    Curry Chicken patty

Ordered a Curry chicken patty for lunch. Decent size and comes with a hot sauce. Warm with delicious curry chicken spilling out once you break it in half. Shareable if you're not super hungry. A great place to get a patty, get some sun, people watch.

Came here for lunch with some girlfriends. It is a outdoor kiosk that you order at the window and pickup when they call your name. There are about 4 tables that seat 2 that are covered/ sheltered and another 4 tables on the sidewalk. We all got the jerk chicken plate at it was so delicious! It came with a drum and thigh over rice and beans, side salad and plantain bananas. All of us enjoyed it and couldn't even finish the plate but I'm sure my husband could have finished it off. It was just the right amount of spicy coming from someone who is spicy sensitive which I'm sure spice lovers would say not spicy but flavorful. Parking was easy if you park at ProPark across the street, about 2 blocks away. Bring your ticket and ask for a validation sticker to make the visit more affordable

Amazing spot for jerk chicken! The meal plate comes with plantains, rice and beans, salad. The chicken thigh and drumstick is juicy and the jerk seasoning has a nice kick. Love the natural sweetness of the plantains and the side salad had a good vinaigrette. A very filling meal!

So many choices at the Farmers market so it's hard to know which to try. I decided to stop here since there was no line and the reviews looked good. I opted for the chicken curry empanada. It had a little heat to it and was filled with stuffing. I was pleasantly surprised. The shell was slightly different then others I had but I'm glad I tried it. Worth a try!

This place has been on my spot for a while and I was finally in the area for a concert, so I stopped by here and tried the beef patty and chicken curry patty. Pastry is flaky, buttery, beautifully colored. My friend and I agreed that the chicken patty is more flavorful than the beef patty. If you are sensitive to heat like me, then you may find these spicy. Nonetheless, these were delicious and the size are well worth their price. Also, congrats as I saw the Peaches Patties stand at Outside Lands!

First time eating here. I had the beef patty and the hibiscus drink. The patty was very moist, hot and fresh. They cook it when you order i believe. Service was fast and staff was friendly. I'll definitely buy a plate next time I'm in the area. They have a patio you can enjoy your food and its right in front of the Embarcadero ferry building. Its about a mile or so away from pier 39.

I had never had Jamaican food and the patties are so yummy! We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and people watched while we had our patties. Definitely returning to try out more food items!

I've always visited this location in person. I've only tried the vegetarian options and they were delicious. I've had both the spinach and mushroom patties. My friend really liked the lentil patties and every time I've tried to order them they were sold out after 4 pm so go early if you want those! The patties are great when they're warmed up, they're full of flavor. Highly recommend this place if you want a filling and tasty quick meal

Best patty I had outside of Jamaica! I loved the spinach one. My partner said the curry beef one was better then any he has ever had! We got them from the cart at Carnival so cannot speak to service or ambiance.

Finally got to try Peaches Patties! I've heard so many good things about their food and it's all true. I'm currently dog sitting so it was great that this place is outside the Ferry Building. It's a small outdoor space, with an about 6 tables and three bar tables for standing. I got their patty meal, which is one patty of your choose, rice/beans, plantains, and sautéed veggies. It was the perfect lunch! I chose the curry chicken patty that was literally straight from the oven. I waited 10mins for it (there's usually patties ready but unsurprisingly it was probably the more popular patties). It was worth the wait! The patty had a thin, flaky crust. The curry chicken was packed with flavor! The level of spice was perfect - definitely present but not overpowering. And the minced chicken was moist. The rice and beans had a gentle coconut flavor. The sautéed veggies were delicious! They balanced the flavorful chicken well without being bland. And they were tender so they still had a good bite to them. I love plantains, and their sweetness also added balance to the curry chicken. I definitely want to come back and try more patties!

As a Haitian food connoisseur I went to visit this restaurant not once but twice so I can give it a…read morefair shot and review. I initially didn't expect much since every Haitian restaurant on the west coast seems to flop pretty bad except for the one in Moreno Valley, CA. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Things to consider about Haitian food. Oxtails and anything jerked (jerk chicken) are NOT typical Haitian dishes. Leave those to the Jamaicans that's their specialty. I would NOT order that at a Haitian restaurant. If you order these we know you don't know anything about that culture. Now that we got this out of way. I've ordered the legume (stewed veg with no meat), fritay griot (fried pork shoulder) akra, fried green plantain, kremas, pikliz to go. Pros: Located in a vibrant part of Oakland this restaurant is very cleaned and spacious with arts displayed throughout showcasing the Haitian culture and spirt. There's even a huge outdoor seating. The service was fast and I am not talking by islands standards. Before i can blink was food was in front of me. To my surprise, I really enjoyed my food and ordered some to go. I thought to myself maybe I was really hungry hence the reason it tasted so good. So I went back a 2nd time the very next day, you could tell the food is made fresh because they don't have the same thing on the menu. Oh boy was I surprised again about how delicious the food was. Subsequently, I am giving this restaurant a 5 Cons: There's only street parkings which can be hard to find and it's not the restaurant's fault. I agree with some of the comments that the greeting might need some improvement. Then again this is a family owned business, where their young son is in charge of greeting & seating folks down. He may not have an inviting smile but he was not rude per se. Overall: I have travelled to over 65 countries there are certain things you can't except from people. Not every business is ran based on American expectations. This is a small family owned business with delicious & authentic Haitian dishes. What people want to know is "does the food taste good?" Yes or no. Also, while I was eating there I saw many Ubereats and/or Doordash couriers coming in and out, that might be an option for those who don't want to dine in. I would absolutely go back whenever I am in the Bay area. Lovely family and I wish them the best. I hope they open a restaurant here in Los Angeles.

I opted for the side of tostones because I was craving the crunchy plantain. It was crisp perfection! Lulu's Famous Pastelillo filled with vegan beef or chicken was another winner for me. The dough was fried perfectly and I loved the chicken filling flavor. Chef's kiss. Coquito cake is on the menu! If you love eggnog, get this right now. I want to return for the sampler plate. The restaurant has an upstairs as well. Our server was very nice and pleasant to speak with. Gave us some recommendations on the menu as well as drinks. We started with a cocktail and a glass of red wine. For our appetizer we had the Pulpo, coliflor and Hueso Asado. The pulpo which is octopus was nice and tender. Really delicious. The coliflor was okay. It was a little dense for me. The Hueso Asado was scrumptious, buttery and full of flavor, but half of a bone marrow was too small for an appetizer and only served with 4 small thin crostini. For entree we had the Ojo de Bife and Malbec short ribs. The Ojo de Bife which is the rib eye was delicious and grilled perfectly. The meat was not as tender, but the meat itself had a lot of flavor. The short ribs were excellent! Very tender and scrumptious. I would order this again. They should bring back the beef tongue or Lengua. I heard it is a must try. Anyway, we had a great time. It was a great atmosphere and love the vibe on this place. Would definitely come back!
