Dr. Miller put my old dog, Red, to sleep today. Red was a good dog all her life. Never got in trouble. Well, almost never. But she was in pain and getting weaker by the day. Finally she couldn't stand up by herself and I knew it was time. Dr. Miller was professional but also kind and caring. She talked me through the procedure. She's very good at this. Red didn't even notice the sedation shot. She was asleep in just a few minutes. And she died quietly and peacefully. Run free, my Red. Find your friends, Sam and Genie. I will see you soon. Thank you, Dr. Maria. read more

We were referred to Dr Maria Miller for end of life care. Our 12 year old cat has cancer on her hip and her quality of life was good for 5 months until this past week. She was uncomfortable and pain meds helped but she was waning. Dr Maria set us up with an appointment quickly, explained every step of the way. She was professional while kind and empathetic. We were there the whole time and had time to be with Cookie and say bye bye. This was our first in home experience and with a cat it was the kindest and best way for all concerned. Highly suggest Maria Miller read more

Dr. Miller was great and I was lucky to reach her on the day that we had to say goodbye to our beloved Frida. She made a difficult day slightly easier thanks to her professionalism, kindness and compassion. She treated Frida with and dignity, spent time assessing Frida's needs and found a way to help us be at peace. I commited my time with Frida to care for her to the best of my ability and I think Dr. Miller's intervention helped me carry out my objective to the last day. read more

Dr. Miller is wonderful. She helped us say "see you later" to our 14 year old Chow, Augie. Her care, compassion and concern for everyone involved is off the charts. She kept us informed on each and everything going on and didn't rush or judge 4 human beings crying their eyes out. Gave us all the time we needed to say what we needed to and was respectful throughout the entire process. No pet owner wants too go through this, but when the time comes, and you need to make a tough decision, do not hesitate to seek Dr. Maria Miller! D. Miller is an amazing person who does a great service for the animal community. I have been involved in working dogs since 1996 and I recently had to put down my partner and detection canine LEO. Dr. Miller was very professional and had empathy for myself and my wife and we couldn't have asked for a more peaceful passing for LEO. As my heart aches for the loss of LEO I am grateful beyond words for Dr. Miller. read more

One of the most difficult days in my life was when I had to say good bye to my beautiful baby boy. Dr M was amazingly kind and gentle with my boy while he flew with the angels and while our good bay was very sad, her calm steady manner made it less so. Dr. Miller was not wonderful, nor even respectful, when i called to discuss about at home end of life, for our family pet of 20 years. To be honest, Dr. Miller told me she on vacation for 2 weeks, and maybe she would not be the right person to talk to. Didn't even let me have chance to discuss anything. If your vacation is that important perhaps don't answer or have a on vacation forwarding message, like other professional have. Perhaps she thought maybe I wasn't the right persuasion. Pathetic.... read more

Dr. Miller is caring and compassionate. We couldn't be more pleased with her service and her help.

Dr. Miller was referred to me by a friend who is very active in local dog rescue groups and I was not disappointed. My beautiful 12 year old Dalmatian was near the end of her life and I wanted her to pass at home. Dr. Miller came to our house and genuinely took her time helping my husband and I through this difficult situation. She was patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I never felt rushed or pressured into making this end of life decision for my dog. When we did realize it was time for Sprinkle to leave us Dr. Miller made us feel supported in our decision. I will be mourning the loss of my baby for quite awhile, however Dr. Miller made a devastating situation much easier. I have two other senior dogs and there is no one else I will trust with their end of life care. Thank you so much! read more

My sister had a cat dying of cancer a little over a year ago, and now owns a couple once-feral cats that are quite a handful. Dr. Miller was extraordinarily helpful then and now. Our family wants to thank Dr. Miller for being both a kind, compassionate person and great pet doctor, even to very upset strangers whose own vets repeatedly dropped the ball. When you came to help Cassie leave peacefully, sis knew she had contacted the purrfect person to guide both her and her dying cat out of their discomfort with in-home euthanasia. Dr. Miller's patience and gentleness prevailed, and she calmly gains and keeps control in any situation. Recently sis had some challenges with her current two kitties, but no other mobile vet would help. However, Dr. Miller recently re-established herself as a mobile vet, and she was there for sis and the new cats, once again allaying all worries and concerns. Sis is sorry Dr. Miller had to work so hard extricating Shadow from under the sink, but glad she could do it. Sis appreciates all the services Dr. Miller performed for both cats in one visit . . . Dr. Miller is truly awesome and one in a million! Thank you for all that you do for Tucson pets and their parents; you rock! read more

I cannot tell you how grateful I am that Dr. Maria left her family at 7pm to come euthenize my sweet baby after she had declined markedly all day. Maria was kind and compassionate and extremely good about explaining the process and her philosophy as she went. Once Izzy was sedated, she gave us time to hold and grieve and be thankful she was no longer suffering before she was euthanized. It was comfortable and painless and Izzy was able to find peace in her own bed. She then waited in her car so that my husband and I could have a private moment to say goodbye. When my heart heals a little and the next dog picks me, Dr. Maria will be the very first person I call. read more

We recently used the services of Dr. Miller to help our wonderful Dalmatian, Gemma, to cross over the Rainbow Bridge, and cannot recommend her highly enough. She returned our call quickly, and set up an appointment to come to our house. I found her to be the right combination of compassionate about our loss, but also comforting that as a medical person she was handling the situation very professionally. What a relief to my wife and I, and to our other Dal to help Gemma like this in her final time. It would have been even harder to load her into the car and drive her to the Vet, and then to take her to an exam room. Instead we were all together around her favorite bed, and she first went to sleep, and then took a final breath. It was hard, but this made it much easier and more personal. Dr. Miller's followup with Gemma's remains and her paw print impression were exactly as she described. If you are faced with this difficult decision, Dr. Miller can make it easier. I was referred to Dr. Miller by 2 separate friends and neighbors as my 13+ yr old Golden Retriever was failing and I knew I needed to reach out for help. I called Dr. Miller, who I had never met, and she called me within just a couple of hours and talked to me for quite a while. When it was 'time' she came out and met us for the first time with the kindest heart. I felt completely confident in her knowledge and her compassion was more than I could have asked for. She helped my beloved boy cross the Bridge with kindness and comfort. I cannot thank her enough and I would recommend her highly to anyone in this difficult situation when you are faced with this heart wrenching decision. Thank you Dr. Miller. read more

I will never bring my dog to a brick and mortar vet to pass again. She came to our house, reassured me that it was time for our 18 year old jack Russell... and then we said goodbye as he sat on my lap and let me scratch his ears. A great ending for a great dog. read more

Dr. Miller was great and made the process of saying goodbye so much easier than dragging my kitty to the vet. I contacted Dr. Maria Miller when my elderly, ailing cat took a precipitous turn for the worse 3 weekends ago. Dr. Miller replied promptly and was able to fit an at-home euthanasia for my cat into her schedule. She arrived on time but did not rush the process. She was thoughtful, gentle, and down-to-earth. Dr. Miller really is as good as it gets, she is top notch! Not only is she compassionate but she is an excellent vet as well. I can't say enough about the house call service she provides. We have four dogs and a cat and having our vet come to us saves us/them a lot of stress. Everyone knows the feeling of rounding them up and taking them to an office where they are usually very nervous and overwhelmed. I highly recommend Dr. Miller. We used Dr Miller last week to put our 13 year old Aussie down after a short battle with colon cancer.
