I wasn't sure which provider to choose when I suddenly had to find these services. I chose this provider because of the other reviews here, which stated how quickly they were available to see their animal. I called right when they opened, and the phone was immediately answered by a caring professional. There was a short discussion about the weight and breed of my dog, and what the aftercare options were. Price was discussed and agreed upon based on my choices and the animal size. This is such a great service for the larger dogs who are difficult to transport. I was told that we could be seen in 1-1/2/2 hours. (Faster than I wanted, really). Finances were professionally handled while the doctor tended to my boy. I am pleased with the caring services received during a very difficult time. I will certainly recommend.

Petunia RIP 11/2020

Where do I even start in describing the caring supportive services we received from Dr. Brett and Michelle. We called on a Friday AM as our beloved dog Petunia had declined pretty fast to see if they could come out the same day and help us get Petunia over the Rainbow Bridge. Without hesitation, Michelle scheduled us for a few hours later after taking some information down. When they arrived, it was clear by their energy that they were not just stellar human beings, but were caring people that wanted to help families and their pets. They took the time to explain things and give Petunia some love, never once coming off as judgmental that both my husband and I were in tears. Our younger pup Violet was present and they were wonderful with her since she was bouncing all over the place. Once the process was over, they brought in this little stretcher and put a bone/heart blanket over our precious girl and carried her out to their vehicle. The process is nice because they take your pet to be cremated and give you details on when to expect the remains back if that is what you choose. These two people and the service they provide are wonderful. I can't imagine for one minute not having them help us this last Friday and am grateful for the other reviews here that helped me hone in on Peaceful Pet.

Happy Yoda I'm healthier times..

We can't say enough about Dr Brett Hinsch and Michelle. You couldn't ask for more compassionate, kind and caring people to help during such a heart wrenching time. They stayed with us through the entire process and took the remains of our fur baby Yoda away with such loving care. After he was gone they wrapped him in a blanket covered with paw prints and hearts, and placed him on a stretcher for transportation to the crematorium. We will forever miss our "death row pound puppy" Yoda, who brought such joy into our lives for nearly 14 years, and we will always remember the kindness and gentleness shown by these wonderful people. Saying "thank you" just isn't enough

Crosby Gebhart-The most Loving, generous, gentle, "old soul" I've ever loved! His love was unconditional!!!

He's now long retired and we needed someone to look at our cat. The once great place is great no more. There are signs all over the office warming you of penalty fees. Actually, you get your first warnings through texts reminding you of your appointment. I showed up, waited a long time, and the vet was professional. Annoyingly, though, my next visit started with a check-in during which they told me I was there for "x" operation and when I corrected them, they said, "Oops, that's right." Always a concern on operation day! The surgery was very expensive. After dropping off kitty I got a call trying to upsell me on a more complicated surgery and I stood firm. One week later I get a call. "unfortunately he has cancer." Well, my cat is female. Could the vet at least get that right? Before hanging up, it would have been nice to get an iota of sympathy, too. Dr. Shorr certainly would have said kind words. In a nutshell, I find this clinic very corporate now, impersonal despite the perky hello when you come through the door. It's probably a good place for people who have endless money and don't mind the cool treatment. I'll never go back.

We had been going to Dr Boyer for years and she was great, Dr. Mychajlonk is the direct opposite. I had not had a reason to visit Speedway Veterinary until last June when I was concerned about my dog. I called to set up an appointment and was told the best that could be done was to drop my dog off at 7:30 in the morning and Dr. Mychajlonk would exam him when she could and give me a call. Since I was concerned about Hugger (my dog) I agreed. I had not met Dr. Mychajlonk so I didn't know what to expect. When I brought Hugger in, I was presented with a bill of just under $1,000 that I was asked to approve (Dr. Mychajlonk had never seen Hugger before and at this point still hadn't) I declined but then the staff told me to leave Hugger anyway and the doctor would examine him and call me. I agreed to do that. When the doctor called there was a bad connection and I couldn't understand what the doctor was saying. When I told the doctor that she said that if I would pick up Hugger at 3 that afternoon she would talk with me then. When I showed up at 3 the nurse, not Dr. Mychajlonk met me and I was told that Hugger needed more tests and the cost would still be the figure I was given that morning. I've had animals for most of my life, I'm 85, and this is the first time I've ever had a vet give me a diagnosis for a pet BEFORE ever seeing the animal and have the exact same diagnosis after the exam. Final warning...look at the review's and you'll see that the vast majority are when Dr Boyer had the practice. Consider yourself warned.

I've had two very different experiences here. My initial…read moreexperience was great, however it was a few years ago. A different veterinary Dr. Recently, my senior dog had a bit of a health emergency. The young vet was brazenly arrogant, and my entire body felt anxious when dealing with her. She made a threat to report me and have him taken from me if I did not vaccinate him, prior to first checking to make sure he was ok. It was maddening. His immune system was already taxed and he's been rapidly going down hill since. She actually refused to give me any vaccine information and I believe in my soul she actually misled me to the type of vaccine he received. He nearly died a few days later. He was not a candidate. He needed care and attention, and instead was received coldly and cruelly. It was an absolutely disconnected and strange experience. It left my friend and I horrified. This place is a money hustle and their new young vet lacked kindness and empathy. It was a dark experience. We have since found a lovely vet to assist with his recovery, who is cordial and kind... and most of all puts us all at ease. Encanto, you may want to make sure your Vets actually like animals or can at least pretend to care about each animal without bias or judgement: I'd give this place a 0 for medical care, however, the front desk staff has always been kind and accommodating. Suggestion: perhaps don't make threats to a loving pet owner with a senior dog they love with their whole soul, in a crisis. Just start there. Integrity, transparency and decency go a long way in life and business.
