When we checked out, the cashier, a white girl named Misti, kept mentioning a promotion but never explained it clearly. She repeated the same statement without clarifying how it applied or why she was bringing it up. She also kept looking at us in a way that made the interaction feel uncomfortable, and she was not friendly throughout the exchange. I even asked, "I'm sorry, is the concern the cost? Because I have no issue there," hoping she would clarify. She didn't. Eventually, she stated that customers can only purchase up to six cans per person in order to receive the $1‑per‑can promotional price, but she still didn't explain how that related to the items I was buying or why it mattered. I asked whether she needed separate transactions or if there was a limit on how many cases I could buy, and still received no clear answer. I finally told her I just wanted to purchase my items and leave. At the end of the interaction, I asked if there was a place to leave feedback, and she said, "I'm sure there's something on the receipt for corporate." The issue wasn't the promotion, it was the lack of communication and the overall unfriendly, uncomfortable interaction. Misti would benefit from training on how to clearly articulate store promotions and communicate respectfully with customers.

I now have to consistently have them remake smoothies as there employees don't seem to be versed in the ingredients, or I am forced to drive out of my way to get a replacement. Thankfully the owners of the other one stops will usually comp my smoothie after I explain the experience. It's unfortunately a product of the world we live in. Nobody seems to take any pride or care in their work, even in something as simple as making a smoothie.

I've been going to peak for my supplements for a little over two years now. From day one they were friendly, positive and willing to really listen to your questions. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted, even if they were busy with customers. I was always given a complementary water bottle and asked how my day was going. The staff is always very knowledgeable about the products they carry and even on nurtition or questions about eating habits and meal planning. I have seen many different faces in the store and everyone of them has always been happy to be there. I built good relationships with the staff and even became friends with some. I've gone to events that peak nutrition hosted and had workout sessions with staff members. I've ran into staff at various gyms and they recognized me and said hi or came over to have a chat. I would recommend peak to anyone. From the pro who knows what they are looking for, to the person who might be starting their fitness and nutrition journey. Peak will lead you in the right direction. They are not pushy and don't try to "sell" you. Of course they recommend products and ask if you have tried different products but they will never pressure you into anything. Hell some of the staff has even given me a sample of their personal protein powder and pre workout so I could try a flavor. Overall 10/10 recommend this place. read more

The people at Peak, starting from the top and down, are kind. They immediately greet you with a smile and a water which goes a long way. In all my years of journeying the local supplement stores, Peak associates are the best versed at understanding ingredients of products and how they are best utilized. So often supplements are overprescribed hence Peak associates are conscientious enough to identify your needs and tailor a product that fits that need but doesn't over deliver or oversell. Another asset that distinguished Peak from adjacent supplement stores is there generosity of "samples". In all my years of training I have NEVER known a store that cares enough to have you feel comfortable with what you're using first in the form of a sample. Hands down best supplement&nutrition business in the state honestly. I've solely been going to Peak for the last 3-4 years because the whole staff is incredibly knowledgeable (all NASM Personal Trainer & Nutrition Certified), give you their genuine opinion on products, and ultimately do their absolute best to help you reach your nutrition goals. Between the great selection of products, free InBody scans, and awesome customer service, you can't beat these guys. They aren't here to sell a bunch of crap so they can make a quick buck. They will tell you "no you don't need that supplement, you just need to eat better quality food and drink more water." And that's the kind of honesty I appreciate. When I learned that he was opening a nutrition shop I was stoked because I knew of his extensive knowledge in fitness and nutrition. I was super impressed with how organized and clean the shop was. James was very professional and educated me about the different kinds of proteins and supplements and helped me choose the best brand for me. The reviews speak for themselves - this is the best nutrition and supplement store you'll find in the valley. I found them after meeting James at the gym many years ago. These guys practice what they preach and their passionate about what they do. I've gotten preworkout, protein, BCAAs, pre-made meals, etc from here and every time I go in, the employees are super personable and they're smart as hell. I once went in and didn't even end up buying anything and they still spent about 20 minutes putting together a customized meal plan for me. The customer service here is unparalleled. I found Peak Nutrition when I was looking for 1st Phorm supplements. When I went in, they were so nice! They helped me with what I was looking for and even recommended more products that fit my needs. I even got a free sample for one of the products I was interested in! Got these goodies at the awesome brand new Peak Nutrition Store! Obsessed with CTC, easily one of my favorite aspects about this company is the fact they're bringing so many new products to Arizona. Not just new products but products with quality. I personally use 1st Phorm daily and the CTC is mouth watering. Another great one is Fruit Loops. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even sent me home with samples and a water bottle. Nick helped me out with a FREE meal plan too! I walked out satisfied and a little addicted! Went in for the first time and was welcomed like I was family! Tristan was of great help and understood my fitness needs. After getting my measurements he put together a great nutrition plan to get me hitting my goals. The supplements he recommended made perfect sense and he even let me try a few flavors. Wow! Nothing but fantastic things to say about James and his team. From the moment I stepped into the store, James made me feel welcome. He provided me with an absolutely free nutrition and fitness plan for 30 days (which I followed for about 45 days). From this plan, I saw incredible results. Sara was so helpful! I first came in about a month ago and I left feeling down about where I was, I was asked to return in 2 weeks but I didn't because I felt embarrassed, but Sara called me out which was exactly what I needed. Both times I've been there I didn't end up buying everything I wanted to because the owner was so deep in conversation with everyone else who walked in about herself, the new space she wanted to manifest, how she manifested it, etc. I almost felt like I was interrupting her by wanting to buy something. The first time I had to wait until everyone else had left (including people who came in after me). I did manage to get some delish chocolate! It was definitely on the pricier side (I think I spent something like $12 on two chocolate bites) but it can be nice to splurge sometimes on fresh, raw chocolates with ethically sourced ingredients. The shop also had a small selection of loose herbs for tea (kind of like the ones at Southwest Herbal), which is pretty cool and getting harder and harder to find. I also wrote down a few product names and book titles to research. The new location is a lot smaller than the old one so the selection is smaller, but I like that it is an amazing building shared with other people doing healing work. I really enjoyed the open house there. I spent most of the time talking to people who share the building and they were all so genuine, which is so refreshing as people in this space can sometimes be quite self-absorbed. I even managed to snag some incense which the owner told a group of us was free and handed to everyone but me until I asked (even though I was the only person in the group who was about to buy something). I wanted to buy a specific flower mist during the open house but the owner was super busy talking to and helping all the other folks there (including one who she rang up before helping me even though she came in after me). Luckily the new location is super close to Lotus Wei, which has a larger selection of products and a friendly, attentive staff who was actually eager to help me, so I was able to get what I needed right after I left. I also found some great bath salts there and met a very sweet dog. I definitely try to shop consciously in stores where I can ask questions and get help, but I totally understand the impulse to only pay attention to certain people and ignore others. Getting a new space is certainly exciting and it's probably more interesting to discuss that with friends than it is to ring someone up. And I guess it's easy to take older customers for granted. That said, having to ask for freebies, being ignored, and even being asked if someone could cut in line certainly doesn't make me want to do business here. I read the owner response and I don't think the store being crowded and busy is a reason to ask someone if they mind if you ring up the person behind them first... and again, this is the second time I visited and I certainly didn't feel like I got the utmost personal attention in the larger location, even when I was the only person in the store. (As mentioned, I had to wait for people to leave to even be able to buy anything.) I do think this is a space to source ideas for gifts--even if I do end up picking them up somewhere else where people actually want to help me! (I honestly can't remember the last time I was made to feel like I was deemed unworthy to buy things.) The other practitioners seem really cool, which is great because it's a very nice building. Maybe some of that energy will rub off on Kaya Holistics!
