    OGG poke bowl is massive
    Roberta L.

Came here for lunch! I got the OGG poke bowl which had a decent amount of rice and so much tuna I was surprised! It was probably 4 scoops if I had to compare it with other places. The flavor was pretty good and not too sweet. This poke place is just around the corner from Pearl Street Mall with some indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good, and they checked up on me a couple of times while I was there. I also had the Dole Whip cause it was so hot outside and it was also very refreshing! Give it a try!

Wonderful little Poke place just a few doors off the west end of Pearl. We have not had a dedicated poke bowl place in Boulder before, so far from HI or even from CA. The owner/ founder has two other eateries in the same neighborhood so when he moved his first eatery , the venerable Zoe Ma Ma onto Pearl, he transformed this cute little spot in a peek of HI, right down to genuine Dole Whip as the dessert option. The interior has been transformed too. Clean bright beachy colors, bright light color tile with wavy patterns. The choice of bowl is almost limitless as one category is design your own under category "mainland bowl." The other preplanned bowls are all named for HI locations. You can build with bases, proteins, vegetables, sauces and toppings. It's easy to accommodate special diets, whether vegan, dairy free, gluten free or keto. They have smaller, lower priced bowls designed for kids. Prices are good too and they don't take tips. A 15% service is collected and shared with all workers. It's a system I happen to like. It's better than raising prices so much that people might avoid choosing and more and more eateries are shifting this way. I had a brown rice base, tuna as protein. Veggies were carrots , daikon, cucumber, shiitake, sauce was ponzu, toppings of seaweed salad, shredded nori, masago and furitake. My husband had similar choices but salmon as protein and a soy chili sauce and fried wonton strips in his topping. We both had the hibiscus iced tea ( it is slightly presweetened) and we both hade the classic authentic Dole whip dessert. I've never been anywhere where it was served, having been to the Dole plantation on Oahu and Disneyland before it was ever invented. I love that it is dairy and soy free, just pineapple and water and a food stabilizer. Tasted great. We went off hours to be sure to learn the system and to be guaranteed an indoor seat. There is more seating with this redesign of the space and in good weather, still a table bar for outside seating. Note that the online menu is mostly set up as a delivery or pickup system but if you work through it and want to eat in, you can and be extra convenient to know the options. We certainly will be regulars.

Wonder selection for Poke! I made a bowl but you can also select one of the premade bowls. The hibiscus tea was tasty and the owner was super sweet! I will be trying the Dole whip next

Tell me why they don't have edamame, crispy tempura, crispy onions, like without crispy things u might as well order some mash potato slop because it's gonna be squishy as hell. Also the way they cut their cucumbers don't expect small crispy bites it's soggy too. Their sauces are bomb I respect the sauce but dam they are never fully stocked it's a shame. Every time I try to order food from here they're missing ingredients last time it was literal salmon I legit had to tell my man to walk out of the store I was so frustrated and am very hangry now lol idk where to get good poke someone please help me!!!! PS went to Rocky fin it was also TERRIBLE the public needs to know the truth about these places and the quality and consistency of ingredients. I understand supply chain issues but not having edamame for a poke bowl restaurant is insane go to a grocery store at least for ur product, my managers would go to Whole Foods when we ran out of product and did mark outs maybe u should try that

When you first walk in, there are two kiosks where you can place your order and you may walk up to the cash register and order with a live person. We chose to order at the register and the employee was very friendly and explained the whole Motomaki process, which we appreciated. The process on how-it-works is located on the wall, but we both prefer in-person customer service. We ordered three rolls and one fountain drink for a total of $57 with tax.... I thought that was high for what we got. The service was fast and the ingredients were fresh. I'm glad I got the sauce on the side. My husband didn't care for the rolls because he said the seaweed was too fishy and he described them as "seaweed burritos". The rolls fell apart after we took off the aluminum foil. Also, just an FYI: three rolls were too many and we both would have been fine with one each but now we know for next time. Overall, I thought the food tasted good, the service was great, the price was high, and we would opt for bowls next time.

I appreciate the options for greens, white rice, brown rice, or a combo for the base. I loved the crispy eggplant, especially dipped in the jalapeño aioli. The salmon poke was cut and flavored well. The toppings tasted fresh and added a great texture to the bowl. I loved the addition of asparagus, which I don't often see in poke bowls. The happy hour $3 off from 2-5 p.m. is a great deal and brought my filling bowl down to $15.75. My order wasn't accurate -- I had to go up to the counter to ask for missing items that I had paid to add (edamame and a side of jalapeño aioli), but I was given them without a fuss. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were generous. I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area.

I had a medium bowl with 3 proteins: shrimp, spicy tuna, and yellowtail (yellowtail is $1 extra) - Brown rice was cooked to perfection - shrimp wasn't overcooked - spicy tuna had a decent level of spice - yellowtail was fresh - sauces: spicy aioli and yuzu citrus - our server was very generous and I loved that! Spicy wasn't too spicy. The rest of the sides were also very fresh and you could tell they pay attention to their sides. After tax and tip my medium bowl was $26. I had the Lulu poke bowl (spicy tuna, mango, fried onions, edamame, and nori), and it absolutely hit the spot! The portions are generous for the price, the fish tasted fresh, and everything was seasoned well. The only slight downside was the musubi, as I've had better elsewhere, but that's definitely not going to stop me from coming back to try more of their food.
