Do not recommend went here for a periodontal exam with a family member as a new patient referral only to be told I need to pay $550 upfront for a ct scan. The so called doctor walked in explained nothing and said we need to pay $550 before they proceed by to know if surgery is needed or another deep cleaning is needed. The front desk manager was extremely rude when and argued us down about having the insurance card or the appointment would be canceled when we came in mind you they already had the insurance number from the referral to do any charges or authorizations. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT COME HERE. My daughter was referred here by her primary dentist. We were told she needed a root canal re-treatment and that she needed a CT scan for the treatment which costed almost $300. The person who attended to us told me all these horror stories and that if the RCT doesn't work, my daughter might need surgery. CT scan done and came back to our follow-up appointment only to be told that the RCT wasn't needed at all. I asked to speak to the LADY that I was speaking to at our last appointment and they kept ignoring my request. They brought in some other person that soured that whole visit even more so that it already was. He was absolutely RUDE and when I asked for the LADY that I spoke to during our last visit, he just smugly corrected me saying, "we're DOCTORS, not ladies", but never addressed it. This place scams people. My daughters dentist office referred us there to get a root canal done. Her dentist doesn't do root canal on kids which is why they sent us to the "specialist" I go to the office and they take an x ray of the tooth and they say "oh yea the tooth needs a root canal and they are able to do it. then they say they need an another xray that costs $260! but medical doesn't cover it but it's needed for the procedure .so i pay it and make the follow up appointment for it to get done. i drive all the way there and the dentist said they can't do it because she's too small and i should go to usc because there's nothing they can do. she was the same size when she went in for consultation, so how a week later "she's to small. when i called and asked for my money back they said the manager would call me back right away and i haven't heard from them since. scammers! read more

My daughter needed 4 wisdom teeth taken out all at once. Her friend recently almost died from a complication with her wisdom teeth extractions where she spent more than a week at an ICU. DO NOT RECOMMEND * Nearly all the staff are extremely unprofessional and hostile especially the office manager (Stephanie Rodriguez) and front desk receptionist (Sydney Grant) (identified from their website and yelp) * Office and services lack transparency with process and billing * Did not even get a legitimate consultation or professional opinion * Scheduled an appointment to see the oral surgeon, ironically, the "specialists" were not there * Waste of time and insurance Some things the office manager and receptionist said while I was there: * "I'm not even gonna argue with you right now" * "Let me just drop everything I'm doing just to help you" I visited this office to get a second consultation on wisdom teeth removal, so I was expecting to see the oral surgeon. When scheduling the appointment, I explicitly asked for the particular doctor displayed on their website. In the end, they were not there the day I visited. I had already taken X-rays from a different office, but Peak Dental Specialists insisted that I had to redo the X-rays with them "for their own patient records." I reluctantly agreed and the overall experience was beyond dissatisfying. Despite being on time for the appointment, the office was seeing patients that checked in after me. After finally doing the new X-rays and seeing who I believe was the general dentist, honestly not sure, he insisted that I had to get a CT scan before even booking a second appointment to get a legitimate consultation with the actual oral surgeon, not even the actual procedure. It felt like a cash grab as my first consultation had already approved the procedure with just a panoramic scan alone. On top of that, not only was the general dentist overbearing with his tone and attitude and talking over me, but when questioned on possible next steps and asked why the CT scan was needed he insisted again that it was part of their procedure and criticized the other orthodontist office I had went to for not being thorough. After speaking with the general dentist, he was not knowledgeable on what the billing process looked like and left the room without any indication of coming back. I assumed that the appointment was over and made my way to the front desk where the snappy attitude became more obvious. Not sure, but I suppose that the employees, especially the ones at the front, get the vibe on whether or not to keep treating the patients hostilely (refer to the quotes above). Before I left, I also wanted to receive a copy of the new panoramic scan, but the front desk employees were dragging their feet on that and were not being helpful or accommodating to my urgency to attend another engagement. I was also given a quote to sign that included the CT scan I did not do, I would not recommend doing this, but the day after I had visited, I called in and requested a copy of proof that accurately reflected what procedures were performed when I visited. Initially, the employee I was on the phone with, probably the office manager, asked why I needed the record. I wanted an accurate record and do not understand why I was questioned for that, but she then proceeded to claim that they are not able to provide it. Ultimately, I was able to receive a copy of the bill to my insurance, but it was a struggle. I would never have visited this office if I had known that the oral surgeon was not there, the CT scan was considered a "must", and their unprofessionalism. The individuals working at this office had very distasteful service and remarks. NOTE: I believe there was two general dentists the day I visited, a man and a woman. Although I did not see them listed on the website. The office lists their connected specialists to look credible and established, however they do not list the general dentists, which potentially lacks accountability. read more

My 12yr old son went in for a tooth extraction, and in my opinion somewhat of a complicated procedure just because of where the tooth was located...Of course as a mother there's always concerns but Dr. Liu made all those feelings fade away with his confidence and uplifting humor! My husband is in so much pain, and was referred to this office. We never got there, so I cannot write about the quality of the dentists, but I would like to inform everyone of the poor quality of customer service I received from Sidney today. I was trying to figure out if they would have a possible appointment time open for my husband in the near future as he is in excruciating pain, and all she could keep responding was that she couldn't give me any help until we came in for a consult. I already gave her the codes for the procedure he needed as they were given to me by the referring dentist. Still, she wouldn't even look on her schedule to let me know if there was a possibility of him being seen this Friday or next. Some people can't just call out without repercussions from their job, and I really needed to get some idea of what we were looking at. Anyway, after I told her she was being most unhelpful she proceeded to hang up on me. I called back to finish asking who the oral surgeon was in their office, and a new girl told me Sidney had left the office and was not available..... from 30 seconds before...sure. I was so impressed with the courtesy and professionalism of the clinic. They were also very kind, the clinic was clean and fresh and they explained everything in detail to us so that we felt very comfortable. When my son had surgery, I could not believe how quick and easy it went! Dr. Lui did an amazing job. My son said he has no pain and the Doctor was very gentle and also cool and Dr. Lui also called us after surgery for a follow-up to see how Anthony was doing and if we had any questions or concerns, which we did not because as I said, the clinic nurses and Doctor were very thorough in explaining everything and giving us directions and recommendations for his care. I have (5) kids, (6) grandkids and several nieces and nephews. Out of all of the previous other (8) surgeries over the years that were done elsewhere... They were absolutely amazing from the staff at the front desk to Victor and of course the doctor that did my root canal. Honestly, the root canal didn't hurt at all. The worst part was the numbing process because of the needle and the annoying thing that they hold your mouth open with, but the actual root canal did not hurt. . Everyone is so nice here. read more

All I can say is Wow! I'm super impressed! Firstly, get your wisdom teeth pulled at an early age and don't wait until the pain sets in and it becomes a problem like I did after 40. My wisdom tooth was a special case that no oral surgeon wanted to touch. It was impacted and could have caused a broken jaw and the loss of all nerve sensation in the mouth and facial regions, but Dr. Liu was not afraid to tackle the task. I had three total wisdom teeth that needed pulling. This Doctor is a true magician, an actual Samurai in the business of pulling wisdom teeth. I'm so pleased with the outcome!!! In less than an hour, he had pulled all three teeth without breaking the jaw bone, without damaging the nerve (which was literally right there), and I recovered in no time with all the feeling returning back to my mouth and face.
