As a matter fact their service has been exceptional. Maybe it's because I'm on a first name basis with most of the staff after 40+ appointments over the years. The doc was OK, but the office staff is rude. The paperwork they want you to sign allowing them to sell your information and removing pretty much any privacy is unacceptable. And then there's the billing. You think you've paid in full, but some months later they come back asking for more. Incompetence at best, crooks at worst. I won't go back. read more

Poor customer service! I waited way too long in the lobby for my apointment. The place was practically empty. The staff were giggling and screwing around in the back when I complained about the wait. It is too easy to find a better run eye care place! Good luck to the eye doctors keeping their patients with support staff like that. I will be sure to spread the word! read more

Disappointing... I told them I only wanted an eye exam for new glasses, no contact exam, yet they did it anyway..? Doctor brought me contacts to try and that was it, another $60 copay. Then they charged me extra to put lenses into my favorite frames (they really want you to buy new ones) and then they broke my favorite Ray Ban frames... somewhere in transit, gone forever. They told me I'd have to come in to order new frames and I said no. Got my prescription and I'll order elsewhere. I'm not trying to go back there ever. read more

I'll start with Rosie Mancave, who is, unfortunately, the manager. She was beyond unhelpful with finding my child a nice pair of glasses. When asked any simple question she gave a visible irritated look and was extremely combative when further questions were asked. I even asked a tech, Christina, if she actually runs her business this way and all she could respond with is "She's never actually here to help and doesn't even know how to competently use any of our equipment." which is astonishing. I didn't hear anything, but, I could tell a few negative remarks were made toward me and my son as you would see her gesturing toward us. She seems unfit to work with others, nonetheless be the manager of an eye care office. Please steer clear of such a dumpster fire as she seems like she's got a great grasp on how she operates in her own business. P.S. I cross posted this with Google just to spread the word! read more

I'm here to share my experience and warn consumers to rethink going! I was referred here, and I found a pair of glasses I really liked. I had an appointment months in advance. I only have one point- price transparency. If you advertise a pair of glasses for $100, with a "$300 lens option," then you should advertise them as $400. People don't know that you put lenses on glasses that are bigger as displayed (displayed with a lens that's actually fit the frame). This pricing model is a bit deceptive. At checkout I was only presented with large lens that don't even fit my frame (shame) or a premium option which is what the glasses came with as advertised. But somehow $300 more. I'm a bit disappointed I waited months for an appointment; that felt like I was being sold, and stacked fees upon like this is a dealership for your eyes. read more

I took my daughter in for an eye appointment, which had to be scheduled months in advance. No bid deal, however they called twice to reschedule it. Again, no big deal, things happen. Fast forward to us getting her glasses. Rosie helped us and charges were added that I didn't approve of nor was even made aware of until I asked for an itemized invoice. I should've asked for it there but didn't think of it until I needed it to file with insurance.. It took an 18 minute phone call to even get said invoice. I then had to call back and ask that the unapproved charges be refunded. Just watch yourself, they'll tack on any charge they can without approval. read more

I am leaving a mixed review. The company needs have 2 review options, one for the Drs side and one for the sales ("optician") side. Dr Brun was exceptional, she was very pleasant. The sales side I would give them a 0 stars if I could. I will start off by saying I was flat out lied to, to my face. The technician said that my insurance does not cover Oakley sunglasses and that she "has never heard of an insurance company that covers Oakley, Maui Jim or Costa sunglasses." I may not be insurance savvy but I do know what my insurance has covered in the past that I physically had in my hand (Oakley prescription sunglasses.) I brought up my insurance company's brochure of what they cover and showed them. I was told to wait a minute while they speak with the manager... magically the person returns and states that their company can not bill my insurance for Oakley.... They legit tried their damnedest to sell me an inferior pair of sunglasses then lied to my face about my coverage. At the end of the conversation I asked "so that was inaccurate information I was told about my insurance plan, correct?" And I was told "Have a nice day sir". I will never return to Clarkson Eyecare to buy glasses of any sort. I will return to see the Dr. read more

I was so impressed, especially since this is a chain practice! This is the friendliest optometrist office I have ever been to - from scheduling an appointment to walking out of the office. I was in and out in under 20 minutes even with follow up questions about my new prescription PLUS (and this is a big plus) I was never once pressured to purchase contacts/glasses in the office. I would highly recommend coming here if you are in Navarre. read more

Staff and Dr.s are kind and knowledgeable. Everyone is always polite and I don't feel bullied into buying something. If I want my prescription, they give it to me. If I want $99 frames, wonderful! I've been going there for years. read more

I made an appointment to get my eyes examined and my eyelids assessed for the same day and when I walked in, the dr had no clue about the assessment. Now I have to go back in two weeks for another appointment. I told the receptionist Mary, explicitly that I wanted to do both in one day, but the dr told me I was only able to get the eye exam unless I wanted to wait a few hours for the assessment room to open up. Not too happy about that. The dr was very nice, polite and apologetic about the "mistake." I've been here before and have been pleased overall, just don't like the fact that I have to go back. read more

It took forever to set the appt up over the phone. Had to book almost two months out. They had my insurance info from husband because he had just gotten glasses. Paid a babysitter for all my kids and went to appt to find out they don't take my insurance anymore. That would have been nice to know at any of the multiples appt confirmations or reminders. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they have been since I started going there years ago. Almost makes you feel like family! They're great about informing you on any questions you might have about your eyes or glasses or contacts. They also have wonderful deals that makes buying glasses or contacts cheaper! I bought a name brand pair of coach glasses yesterday and their sale is every $100 you spend you get $50 off so I got $100 of the coach glasses plus more savings! Not sure what the deal is here. Lady at front was nice. Some employees were gossiping while others worked. I asked a few simple questions and Sarah was rude and couldn't answer me. Upon receiving a second opinion with another provider through an independent network, it was found that the prescription provided by the optometrist at Clarkson in July 2018 was grossly incorrect. I paid some out-of-pocket expense for what should've been a quality, state-of-the-art exam and local service, and instead was given a bad prescription with pushy sales tactics, among other things. Had I fallen for the push to buy the ridiculously over-priced services/glasses/additional exams/service referrals, it would've been a complete waste of funds and time. I don't know many people who can support paying upwards of $300+ (after insurance) for just one pair of incorrectly prescribed glasses, much less the bad exam/prescription that couldn't get it right for being so "state-of-the-art". He diagnosed me with a serious condition related to my diabetes and wasted no time in referring me to someone who could help me. His office also was very accommodating with my handicapped status. I went to Clarkson Eyecare and I chose them because my Husband went there a few months ago and had a good experience,so I decided to go and my experience wasn't at all good,to say the least! I have seasonal allergies and my eyes are red and irritated at times so that's why I went to see if the Dr. Could recommend or give me better eye drops.Well the assistant done tests then eventually 30 minutes went by and finally the Dr. Came in! Anyway,he comes in and was VERY rude to me and wouldn't shake my hand which I found unacceptable! The Dr. Asked me what the problem was and I told him about my seasonal allergies and he gave me some eye drops.Then the Dr. began telling me my eyesight was going bad and I needed glasses,which I didn't feel I need,anyway,he started telling me about my SO CALLED blurred vision,headaches,squinting which I NEVER told him I had any of those issues just redness from allergies then he slammed the pen on the counter and said,"Well I guess you don't need glasses then since you're the expert"! I said ok and thanked him for his time and the eye drops and one of the Assistants came in the room which I thought she taking me to where I could pay my copay then leave,but that wasn't the case! Instead,she took me to another assistant and she began shoving glasses in my face and I told her I didn't need them but she ignored me and told me my insurance would only cover some of it and I'd have to pay for glasses I don't need! She had the nerve to say to me that I'd read better and I never said to her nor the Dr. Who examined me I had problems reading because I don't! I made it very clear I didn't have problems reading and I also told her I didn't need or want glasses! As I got up to leave the other female assistants who worked ther began staring at me which made me feel uncomfortable! Then the assistant had the nerve to say "Do I want my prescription?!" NO I told her! I didn't need a prescription and I'm not wearing glasses! She looked at me in shock and I told her I'm here to pay my copay and leave,which I did and left! I recommend anyone who reads this to not go there AT ALL!!!!!! read more
