We worked with Pearl Remodeling over the last few weeks to have a patio enclosure built. We had to move our washer and dryer out of the garage after we found out it was a code violation (not enough clearance to keep it in there), so we had an enclosure built for our new laundry room. Ben was our project manager, and he was fantastic! Really on top of things at all times, and he was always friendly, courteous, and quick to respond. The whole team from Pearl was personable and professional. They worked quickly but not hastily, and the quality of their work is high. I had complete confidence in their ability to get the job done and to do it well. They completed our enclosure in two days flat, using our existing concrete pad. It was cool to see how quickly it came together. Also, they showed up on time on their work days as promised, which is something I've learned is not always the case with contractors! In addition, Ben worked with the electrical & plumbing contractor that I had hired separately in order to coordinate what was needed for the permit and to work out the timing of what needed to happen when so that everything could be done in time for our inspection with the city. He pulled the necessary permits and communicated with the city regarding inspections. He went above and beyond in ensuring that things worked together as smoothly as possible, and I really appreciated him taking the time and care to do that. We will definitely be calling Pearl Remodeling again when we are ready to work on our home addition in a year or two. read more

Going solar was big decision to make but right now, after over a year, as I'm going through my electrical bills I'm saying hell yes. I highly recommend Pearl Remodeling for you solar installation. Everything they promised was delivered in full, In fact, their solar consultant Ortal was very conservative and my solar system is actually producing a bit more than expected :). I have 22 solar panels on my roof that are laid perfectly to compliment my house (as much as possible ...) I have a new electrical panel and I'm able to monitor my solar power at any time. The good thing about Pearl is that regardless of solar installations they are also a licensed general contractor so that they can easily handle any situation they may bump into in an old house like mine. read more

I am torn between four stars and five starts. We recently purchase a townhouse in LA and had Pearl did some remodeling in master bathroom and replaced hardwood floor and carpet. Here is our breakdown rating of our experience: Quality of work: 4/5. Customer Service: 5/5. Price value: 4/5. We spent a bit more than 10k with Pearl, Gal was the contractor who worked with us. Gal is a very professional businessman and knows very well what he is doing with your projects. For us, because it is our first time doing home remodeling, quite a few things didn't go the same as expected, we had to go plan B a few times. An original 2-week project got lengthened to a month... also because of we were out of town during part of the construction, the workers didn't do exactly what I wanted... But Gal really tried hard to fix everything and make it up for us in the end, which is why I am giving it 5 star. read more

We were really excited about working with this construction company to do a remodel of our kitchen, an addition to the front, and an enlargement to the back of the home. We spent over FIVE hours on a thursday evening with Omer (the project manager) going over the entire details and pricing, which included $10k for painting the exterior of the house. We came to an agreement and wrote everything down and signed the initial paperwork - which allowed us to make changes or cancel the entire agreement within 1 week. Saturday, just two days later, we met with Omer to give him a deposit and cancel the painting portion of the job and deduct the price by $10k. This is because we had found a painter for half the price! We didn't mention this to him but the project manager was not happy that we were not going to do the paint job with him - even though it was our prerogative. All of a sudden, he started to tell us that the caesarstone for the kitchen which he had SPECIFICALLY included in our price the first night we met was going to cost us extra. We went back and forth and he finally, after much discussion, remembered that he had said the type we chose was included but would be extra for a particular recycled material - which we did not choose. At this point, my gut instinct was telling me this guy is shady and we should just cancel the whole agreement but we decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He apologized and we patched things up and felt that it could have maybe been an honest mistake. Omer wrote everything down and specified the exact price, minus $10k for the paint from the very first quote and in detail wrote what would be included and we gave him a check for the deposit. Fast forward to Monday, another 2 days later, and he calls my husband to tell him that he cannot deduct $10k for the paint - even though we had already agreed to the terms! We had signed everything, he had told us that $10k was the price for the paint and that removing it would be $10k less. How shady can you be to then call, AFTER YOU HAVE SIGNED EVERYTHING and try to renegotiate the price and charge us extra??? My husband just called him to tell him that we want to cancel everything. It's a shame because it seems like they could do a good job but we are hesitant to go forward and keep getting the terms changed on us and nickel and dimed. This is no way to do business. When you sign a contract, that's it - you cannot change your mind. Lucky for us, the contract specifically allows US to cancel within a week and we already left him a message to tell him we are cancelling. To the management and Omer - if we don't get our deposit back pursuant to the terms of the contract we signed, we will sue you. We signed on 10/3/13 and today is 10/7/3 so that is within the 7 day window. Thanks. read more

We have read their reviews which seem like they have been in business for a while and knew what they were doing. An appointment was set, but the estimator was 35 minutes late. I am a first time homeowner and when taking on my first complete remodel (master bathroom) I knew that I wanted to find a good contractor who could get the job done right. To start the process, I checked on Yelp and set up estimates with about five different contractors that had strong reviews. Two of the five contractors didn't even bother showing up for the estimates and, obviously, lost my business right off the bat. Ron came out to do the estimate and was incredibly helpful. I had a good idea for what I wanted the bathroom to look like and Ron's great tips turned that idea into something even greater. You can tell when talking to Ron that he is incredibly knowledgable and has a lot of experience when it comes to home remodeling. Being a new homeowner, I was unfamiliar with city inspector codes but Ron was well versed in this area and went over some of the more common codes that needed to be addressed during the planning stage. The other contractors I met with were not half as personable or helpful. For this reason, I chose Ron and Pearl Remodeling to work on my bathroom. To be completely honest, they were not the cheapest quote I received, but I literally could not be any happier with the way everything turned out. Ron's crew was ready and willing to work up to seven days a week and they were done quicker than their estimated timeline. One of their best qualities was how they were in constant communication on a daily basis. Ron and his crew were only a text or phone call away at any given time and sent updates throughout the day while I was at work. My bathroom remodel included changing the toilet location, running the shower water pipes through the ceiling for a rainfall shower head, and installing heated floors. Seeing the finished product makes it difficult to remember what the old layout used to be. The work was done so well and clean that it looks like it was arranged this way from the very start. You always hear the horror stories people go through with their contractors, and I truly believe finding a good one can be a treasure hunt. When we first started looking for a contractor we got a referral for a guy who came out, spent about two hours at our home, and seemed very knowledgeable. He said he would send us his bid in about a week, but two weeks passed, then three, four... and still no bid. We then got another referral, the guy seemed really nice, spent about an hour and a half with us and showed us pictures of a prior job. There was one problem, he was not licensed. He said he had a business license and that he usually only took jobs where someone referred him. However when the bid came over it was from a random gmail account and no business name on the letterhead. We did a little research and found he did not have a business license and when we said we wanted to see some of his past work in person we never heard back from him. After these two bad experiences we decided to turn to Yelp to find a contractor. We read up on a lot of firms and decided to contact Pearl Remodeling and one other firm. Before they came out we decided to look up their licenses and look them up on the BBB because we were really tired of wasting time. Both of the firms came out but Marco Ramirez at Pearl Remodeling impressed us the most. Marco was very personable and knowledgeable. He even helped give us a vision for the changes we wanted. Before Marco left our house he gave us a bid for the project. We never felt pressured to sign a contract right away or anything. Marco told us to take our time and think about it and just give him a call if we were interested. We had Marco and his team gut our bathroom and completely redo it from scratch, painting in our dining room and kitchen, and lay tile in our kitchen. Marco suggested that we do a diamond lay for the tile in the bathroom and in the kitchen, and he also recommended putting in the glass trim in the middle of the tile on the shower wall and adding a shampoo niche. Laying the tile diamond style really made the room feel bigger. On the paint he also suggested that we do the ceilings white in the bathroom to open it up more, and he was right. Our bathrooms feel so much bigger. Everything turned out so beautiful. The tile work was exceptional and so was the paint. The vanity, tub, and fixtures were all installed perfectly. Marco's work crew was exceptional as well. All of the guys were nice, respectful, punctual, and always cleaned up very well. We live in a condo association and a lot of our neighbors commented on how well the work crew cleaned up their work area outside that they set up to cut the tile. Marco came by during the process several times to check on everything and make sure we were happy. In addition anytime we had questions he was very accessible by cell phone and text. On any remodeling job there can be unforeseen issues which could cause owner frustration, but when we had an issue with our sub flooring in our bathroom Marco was patient and walked us through everything to get it resolved smoothly. Overall we were really pleased with Marco and Pearl Remodeling and would highly recommend them to everyone we know. If we ever have another project we will definitely use them again. read more

I can't say enough about the great experience we had with Pearl Remodeling. We have had several contractors before, all with varying degree of quality, cost, and customer service. Pearl, by far, has been the best quality and customer service we've received. Jacob, one of the owners, worked within our budget to create an amazing garage remodel. I had a pergola with a good amount of dry rot. I called a few contractors to replace the rotted wood. They all seemed pretty costly to me. I called Pearl Remodeling (also dba Patios4All) and spoke to Jacob. He had project manager, Gal, come by that afternoon. He took me in a whole new direction by suggesting that I tear down the old pergola and put up a heavy duty, insulated aluminum patio. I resisted, as I generally do when someone tries to sell me on something different from what I want. I listened just to be polite. Within a half an hour I realized all the benefits of a maintenance free, sturdy and beautiful patio. And the clincher was it cost about the same as replacing the dry rot lumber. And that INCLUDED the demo and hauling of the old pergola. Gal said they could start in about three days and it would take three days to complete. He called the next morning and said if it worked for me they could demo the old pergola and start putting up the new patio that afternoon. They completed the job by the following afternoon and installed 2 ceiling fans at no extra charge. NEVER had that happen with a contractor. UNBELIEVABLE!! But the best part is they won't leave until you are COMPLETELY satisfied. About 3 months later, after the first light rain, I got a call from Gal asking if I noticed any leaks. There was a small drip around the skylight I had them install and an issue with an power outlet. No problem. They took care of it. 6 stars from me. read more

We recently remodeled our master bedroom/master bathroom, updated the laundry room and installed a new HVAC system with Pearl Remodeling. We interviewed several contractors from different companies but Ben from Pearl Remodeling was the most personable and understood our vision. After a bit of research (Houzz reviews) and a recommendation from a co-worker, we chose Pearl Remodeling and they did not disappoint. Did kitchen and living room flooring with Pearl last year. Very happy with their quality of work and efficient crew. Call them last week to help us on a room addition in our second floor. Gal came, examined the site and explained to us the different stages involved to do the work and even gave us a rough estimate on the same day. He came by our house early November to give us a bid on a partial remodel for our bathroom. We had set a date to start demo and ordered our new vanity. Between the bid date and start date we had some personal things come up that would push us to try to find a company that could give us a better quote. The people we were referred to by a friend didn't work out so I gave the go ahead to Ben. Another roadblock came up and again we were forced to try and find someone who could come in lower. We completed a major backyard remodel and are extremely happy with our results. We worked with Ron, who is one of the owners and he was professional, responsive, and extremely helpful. We had some ideas for what we wanted our backyard to look like and Ron actually gave us some input that made the design even better.
