As we walked into the Peacock, the aroma from the kitchen was overwhelmingly delicious smelling! I knew we were going to have the best lunch!! We placed our orders at the counter with a lovely, sweet, friendly, helpful girl that answered all of our questions. The food was AMAZING! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The place was sparkling clean and spotless! We were served quickly. We went for lunch and I had a traditional dish called the Trio Rice Plate. I was disappointed to be told I couldn't have the pork because they had run out of it. I had the grilled marinated beef, with a fried spring roll, and 3 grilled shrimp. The others in my party were happy with their Vermicelli (noodle) Bowls. One had the chicken lunch special and the other had the Sautéed beef and onions over noodles. Everything came with a small bowl of fish sauce to pour over your meal if desired. The noodle bowls came with lots of surprises under the noodles. Love this place when I need to get some fresh food for lunch, I never feel groggy or inflamed after eating here. The chicken curry is delicious and would highly recommend trying it. You may have a wait depending on the day, but the food is always so so good and staff are friendly! read more

Gotta go with a straight three stars. I have been here before and the food was better in the past. I was the only one in the restaurant and it took almost 20 minutes to receive a bowl of pho. Sadly, the pho noodles were mushy and stuck together (which indicates it was cooked too long). The interior of the shop has remained unchanged m. It's open and clean and no issues there. The staff were very friendly, including the cook who took time to come out and clarify some things about our order. I'm vegan and my friend is vegetarian and we were excited to try this place. The menu is a little confusing. If you are vegetarian be aware that the vegetarian soup is made with chicken stock. The vegetable curry has fish sauce as does the peanut sauce for the spring rolls. I wound up getting the vegetable fried rice and the spring rolls (I skipped the peanut sauce). Both were tasty. This place is definitely worth checking out but be aware the vegetarian options may contain animal products. We walked up to the counter to place our orders, assisted by the loveliest, smiliest young woman in Sierra Vista. Pepper Shrimp over rice for my friend, Vegetarian Summer Rolls and Shrimp Fried Rice for me. We found a table and struck up a conversation with two women at the next table who were enjoying huge bowls of Noodles with Shrimp and Chicken. Their food looked so good, and both ladies said yes, indeed, the food is fantastic! They told us that they come often to eat at Peacock and are never disappointed. We returned to our seats as our Rolls were being delivered. Oh, joy! Fresh! Flavorful! So, so good! And the rolls came with peanut sauce and chili sauce. Both good, but my friend and I preferred the chili to accompany the sumptuous rolls. Soon our entrees arrived and our eyes about popped out of our heads at the size of the shrimp in the pepper dish and the portion size of both meals. The food was nothing short of amazing. It got very quiet at our table as we dug into our feast. A couple of happy girls! We devoured as much as we could eat and then asked for to-go boxes. We had plenty to take home for the gents, who were grateful recipients. We said we'd take them with us next time if they can behave. As we packed up to head for home a beautiful woman approached, asking what we had eaten and how we liked our food. We raved, and then had a delightful conversation with the owner, chef, and mastermind behind Peacock. This human dynamo is funny, engaging, and a fabulous Vietnamese chef. I'm finally back to try the chicken lemongrass. It's a Friday special. I walked in on a Friday at noon. Several take-out orders were ready for pick-up. I came in to eat inside. I ordered the chicken with lemongrass with mild sauce, which is served on the side. I sat against the wall. I plugged in my Chromebook to charge it up while eating and it immediately picked up the free wifi for guests. I ordered my meal and in a few minutes had it brought out to my table. They use cloth napkins here, what a treat. I found the sauce too salty. I'll stick to the chicken curry next time. Portion was filling, though. Prices have gone up since my last visit, but they have gone up everywhere. Specials are now $12. read more

Stay away from this place. Came in for lunch and ordered the Friday special. I was told they were out of rice and were making more. 30 minutes later still no food. Asked for a refund and the lady gave me money back for only the food and still charged me for a drink. I always get the lemon grass beef because I know I like it. I am trying to try more of their menu though so today I got the hot and spicy soup also. I am used to hot and sour soup so was kinda expecting that. This was very different but really good. It was loaded with tender beef slices and also had noodles. I was happy there's Pho to eat in Sierra Vista. Pho taste good as well. You walk up to the counter to order, but a server will bring out the food for you. I ordered one of the noted selections-Only to find out in VERY FAINT yellow whiteboard marker. The selection was on a different day. I find this very misleading. I'm disappointed. The signboard needs to be clearer. Use a different colored marker than yellow. I mentioned that. The response was a shoulder shrug. I may be making a different selection for my dinning. We ordered two beef pho and fresh shrimp rolls. The broth of the pho was tasty -- a bit salty -- but had a rich flavor. The portion of the meat was quite generous and the noodles was proportionate to the ingredients. However, the dish was missing some fresh basil leaves as garnish. The fresh shrimp roll was refreshing with light chili sauce to dip in. The price was steep for two rolls at $9.95, however the atmosphere was serene and clean. The server/owner was really friendly, attentive, and well-dressed. I wish I could say the same for the cook though who was going in and out of the kitchen. He was wearing cargo shorts, t-shirt, and backwards baseball cap - in my opinion, just did not blend in with their semi-fancy establishment. Small little Vietnamese restaurant right off Fry Blvd. Easy to miss because it is so small. Once inside, you will find a very nice restaurant. The food is truly amazing. Best Asian food I have ever had. Service from the two young cashier servers was also amazing. I was excited to see they had "Vietnamese Crispy Crepe" (Banh Xeo) on the menu! It's not often I find a Vietnamese restaurant that actually serves it. On the plus side, the ingredients are very fresh. I was a bit disappointed it wasn't served with any mint, basil or cilantro because it took away from the complete flavor profile. I ended adding a lot of salt, pepper, chili paste and dipping sauce. It was also a bit heavy on the bean sprouts, but next time I'll just ask them to put in a little less. How can this place go from great to chaotic in one week? We went there to eat last week. Great service, good food and the order taker was attentive and got us everything we needed. So....we decide to go back again....NOPE! Different people working, we ordered to go, place was busy and the wait staff did not know what food went to which table. We waited 45 minutes for our food while people walked in 20 minutes after us and were served. There was a woman running around asking what people ordered because everything was mixed up. We ordered Pad Thai, asked for peanuts and peanut sauce. Got home and there were no peanuts and half a container of sauce for two dinners.
