The roads leading to bucolic Peacham are worth the drive alone, only to find yourselves at this delightful cafe. Make it a destination stop, whether on your bike, out exploring in your vehicle, or if you are a local in search of hearty, rustic fare in a special place. This is a beautifully restored building with ample interior and exterior seating. It is very dog friendly. Lady Bug was given a homemade treat by the owner, which she gobbled down with relish. There are choices for breakfast and lunch, and we ate there at lunch. The mouth-watering breakfast offerings - blueberry pancakes and custom breakfast sandwiches - will necessitate another visit for another time. While I was craving the curry chicken salad after ordering it off of the specials chalk board, it wasn't available and I was offered the pesto chicken instead. It turned out not to be a favorite of mine, and the rough-cut chicken had gristle and big pieces of skin mixed in. I would have preferred it more shredded. It needed something else to elevate the flavors and add complexity. Halved cherry tomatoes? Maybe a dash of toasted slivered almonds? A little tweaking on this seasonal standard would elevate it into something truly special. A bevy of hot and cold beverages, and a glass case of home-made sweets provide something for everyone. We settled on baked "French toast" cake that we brought home and enjoyed, per recommendation, with fresh strawberries, syrup, and cream. We found the cafe while on our way to Canada for a day trip. I read about it in Yankee Magazine and wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. The gentleman working there was the greeter, cook and waiter. He was very friendly. The food was delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes and my son had the breakfast burrito. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. I strongly recommend this establishment. read more

Great food nice people. My wife and I went searching for coffee while camping. Camping was a rain out, but coffee and breakfast were not! Had the breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese, very good and wife had veggie quiche equally excellent. Our Americano and Chai hit the spot. If back in area, will come again. read more

Was looking forward to lunch in a fresh space, as our usual haunts were closed or further away. The cafe is a quaint little space, very bright and cheerful inside. The lunch special was a Reuben panini... Only a Reuben panini, with no side of any kind. While the iced tea the may have been fresh brewed, the lemonade was out of a carton... For two drinks and two "specials", I would have expected a little more as our bill was over $20. The menu overall was extremely streamlined, lacking in variety. Staff was pleasant and cafe was cute and clean, but we will not be going back. read more

Peacham Cafe is wonderful! Cute interior with outdoor, downstairs, and upstairs seating options. Friendly and fast customer service and a yummy breakfast. I had the Firehouse Toast (eggs and avocado on ciabatta bread with siracha and tomato) and a chai latte, The WiFi is also very fast (especially great because Peacham has terrible reception). Quite a find in one of the most picturesque villages in Vermont. We had croissant breakfast sandwiches with applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, and Swiss cheese. Delicious. We eyed the tasty looking quiche of the day but had to pass. We're coffee snobs and our lattes were good, but not great (but probably best available for at least 25 miles). The cafe itself is quaint and colonial both inside and out. And Peacham is incredibly quaint. You won't regret a stop at the village or this cafe! read more

Well my husband and I were driving by the café and it looked welcoming....BUT it really wasn't! The staff was horrible and unfriendly. I ordered a turkey sandwich and my bread was MOLDY!! My husband ordered a roast beef and he said it was ok. There was rat dropping in the bathroom. Not a pretty sight. I WILL never go back and I will tell my friends not to waist their money. read more

A little cafe in the heart of a glorious Vermont village - despite it being after closing time they allowed us in and made us the most delicious toasted sandwich - we even tried to insist that they at least not heat the sandwich as everything had been turned off, bit no, they wouldn't hear of it. Amazing place! Drive through the idyllic Vermont countryside to arrive at this quaint little cafe nestled in Peacham village. This cafe is pretty new. It is small inside but super cosy and roomy despite the small size. Plenty of seating options- regular tables, or you can sit counter style looking out the windows which is what we did. The cafe is decorated with lots of hard wood as well as incredibly beautiful paintings by a local artist. The staff here are wonderful- hardworking and friendly. The menu seems to change a little bit each day depending on what is fresh and available. The coffee is out of this world- unfortunately the name escapes me now, but you have a choice of dark, medium, or decaf roasts. I love how you can serve the coffee yourself as well as the water (in cute little mason jars). They make smoothies, special coffee drinks, freshly baked goods, and awesome breakfasts and lunches. Today we had French toast with wild berry jam, hand rolled bagels with cream cheese and berry preserves, and a big plate of yogurt with maple granola. It was all delicious and so satisfying. They also sell my favorite orange juice here- Natalie's. We bought a few of those as well. We felt so comfortable and relaxed here, everyone was friendly. The prices are awesome too. We ordered so much (cookies and extra coffees to boot) and it only came to 20 dollars all together (I so regret my diner trip the night before- 34 dollars for greasy food!) which is very reasonable considering the quality. Overall, I cannot wait to visit this cafe again and perhaps try lunch next time. What a find! read more

Was really looking forward to the new cafe and store. Very beautiful town and nice rehabbed store. But the staff is not very welcoming and the fresh baked goods are so so. Very small selection of both the baked goods and local foods which are located in one small refrigerated case. Expected much more. Needs better management. This is a really cute cafe in the heart of an idyllic Vermont village. The menu is limited and yes, the cafe is small, but the cafe setting is perfect and the staff is friendly, and the ambience is special. You don't come to a place like this and expect 30 different menu items. Just having a quaint cafe in Peacham, VT is special. I have been here a few times and the coffee is always great and I have found the quiche, turkey chowder, and side salads are very good. My only critique is that the food could have been heated up warmer but I also didn't fuss about it. As someone who has lived many years in this immediate area, and seen many coffee shops come and go, I hope this place is here a while. This place is great for locals and tourists. read more
