Amazing service and solid products. Shipping times are solid, and every product I have ordered has checked out for all my needs.

You can only enter the store with a membership card. Recently, they also introduced a new rule: only the cardholder is allowed to pay for purchases. This is not always convenient, as in our case sometimes my husband paid, sometimes I paid, and sometimes our daughter used her card. Now this is no longer allowed. Shopping here is never a quick trip -- it usually takes around an hour because the store is so big. On average, our family of three spends about $250-$300 per visit, and that amount of groceries usually lasts us for about a week. Another interesting thing is that there are always different brand representatives in the store offering samples, so you can try products before buying them. It's actually very fun and helpful, and if you like something, you can purchase it right away. That's how I discovered one of my favorite flavors -- ginger, honey, and lemon, like a jam or spread. Now I love adding it to my tea. Overall, I do recommend this store for its variety and value. However, one downside is the long checkout lines, although this is understandable given how busy and popular it is.

After seeing others ordering and printing their receipts my wife finally got a worker to assist us. After checking the printer, he leaves to grab a replacement roll of paper. Then on replacing it blurts out, "you haven't paid yet boss." Now I'm getting upset, with my response being "oh yes I did, after two attempts!" Followed by the printer, now generating the fully paid receipt. No apology, just an "oh yeah." Large indoor food court with sufficient seating. And pigeons waddling their way in. The condiment station was the favorite hangout, with tables being a close second. And not a table wipe down to be seen. Our order of cheese pizza and hot dogs were met by, probably the nastiest tasting selection of fountain drinks I've ever experienced at a Costco Food Court. I much preferred the Pepsi offerings anyhoo. And to top it all off, before we'd actually seen any pigeons doing their thing on top of the condiment dispensers; mustard, ketchup, relish. I'm rolling along with my mustard; squirt! I prefer no ketchup on my dog. And then my relish? One squirt and all gone, empty. The Mrs. Never got any. And after informing the employees they were all out, never replaced. And others continued to make the relish change request. To no avail. Thank goodness we did get our chopped onions at the counter.

Upon entering there are shopping carts and baskets. Take a rolling one (trust me) and get ready for a wonderful store filled with food stuffs that will make you swoon. The neatly stacked shelves are filled with things like chocolate, jam, pasta, tinned seafood, chips, and pasta are all neatly organized. Tags indicating country of origin (largely from Europe) are helpful. There are refrigerators full of charcuterie, cheese, and French butter. Freezers have ready to bake breads and pastries from a bakery in Canada. It's actually quite overwhelming (in a very good way), if you don't know what you need. You'll definitely see lots of things you want. The people that work here seem happy and are very helpful. When we were looking at chips, one of the employees shared his favorites. The best part of the visit was meeting the owner. He was enthusiastic and extremely informative! He told us that everything in the store was sampled and scrutinized for taste and quality. He knew everything about the products and why they were sourced. He helped me find a delicious arbequina olive oil from Italy and tins of sardines packed it butter. Swoon. By the end of our visit my basket was full! While the items here are pricey I truly think that the quality is worth it. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located just outside. The store is clean and well organized. Bring your own reusable shopping bags because you'll need it for all the wonderful goodies. Definitely returning! Eric is a master Jedi and was so thoughtful, energetic, detailed and soooooo fun with his descriptions, guidance and suggestions. I am was so so happy to hear that that this place is extending its square footage as well. (Thank you Eric for sharing and showing us the new space!). I don't know what to say. You just have to go. Imagine yourself in some great food adventure and you enter a vast other wordly cathedral filled with gems and golden treasure. That's Epicurus Gourmet. I've been in LA for well over three decades and its rare that I am frozen in my footsteps when walking into a new spot - but this place did it. A vast Disneyland of tinned fish, butters, pastas, meats, chocolate, spices, so so much more. Honestly, for anyone passionate about food and cooking, it may make you cry visiting this spot. Perfection. Go. Many thanks to Eric and the entire staff for making our first visit with you wildly memorable and deeply enjoyable. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Soooooooooo glad you are nearby!

It was clear that there were not enough employees available to handle the number of customers, which led to unnecessary delays and a very disorganized experience. Customers were left waiting for extended periods without any clear communication or sense of urgency from the staff. The overall system they have in place seems inefficient and not designed to handle busy times effectively. I've included a picture to show exactly what the situation looked like--it speaks for itself. Costco usually has a reputation for good service, but this visit was very disappointing. I hope management takes a closer look at staffing and improves their process to better serve customers.

What a complete scam. Almost everything they sent was **expired or on the verge of expiring**. Chips tasted stale and rancid, candy was rock-hard and stuck together, snacks had that weird off smell, and the drinks were either flat or way past their sell-by dates. I'm talking boxes upon boxes of junk that should've been thrown out months ago. This wasn't a few bad items -- it was the **majority** of the shipment. I opened case after case only to find expiration dates from 3, 6, even 9 months ago. Who the hell sells expired food and drinks in bulk like this?! These crooks are preying on small businesses and resellers who expect wholesale products to at least be fresh. **Warning to everyone:** If you're stupid enough to order from Elite Wholesale, check **every single label and expiration date** the second your order arrives. Don't trust a word they say. They'll swear everything is fresh and current, but it's mostly old, expired crap they're trying to unload. Total waste of money. I had to throw out or heavily discount most of what I bought. My customers complained, I lost sales, and now I'm stuck with a bunch of garbage I can't sell. **Elite Wholesale is a shady, low-quality operation.** Save your money and your reputation -- stay far away from these expired-food pushers. **Zero stars. Never again.**

Francisco and everyone else that work there are so nice and helpful! Imagine rows of radicchio, rainbow chard, exquisite endive, squash blossoms, sunchokes and artichokes, fennel with their fronds tangled in long red chilies surrounded by pungent herbs like perilla, lovage, tarragon. An extra star just for that. But... My only gripe is their weekly Saturday BBQ. Through the years I have enjoyed both kinds of ribs, the brisket, sausages, turkey and chicken that they cook and smoke right outside in the parking lot. Even if you don't see it, you'll smell it within a couple blocks. I can't think of a better way to promote a bbq business and Handy Market knows it. They're counting on all the new customers who get lured in by the intoxicating scent of grilled meats on live fire to try this sad, sorry excuse that they call BBQ. All the meats are dry, tasteless and overcooked. They do not season any of the meat, not even a lick of salt. They want you to buy their sugary bbq sauce and baste them on the grill. Meaning you still have to finish cooking it at home but it was tasty enough and the price was low so it was worth doing for many years. Lately though, it's been expensive and inedible. The quality of all the meat has become sus and I was sold the driest beef ribs with texture like leather, that they probably dug up from the back of a freezer and a smelly turkey leg that's left over from like, Thanksgiving. My homemade bbq sauce could not save either meat and suffice to say I will never order barbecue from here again. What's happened to you, Handy Mart? I just can't believe you've slipped so far. This is the worst bbq in all of LA and I cannot recommend anyone eating here. Those brave souls who do not heed this cautionary tale cannot say you haven't been warned. Good luck.
