw. I ended up paying out of pocket and had to use my insurance for glasses that I didn't need because I bought a pair of glasses the year prior. But I only go to the eye doctor once a year anyway. I went here in March 18 of LAST YEAR (2022) and I just got a bill from them this month (August 2023). Over a year later for $90 to fit me for contacts. By the way, the woman I saw here recommended monthly disposables which were a nightmare and so uncomfortable and I ended up ordering my regular ones online anyway. So, I also ended up wasting my money on the monthly disposables that I purchase here as well. This place is a complete waste of money and time which is why I never returned when I needed a new prescription this year. Don't say I didn't warn you and good luck.

In June of 2024, he suggested I have cataract surgery for both of my eyes. His assistant explained the three different cataract procedures, and she answered all my questions. She helped me to decide which lenses to get. She was super nice and personable. Actually, the whole staff knew how to treat a patient. I never felt rushed. I felt like I was the only patient that day. Dr Ruttig, in my opinion, is a very nice and knowledgeable doctor. I had each eye done on different days so the first eye could heal. After the second surgery, I wasn't happy with how my eye was healing. I explained how I was seeing. I waited 2 weeks to see if everything was going ok, but when I went for my appointment, he told me he and his assistant thought maybe a different lens would work better, so they scheduled another surgery. I also had issues with my bill from the hospital. I totally misunderstood the cost of the lenses and surgery. Hoda listened to my issues and said she would do some research. Hoda got back to me quickly and Dr. Ruttig refunded me a little under $3,000 to cover the costs of the hospital. I was so shocked. The office is amazing and so is Dr. Ruttig. Everyone is so professional, helpful and nice. I would highly recommend Eye M.D. of Niceville to anyone.

On June 28 I ordered prescription glasses from Vision Hub on Eglin Pkwy in Fort Walton Beach. They…read moresaid it would take 7-10 days to come in. Paid $626. by Visa debit. I received the glasses on July 17. Within a week one of the lenses fell out. I went back to Vision Hub and they made an adjustment. A week later lens fell out again. Finally on 3rd time they ordered new glasses on August 12. On September 3 I went to Vision Hub to ask about my glasses-have STILL not come in!! An employee told me a manager was not available but he would be sure to tell them I was pissed, and someone would call me back. September 4-I went back to Vision Hub, told same employee-OR ANYONE- has called me back. He told me the regional manager was coming in tomorrow(September 5) and would be bringing in my new frames- not what I was told was ordered on August 12! It is now September 5. No one has called me back-ever; I STILL do not have my glasses-I don't know for sure the new pair, a warranty replacement, was ever in fact ordered. I told the employee I was done with Vision Hub, that just wanted my new glasses-or my money back- and I will never spend another penny in that store!

They were running a bit behind (30 mins behind) but everyone at the office was so friendly and patient even with it being so close to closing time! Dr Mollega was a pleasure to meet. He was friendly and understanding. Took the time with me to ensure that I understood everything. I also got to see him interact with his employees and it was refreshing to see. Seemed like he treated them with the same kind and patience as his patients. Just a warning that they are scheduling out MANY months in advanced. Overall, I left the appointment feeling great. I will be back to see Dr Mollega very soon.
