I have been going to Dr. Edlund and the FWB LensCrafters for years. This past Christmas I tried out the Destin Store as we were out there and needed new exams and glasses. Huge mistake. The staff were all nice, but the teleexam prescription was never right and one of the pairs of glasses that were supposedly in never showed up for weeks. Went back to FWB and Dr. Edlund. The first prescription was wrong but the experience was great and the process thorough. Won't go anywhere else. Highly recommended! read more

I have gone to Dr. Edmund for several years, not because he is great, but because I can get in quickly. But after taking both of my children recently I will not go back. The amount of time spent doing an exam with one was so short I timed the next one. His exam with child #2 was FOUR MINUTES AND FIFTY FOUR SECONDS. The exam with child #1 was even less. No questions. No comment on prescription change. Nothing. I asked a question about something and his answer was basically "duh! She has an astigmatism!". Well, how would I know that if you never said?!? I don't feel his prescriptions are incorrect, But he does the absolute minimum and is not very nice. He was nicer to my daughter than my son. His office staff is pleasant and the LensCrafters staff is very nice as well. Definitely the least thorough optometrist I have seen in forty years of eye doctors. read more

Lenscrafters has been my go to for many years, and the FWB office staff are incredibly professional! Cheryl in particular has a fantastic eye for frames, and helped me find exactly what I had in mind. The office is spacious, it's a pleasant waiting room experience. However, I was surprised with the lack of professionalism from the doctor. I've come to count on a high degree of professionalism from Lenscrafters optometrists, but Dr. Edlund rushed the exam, leaving me feeling unsure if his diagnosis was accurate, and was rude to the point of raising his voice at me when I misunderstood his instructions. I was so shocked, because I've always specifically gone to Lenscrafters for their professionalism. I'll find a different location for future eye exams, but I loved interacting with the technicians, so will definitely come back to that side of the business for frames adjustments or to get my prescription filled. read more

A huge shoutout to Cheryl at the LensCrafters in Mary Esther! I have a complex prescription that includes prism. I'd been to a different LensCrafters numerous times trying to get my glasses adjusted, but each time they just made them worse. By the time I found Cheryl my vision was distorted and my eyes in terrible pain. Cheryl patiently adjusted my glasses one step at a time (sides, nose pieces, tilt for base out prism, etc) until they were perfect! Within minutes my vision started to clear and my eye strain relax. Even though I didn't buy from here. The customer service was great. I like to be left alone in my search and figure out what I really want. I pretty much hate being hounded at the store. Stress free is nice since you know you have to shell some money out. They have a good selection but they had more wire frames. I like bold and funky. I would recommend this store to others. read more

Fantastic doctor and crew! It is a nice looking building nestled in a little bit of a ghetto shopping center but don't be fooled by what loiters around this building. This doctor was so professional and went out of his way to be helpful and it's the best price in town if you are paying out of pocket. They have the best availability as well. Brian and Bev took time to answer all my questions over the phone and got me a same day appointment. Brian was very helpful with ordering supplies and adding discounts and providing me with information to shop around as well. Extremely wonderful experience at this location! read more

I came to LensCrafters because my boyfriend and his family come here to have their yearly eye checks and they have always had a good experience with them. I haven't seen an eye doctor in 10 years due to lack of insurance, so this is the first time in a while I've gotten my eyes checked. When I was a small child I had horrible vision and it had gotten better at a point, but as time went on my vision has gotten worse again. But I've recently acquired insurance through my place of work so I'm making all the rounds of checkups. I get to this office and the woman at the receptionist desk was kind and helpful but as soon as I was greeted by the doctor he was rude and dismissive. My results were "perfect" but his bedside manner certainly was not. He acted as if he was annoyed that I came in and didn't have a problem ,that he saw, with my vision. And that he was annoyed at the fact that he had to see me. His attitude and even down the the way he spoke to me had me taken aback so much I was not even sure what had happened, happened. I have never, never, never have been treated like this by a doctor or really anyone in the medical field. So displeased with my care. I will never come back to this office, or any LensCrafters offices and I will most certainly be getting a second opinion. read more

I originally bought a pair of prescription sunglasses in October 2016 from LensCrafters. Since then, my prescription had changed and I brought them in today to get my lenses changed to Plano. I had bought the protection plan and thought that my lenses would be covered under that, however this was not the case. I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a whole new pair of lenses. I opted out of buying new lenses there. They said if I buy lenses online they would put them in for me. My husband was also looking for a pair of sunglasses because his current Oakley sunglasses was having an issue of one of the lenses partially popping out. One of the associates helped him fix that issue. All of the staff were very friendly and down-to-earth. My husband ended up finding another pair of Oakley frames and due to the quality service we received we gave them our business. read more

This store has an amazing selection of glasses. It took me about two hours to choose my pair but the staff was very patient and never rushed me nor made me feel unwelcome even though I wasn't ready to buy a pair that day. The person that helped me went through the trouble of finding a place that accepted my insurance. After I bought my pair of glasses he insisted I came back if anything at all felt uncomfortable, which it did after a couple of days of wearing the glasses. He adjusted them for me and seemed genuinely happy to help me! Customer Service at its best! read more

I am torn on how I would like to rate this LensCrafters. Gina, the associate was friendly, welcoming, warm, and even helped my find out what my insurance had to offer. However, the optometrist themselves literally treated my like garbage. The receptionist Sheri, acted like I was the biggest inconvenience to her day because yes, I was a walk-in. Gina, being awesome that she is, asked if there was anything she could do to move along the process because I had been waiting about a good hour and half (which I am not mad about, it happens), and Sheri blatantly bad mouthed me in front of my face, because it was my own fault because I was a walk-in. Don't get me wrong, the frame selection is amazing, and I will be going back to purchase the frames ONLY. I will be taking the frames to a much more friendly staff at Family Eye Care. read more

My husband broke his glasses around 6:30pm Friday night and he has terrible eyes(-7.00 and -7.25 with astigmatism). So, after attempting to solder and glue them to no avail we gave up and went to bed. The next day we called around and found out that Walmart vision center in Ft Walton allow walk-ins on Saturdays so we went there and had his exam done, but they don't carry lenses strong enough for my husband :( So, we drove around Ft Walton looking everywhere for a place that would have the lenses and we could get him a pair of glasses immediately. We eventually ended up at LensCrafters where they were certain they had the lenses but mentioned there are other factors that may not allow them to get them completed within the hour. We picked out some reasonably priced frames ($140) and after we began the buying process our service representative made 100% sure that they could complete his glasses in an hour! The plus side was that his (very very expensive) lenses were half off! They have a semi-annual sale on lenses, half off with any frames purchase, our lucky day! So, less than $300 and in one hour we had a pair of glasses for him! Amazing, above and beyond what I expected. He usually has to wait about 7 business days before he has glasses. We'll continue to come to LensCrafters. He also mentioned that his vision is extra clear compared to other places we have been; that could be due to the awesome Dr. Hendrix at Walmart Vision Center Ft Walton, or it could be due to LensCrafter's digital sight calibration device thing, or a combination of both. Either way, we are super impressed with the services we received on February 15, 2014. And we both highly recommend LensCrafters and Dr. Hendrix, if only the two were in the same place. read more

I just got back from taking my 14 year old daughter to the eye doctor here at LensCrafters. She has a slight vision problem which Dr Kristian Edlund did not write a prescription for but has one available. The receptionist said we could get the prescription and we could go look for frames to complete this. My daughter and I spent 20 minutes to pick out two sets of frames (has a buy one get one for kids under 18) only to find out the doctor and all his staff left for lunch!!!!! We were then told they would return at 2:30 (this was 1:00), I have never seen such crap!!!! The doctor apparently left right after seeing us and the receptionist said, "we can do the prescription and have the doctor sign off when he gets back". When we turned around to get this done She had left too. What kind of dog and pony show are you guys running over there. I am beyond furious! You took my $70 for the exam and ran. Wished I had a job that I could make $70 for 5 minutes of time and then run out for a long lunch complete with margaritas and some chips and salsa. Needless to say, this was my first and last experience at LensCrafters and I sure as heck won't recommend them to anyone else. read more
