I really was not impressed with this company. After reading their reviews I was expecting a level of professionalism and service way above what we experienced. Sadly I don't recall the name of the employee who came out to quote us on several significant projects needing immediate attention, but he was so rude it was almost shocking. He was short, would cut us off mid sentence as we were explaining exactly what we wanted done, and had an attitude that was just appalling. He acted as if he was doing us an enormous favor by coming out to quote the work (which we needed done immediately, and I was really thinking the quote would be just a formality with this company since their reviews were so overwhelmingly positive!). He was arrogant, dismissive, completely rude and we tossed the estimate the minute he left and hired a different contractor. If your contractor won't listen to you before work begins, it's hard to imagine being able to communicate during the project should something go wrong or need to be addressed. read more

I made an appointment for 7pm with some nice lady on the phone. She said we could set up an estimate at my parents house in San Fernando Valley where the work needs to be done. I drove all the way from downtown LA to the Valley fighting through some very painful traffic. 7pm comes and goes so I call the office and get nothing but a voicemail. Definitely not doing business with these kind of people! Now I gotta drive all the way back to LA where I live! What a huge waste of time, gas, and energy. ******This is a supplemental comment********* Changing from 1 star to 3 stars I'm giving a higher rating since Ron the owner reached out to me and worked very hard to correct a mistake made by one of his employees. He came to the house a few days later and offered to beat any other offers, but by that time I was not willing to do any business with his company even though he apologized. The poor experience from the start put a bad taste in my mouth. I understand mistakes happen but if I will be investing a lot of time, energy, and money I do not want any mistakes whether it was on accident or from incompetence. read more

This company was a true pleasure to work with on our master bathroom remodel, and I would without hesitation hire them again. Gal and Ben our project managers, and our foreman Cesar were all highly professional, polite, and very focused on making sure we were happy with the work that was done. I previously survived two bathroom, one kitchen, and one whole-house reconfiguration with other companies, and know that any substantial remodeling work is at the very least a major disruption. They made it as easy as possible and we are thrilled with the result! I'll add some photos I took to show the quality of the finished work and "before" and "after" panoramas so you can see the transformation. More details about what working with Pearl was like: Before hiring them, I found photos of our dream bathroom online, and we used that as a basis for agreeing on the scope of work. Ben created a detailed contract saying what would be included and a completion date. As we agreed to in our contract, my husband and I visited showrooms and home improvement stores and within two very busy weekends we picked out, ordered, and paid for all the finish materials: tiles, paint, vanity, sinks, fixtures. There was no designer involved which was fine for us. I hadn't realized there wouldn't be any professional drawings, but for my own clarity I needed them, so I used MacDraft to create plans and elevations to show and discuss with Gal what we wanted and with his input modified it so it would work and past code inspection. It was a down to the studs remodel of the entire bathroom, without moving any plumbing, and converting the shower into a steam shower. Adding a steam shower wasn't cheap, but we LOVE it! Gal was great about encouraging us to order everything at the outset ASAP so there would be no delays. Gal or Ben were here almost every day checking in, but of course like any remodeling, I did my best to communicate as clearly as possible to their workers and subcontractors how we wanted things done. Their tile and glass door subs were highly skilled, the plumber a little less so -- note the crooked tub handle, which they did cut into the drywall and get fixed. There were a few "surprises" along the way as is to be expected with an old house, but how amazing is this: A major surprise was when the electrical panel didn't have enough power for the steam unit. Gal said it was on them and paid to have their electrician run a new line all the way from our main panel. Another surprise was after the mirroring came off the wall, and we were given options on how to proceed, and when we chose one of the lower-cost solutions they offered, Ben and Cesar decided they wouldn't be happy with the quality of the finish, and on their dime used the more expensive option replacing most of the drywall with brand new instead. Impressive! All along the way, both Gal and Ben kept checking in with me: Is there anything we could be doing differently to make your happier? Are you happy? Yes! Really, they are like the Ritz Carlton of remodeling customer service! read more

Ron, I was finally able to get my Yelp account working again, so sorry this took so long! This is a review for two jobs Pearl Remodeling and crew did for us at our house. One, we needed a concrete water drainage system, complete with inline drains the entire way out to the street on the side of our house. This required a lot of effort, concrete, and time. These guys had the job done ahead of schedule! They worked every single day, all day until the job was done. The project came out great, and now all of the water that used to pool on the side of the house goes right out to the street. Everything is still working great with the drainage system, no issues. They next project was getting the master bathroom completely remodeled. Once again, I gave pearl a call to get an estimate. Ron was definitely the most reasonable with his bid. The main part of the project, was replacing the old nasty rotted shower with all new tile, cement, shower heads, steam unit, etc... The tile work was some of the best I've seen. These guys really do great tile work! The chrome hardware is excellent, and the new glass doors look and work perfectly. We also had a new jacuzzi tub installed, new tile for the floor, new toilet, new faucets for the sinks, and new paint in the bathroom as well. I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting. Most of the time this job took was spent waiting on parts. They were really good about getting right on the job whenever the parts came in. Once again, the bathroom was finished quickly, and it all came out great in the end. I highly recommend these guys! Thanks again Ron and Eric! read more

We recently remodeled parts of our apartment with Gal as our general contractor, and he and his team went above and beyond. This was our first home, and we were very naive on the process of remodeling, but Gal patiently helped us navigate the intricacies of remodeling. Of course, with any remodeling project, we expected to have some events that were not ideal, but we were always very thankful for Gal's help along the way. He always tried his best to remediate or offer solutions for any unforeseen problems we encountered. And we especially love the way our kitchen turned out! We dreamed of having an open kitchen/living room plan and a large center island, and Gal and his team were able to make that happen. Throughout the entire process, Gal's crew was very polite, respectful, and helpful - often going the extra mile to improve our place with little details. Pearl Remodeling did a phenomenal job, and we cannot recommend them enough. read more

Great service got my garage remodeled everything was prompt and they contractor was very helpful with all my question.

This is a WAY long overdue review for Pearl Remodeling, and more specifically, for our contractor Marco! Our house had some overdue remodeling that needed to be tackled. We are extremely un-handy so we really needed to hire someone who could take care of everything for us. Marco was fantastic! He and his team handled everything from landscaping to interior and exterior painting and a whole list of other things with finesse. We had a lot of other stuff to stress about during our remodeling, so we are very grateful to Marco and his team for working so efficiently, for making the remodel hassle-free, and of course, for making everything look great. Marco constantly kept us updated throughout the process, and always made us feel like we were a top priority for him, even though we know he had much bigger projects going on at the same time. The work was finished right on schedule, and Marco even came and did a final walk through to make sure that we were absolutely satisfied with all the work his team performed. Long story short, if you're looking for a contractor for a remodel or even simply for repairs, don't hesitate to call Pearl Remodeling and ask for Marco! We can't say enough glowing things about him, and even if you have to wait a bit before he can take on your project (no surprise, he might be pretty booked over the summer), it'll be worth the wait! read more

I love these guys!!! Ben and his crew were phenomenal. Once we got permits it was full throttle. I got continued photo updates. We ran into a few issues but those were quickly solved. Ben has a great eye for design and suggested changes which worked very well. I can't wait to have Ben start our kitchen remodel. read more

We already had the majority of our condo remodel completed by trades in other projects and some DIY with the exception of our master bathroom, which we knew we needed a professional team that would do it right. The bathroom hadn't been completely redone in decades and any "remodeling" previously was done haphazardly and without any vision. We took a separate vanity & shower/commode area that was cramped and outdated and Pearl has turned it into a spa quality large master bathroom. And they did it all at a fair price that also included design input and favorable pricing for materials based on their good relationships. Without a doubt, the best part of the job is the quality of finished product though. Cesar and his team (including the amazing tile work of Omar) were a pleasure to work with. Cesar has an extremely high standard for quality, and his team is knowledgable and talented. They not only worked diligently, but they worked through some unique situations also such as hanging a barn door on an opening with no clearance. I would highly recommend working with Cesar and asking for him and his team for your project that you pursue with Pearl. read more

We hired Pearl Remodeling to redo 2 of our bathrooms and put in new flooring throughout our home. Overall we have been very happy with their work. The 2nd project went a little over schedule but our project manager Ben more than made up for it by going above and beyond to make sure we were happy and satisfied with everything at the end of the day. He even suggested improvements in his crews work himself and readily fixed any touchups we pointed out. read more

After my review both Jacob and Ron contacted me to resolve the rain gutter issue. It turned out that the rain water will still flow onto my patio because of uneven leveling. Ron came out and offered to add another rain gutter but there's no point for the excess. I'm happier now with their follow through and it made a difference. Ron and I had a great conversation and really impressed with how he remembered my project. It wasn't the smoothest experience due to an employee they hired back then but this does make up for it. I will contact them for future projects. Thank you again. read more

We recently used Pearl Remodeling for back to back bathroom remodeling projects (we completely gutted both rooms!) and cannot recommend them enough! Ben was a great overall project manager and was really communicative about realistic project expectations and timing around other projects. Work (especially on the first bathroom) was done incredibly fast and all the various teams coming in were great- demo, plumbing, electrical, tile, glass etc. The tile work is STUNNING. They really worked with us on custom ideas we came up with to make it fit in the space, like figuring out the curtain rod into glass in the guest bathroom, or the custom slab top on the vanity in the master to fit the bowl sink we wanted. Santi's team was awesome. While I don't recommend doing all of this while 5-8 months pregnant like I did...they were also super accommodating to our work & life schedules when needed. Would definitely use them again. read more

We had an AMAZING experience working with Pearl Remodeling!!!! We cannot speak more highly of this entire team. As first time homeowners, my husband and I needed a contractor who we could really trust to guide us through the entire process. We are SO LUCKY that we got to work with Izhak as our project manager!! From the moment we met him at our consultation, he impressed us with his professional yet personable demeanor. We knew that we would be in good hands with someone who actually cared about his clients and wanted to help them make their dream home come true. And as overwhelming as it all seemed, we also knew that he would make it an enjoyable process that we would feel proud of at the end. Izhak has a designer's eye, so he was an amazing sounding board for us to figure out how we wanted to remodel our floors and bathroom. He made himself available to us 24/7 and always made us feel like we were his top priority. Izhak even took an entire day to drive around town with us to find laminate flooring, a bathroom vanity, and bathroom tiles. He is extremely reachable via phone and text and always got back to us within a few minutes. Izhak is a fantastic project manager and he comes with a great team of workers - Santiago was a fantastic foreman! He and his guys worked so hard and so fast, we are so grateful for the amount of care and attention they put into our house. When it came to applying for permits and working with the city inspector, the entire Pearl Remodeling team especially the two owners, Ron and Jacob, got involved to help expedite and make sure it all went smoothly. They have a lot of experience with applying for permits around town so they were very good at holding our hands through the process. Jacob personally came to every inspection and helped us make sure that we addressed everything that the inspector asked for. Thank you Jacob!! At every juncture, we would say to ourselves, "we are so lucky to have found Pearl Remodeling!!" We had a very tight timeline of just 2 months to get everything done, and Izhak and Pearl Remodeling stayed true to their word and were able to deliver us a miracle on time! We ended up remodeling a little more than we were expecting to, but we never felt pressured by Pearl Remodeling to do more than we could afford. They were extremely honest about costs and timing and gave us lots of special discounts and threw in extra bonuses (like repainting our walls, fixing drywall, coming back to fix things after we finished, etc) to help us out. We are so thankful to Pearl Remodeling for everything!! If we ever need to do another project, we will 100% work with these guys again!!! read more

Pearl Remodeling was great from start to finish. They did a bathroom and laundry room remodel for us which looks phenomenal! The work was completed on this job right before Memorial Day weekend. What a difference! The workmanship of all of the tradesmen that worked our job is top notch. I highly recommend this company. We had a few bids when we started our remodel, and Jacob took the time and care with us that we were looking for. After he won our bid, the service did not end there. Jacob was always in close contact for questions/concerns throughout the remodel via text. Sean, his foreman, was equally accessible. Everything that they promised they followed through with and were honest about the pricing. Nothing went over what we budgeted or agreed upon in advance. They also finished ahead of schedule. Jacob under promised and over delivered as far as we are concerned, and we are so appreciative! We will definitely call Pearl Remodeling next year when we undertake more remodeling. On a side note, even though Pearl Remodeling is located in Van Nuys, they service the South Bay so don't be deterred by their business address! read more

It's really difficult finding a reputable contractor who is upfront, professional, excellent at what they do, and can turn out a good product. Well, Pearl Remodeling was able to do just that. I worked with Ben from beginning to end, and he was always true to his word even though we had a couple of minor hiccups. As you can see, I have pavers in my backyard and also in my driveway. Unfortunately, some damage occurred BUT, Ben made sure it was repaired like new. I would suggest with any job for your home, you make provisions to ensure that you have an understanding before the work is started to put cloths down, boards, or any other coverings to protect those things you care about. But, like I said, Ben ensured any damages were repaired with no problem. Also, my patio covers are great as far as workmanship and materials. They are aluminum and beautiful. Just a couple of tips: as you can see in the picture, they won't cover you completely from the sun or rain, which is why I got them. So, I'm a little disappointed on the smaller cover. I love the larger one. At some point I will have to extend it to meet my needs better. Also, it's a little noisy so get extra insulation on an aluminum product. So ask questions so you have a good understanding and get what you want if it's within your budget. Excellent job though overall going with this company. read more

Really good experience with Pearl Remodelling. Marco and the team were very professional. Upfront with costs. Worked around my schedule. Went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with their work. Would definitely use them again. All work was permitted, and by licensed contractors - great for peace of mind. There was only one true unplanned for mishap, but that got resolved professionally. The bullet points: THE JOB - Re-roofing of house and detached garage - Remodel of garage RE-ROOF JOB - Fantastic job. Really clean work, everything done with care. Looks really sharp. REMODEL JOB - Teardown of old garage roof and insides - Added insulation and drywall - Made vaulted ceilings - Installed skylights - Epoxy floor - Installed fluorescent lights - Paint - Again, looks great. Pearl Remodeling nailed it! I'm not a great reviewer in general but in this case I felt the need in sharing the experience I had with Pearl. I started by interviewing different general contractors to take over my kitchen remodeling project and I must say, the estimates stage itself had already taken 50% of the energy I was saving for the entire project LOL Out of the 3 companies I interviewed Isaac with Pearl Remodeling who stood out the most in many ways, he was honest and really listened to my needs. Their bid was right among the rest of them GC's (well at least the ones who actually provided me with one...) and the decision was easy, as easy as it can be while saying goodbye to $38k . We made some changes to the proposal and 2 days later we agreed on the price and signed a contract for a full kitchen remodeling project and some other interior remodeling tasks. They started with a kitchen remodeling planner/designer that created a great rendering which helped me a lot in visioning the future kitchen. After the design was signed they demolished my old cabinets and the rest is just history. COMMUNITCATION was the key word, I could get a hold of them instantly at any given time (I mean they answered my texts at 11PM J). Isaac supervised the Job closely, he made sure I was happy with how things were going and when things were not done properly they were the first to admit it and remedy the situation before I even got home, I literally did not do anything but buying the appliances and approving the designs. Construction wasn't bad after all, Pearl came to my house to work - No BS. If you bump into Isaac:  A. you are in good hands B. you will laugh until your mouth hurts.... read more

My husband and I just purchased our first home and the bathroom was U-G-L-Y. It was a very "typical Burbank bathroom"- pink tiles, linoleum flooring, awkward layout. We had dreams of getting a house with at least 2 bathrooms, but it just wasn't in our budget. Since we were limited to only one, we wanted it to be PERFECT and decided a remodel had to be done before we moved in. We shopped around a little and got quotes from some other places before meeting with Rick from Pearl Remodeling. We had a good feeling about him right off the bat. Rick knew his stuff and was easy to talk to. He was also the only person who didn't tell us our dream bathroom was out of reach. Double faucets in an oversized basin? Sure. Custom cabinets? No problem. Subway tiles? You got it. My husband and I are not ones to make snap decisions, but without even discussing it, we knew Rick would be able to get us what we want and signed a contract on the spot. He understood our vision, was able to work within our tight timeline, and gave us a very competitive price with options. Within hours we had picked out all of our fixtures, tile, and flooring, and three days later our hideous old bathroom was knocked down to its bones. One month later and we are now living with our dream bathroom. Everything about it is perfect. My husband and I are both creative people so attention to detail is key for us. Did we run into some hiccups along the way? Sure, but that's bound to happen with an older home. Overall, Rick and his team were still able to do everything promised in the quoted time frame and it looks fantastic. One truly outstanding part of our remodel is our custom vanity, counter top, and sink. It is a picture perfect, magazine-quality work of art. I still can't believe it's the same dingy bathroom we had just weeks ago. Aside from that, Rick was also great about answering the many questions we had as first-time homeowners- helping to direct us in some of our DIY projects around the house. We are so happy to have found a contractor we can trust and feel like we've made a lasting friendship in the process. The bathroom was just the beginning of our house transformation and we would 100% use Rick and Pearl Remodeling again. I will update with photos soon. read more

I don't know how these guys operate, but I had someone come to my house to give me an estimate, I already had my permits pulled to the property and the drawings handy. A "project manager" came to the house, looked at the drawings, and gave me an estimate for 75k without the finishings for a garage to ADU. The price was insane. Knowing the cost of materials, labor, and the contractors cut there was no justification for the price the guy gave me. Shop around before locking down. I got the same job done with finishings from a reputable contractor for almost half the price. Keep in mind, I had already paid for the permits and finished the drawings. read more

Based on some of the reviews on this site and a few others, I decided to go with Pearl Remodeling for a bathroom and kitchen remodel. At every step of the way, Izhak (the project manager) let me know what was happening and was always responsive to my calls and feedback. The rest of the team at Pearl Remodeling did a great job as well, thanks to Santiago and all of the others. Even when there were issues, Izhak and the Pearl Remodeling team were always willing to step in and make it right. I would not hesitate to recommend Pearl Remodeling for any large construction jobs and will definitely be using them again whenever I have another project. read more

We did a complete exterior renovation of our house in Burbank, and after meeting with 3 different contractors, we decided to go with Pearl Remodeling... And man, did we make the right choice! Izhak was our project manager, and we could tell right away that he has a serious passion for his work. When he came over the first time, we discussed our plans... he not only gave us some great ideas, but also talked us out of certain things that he thought would be a waste of money. How many contractors out there actually talk their potential clients OUT of spending more money? We obviously really appreciated that. The teams that they sent out to do the work were top notch, led by foreman Amnon. Izhak was there every step of the way, coming by a couple times a week to check up on things. Every time we had a question or an issue, he was on top of it immediately. The project is now finished, and we could not be happier with how it turned out. If you're thinking of hiring Pearl Remodeling, stop thinking about it and just do it already. And ask for Izhak.... you'll be glad that you did. read more

If you're thinking of renovating, look no further than Pearl Remodeling. Their work is impeccable. Their work ethic, second to none. Every person at Pearl, including all of their subcontractors, is a consummate professional. My project manager, Izhak Eskayo, was on top of every detail and totally responsive. The foreman Cesar and the QA lead George (yes, Pearl has a quality assurance person) were also great, very nice and super helpful. The entire crew, including Salomon, was so hard working, always on time, and very considerate. And the owner himself, Ron, was as professional, knowledgeable and patient as a client who knows nothing about construction could hope for. Hello Yelpers, Pearl Remodeling was our top choice for our project. We worked with them in developing plans for a room addd-on. Shortly after the plans were drawn up our financing fell through. We had an agreement with them for a total of $5,000 for the plans which was going to include submitting to the city. We obviously had every intention of continuing on and adding on the room but without the financing. Jacob quickly drew up a termination agreement which clearly showed that even though we owed him an additional $2,500 for the plans, that we would call it even. I appreciate their honesty and integrity. A bunch of honest, clean, and intelligent guys that I know would have gotten the job done right but thanks for your guys' time anyway! read more

Izhak and the team at Pearl Remodeling are a dream. I was in need of a general contractor to help me diagnose and fix an issue I was having with a leaky exterior wall and window. I asked around for some referrals and Izhak and his team came highly recommended by my friends who are doing an extensive renovation on their home with Izhak. I called and explained my situation and within a week Izhak and his team had diagnosed and solved my issue - which was quite small in relation to the home renovations they do. Great contractor! We searched around for the right contractor by experience and personality. Pearl remodeling has both. Izhak was an excellent project manager and help with our design. We needed to remodel the entire house but can't afford to do everything at once. So we had our priorities and a budget and we got quotes on remodeling different parts of the house. Our final decision was to remodel the floors, windows and sliding doors in our living/family room. Some touch up paint and patch work was also needed. The house was built in '88 and nothing has changed. The carpet was removed on the floors and stairs and replaced with laminate and engineered wood, respectively. 2 windows, 2 sliding doors and 1 additional sliding door replaced with a French door. In the process we needed some rotten wood replaced and Pearl was able to handle the work and continue (for additional cost of course). Always budget at least an additional 10% for whatever might come up. Anyway, the project took about a month because of all the rain but that's still pretty good. The stairs were a very difficult task and they are my wife's favorite part. We will certainly use Pearl Remodeling again hopefully this time next year when we remodel a couple of bathrooms. read more

This company was very professional with their scheduling and on time meeting. However, their estimate for a quick and simple finishing interior framework construction was outrageous on an existing structure! $19,000.00 to build one, new exterior wall (yes, a small amount of foundation work needed with myself doing the hard manual labor part to save money) build two small interior walls and install two doors and a window? Ludicrous. The employee, Ori was great, and I honestly would have loved to have hired him if he gave me any number under $5k. He said that they convert garages into permitted guest homes all the time now for around $60-$75k. I said good for you. Because they are charging double to triple the cost. Don't pay these prices people. Please, I am sure they will do good work but they are ripping you off horribly! read more

This has been my best experience with a construction company so far, and I would not hesitate to hire Pearl again. My contractor was Izhak and he was fantastic to work with. From the start, his bid was the most reasonable, and he came to me with the best ideas for my project. He and his project manager, George, and foreman, Ori, were all kind, patient, and very responsive throughout our project. There are always hiccups in a construction project, however, everything went smoothly, and any hiccups that came up were dealt with in a professional manner. I always felt like their main objective was to make sure I was satisfied, and several times Izhak went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly as I wanted it. This company does excellent work and built us a very beautiful ADU. Thank you Izhak and Pearl! read more
