Parking: The Pre-Meal Adventure First things first--parking is a sport here. I mean, it's near the water, so of course there is limited space. It took me a solid half hour to park. By the time I walked in, I felt like I had already burned off dessert. Service with Space The service was chill and patient--no pressure, no hovering. I was offered suggestions, politely declined, and eventually made up my mind like the independent vegan foodie I pretend to be. Food Chronicles I dove into the Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla with walnut meat. Now, let me confess: this was my first time eating walnut meat, it was an interesting experience... a little sweeter than my taste buds were emotionally prepared for, but hey--growth! I'll have to try it without the walnut meat next time. The real showstopper..The kale chips. I'm pretty sure they were kale chips, but honestly they tasted like crispy little blessings from above. Heaven-sent. Then came the Loving Lasagna, and WOW. Extremely good. The sauces were divine, like they'd been whisked by angels with excellent seasoning skills. I absolutely recommend it--10/10, would eat again and again.
Peace Pies is hands down the best place for raw food. I had the Carnitas Burrito and Bruschetta as an appetizer -- both were fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. We sat outside and the weather was perfect, which made the experience even better. A must-visit if you're into raw, plant-based meals!

My husband and I drove all the way from LA just to try Peace Pies, and let me tell you it was worth every mile. The meal we had here is one that we simply will not forget because it was so dang delicious. It is heartbreaking that it is so far away because I would be frequenting here every week if I could, but I surely will come back. We came in late Sunday afternoon, and the store was very calm and peaceful with just a couple of other patrons. There was just one individual at the counter when we arrived who was very kind and took our order. My husband ordered the Majestic Mediterranean Wrap and I had the Buffalo Falafel Wrap. Both wraps were so fresh and bursting with flavor and came with a side of kale chips that are out of this world. You can tell that all of the ingredients and produce used are high quality. The colors of the ingredients are also gorgeous. The portion sizes are generous, but the taste is so good that we both easily finished our wraps. After this, we ordered a chocolate mylkshake and a Samoa for dessert. Both were absolutely divine. We were so blown away by everything that we had that we ordered another wrap (magical mango curry wrap) and took a case of kale chips home. The magical mango was our least favorite out of the three wraps, but it was still really good. The food at Peace Pies is deeply nourishing, which is a rarity with modern day food. Your body will truly thank you for eating Peace Pies. I am so sad I cannot have it every day.
I ordered Thanksgiving meals ahead of time and to my surprise got way more than I was expecting. It was so gourmet! The service was great! They had it all ready when I got there. The place is beautiful & clean. Everyone loved the food. Thank you peace pies our two hour trip to get there was worth it!

What an absolute gem. If I lived nearby, I'd ask the staff to hurry up and give me a nickname because I'd be a regular like clockwork. Alas, I don't live nearby. A stellar stop should you find yourself driving between Los Angeles and San Diego, or thereabouts. Like I did. If you do live close, lucky you. Newly introduced, I didn't know where to start. I asked about fan favorites and was directed to the mushroom quesadilla. "Everyone on Yelp loves it." Well goddamn. Feel free to include me on the "everyone" list. A tough task, creating a raw quesadilla that can stand up to its traditional, melty cousin. But stand up it does. My wife isn't big on mushrooms, but she was eyeing my half like I was going to have to fight for it. The faux-tuna wrap was spot on. A lot of greens and sprouts, extremely fresh, a crunch factor with a dressing that tied it all together like Lebowski's rug. And the kelp salad was blessed with just the right amount of olives to keep it fun. I used to be disinterested in raw spots. I found the flavors too consistent across the menu, too many dried seed everythings. Too bland, too much not enough. Undoubtedly healthy, but the taste buds want what the taste buds want. Peace Pies took the healthiness, kept that core of the raw lifestyle, and turned up all the rest. What an uplifting spot to hang. Probably a mile or less off the ocean, it's got that sleepy town attitude where fog chills the quiet air outside, and you get to kick back and recharge. They've got big, beautiful plants, a gorgeous passionfruit vine mural, and a deck outside to enjoy the bites and the breeze. I'm a fan of the color palette. Nice decor without going overboard or out of bounds, pillows to lean on, sunlight popping through to hit all the right spots. As far as I can tell, everything is made in-house. Even the coconut tortillas, which they sell separately if you want to get fancy at home. I'm a little sad I didn't try the walnut meat, or the durian smoothy. Durian? In smoothies? Normally worth a chuckle, but I bet Peace Pies handles it with care. The staff were cool folks, there to spread friendliness and care through soul-nourishing food and a place to unplug. Good food and a table to enjoy it are the ultimate display of welcome. I wish we could've stayed longer. A shame, when the daily grind drags us back when the heart wants to stay put. I would've lounged an hour or two on the patio. Maybe sipped a tea and tried one of those sweets in the cooler that couldn't stop looking at me. Closed my eyes, breathed deeply, and noshed 'til I could nosh no more. There's always next time... Well, at least I hope there is. Next time, it will have to be.
Celebrated my birthday at one of my favorite vegan spots--Peace Pies! This place truly delivers real food made with love. The newly renovated space is absolutely magical and welcoming! It's got a modern touch with a cute, cozy vibe. We arrived for lunch and were lucky to snag a lovely indoor spot. The interior is open and bright, with dessert displays that made me want to try everything! Some standout menu items: Chips and guac app- beautifully plated and a healthy starter! Magical Mango Curry Wrap (my all-time favorite) - Avocado, mango, and mixed veggies all wrapped in a coconut tortilla, served with coconut curry sauce. It's super filling, packed with fresh veggies. Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla - A red bell tortilla stuffed with cheez, 'sautéed' mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and greens, served with guacamole. This is a close second for me--can't resist anything with mushrooms! Also, a special shoutout to their kale chips, which are hands down the best in town. I don't even mind getting kale stuck in my teeth, they're that good. LOL! To top it off, I had their refreshing sugarcane juice--my go-to whenever I see it on the menu! Even my non-vegan friends loved their meals and couldn't believe everything was raw vegan. I always love seeing people's reactions when they try this place for the first time, and it's always positive! Healthy, cruelty-free food that's both delicious and satisfying--Peace Pies does it right! To make the day even sweeter, they surprised me with a chocolate dessert when they found out it was my birthday. It was the perfect way to end my birthday lunch! Thank you, Peace Pies, for always serving up amazing food and service. I could eat here every day!
This is one of the best places to eat hands down! Incredible food and atmosphere. The quesadillas is the best and is so filling. Can't wait to try everything on the menu. The horchata smoothie is also amazing.
Their patio is sooooo cute!! Everything here is so fresh, natural and delicious!! The employees are always so sweet and give great recommendations. They're also really cool about accommodations. One of my favorite new findings in Leucadia
Absolutely the best place to eat if you want to feel good about what you put in your body, not to mention supporting a local business. Every item is served with loving care. My favorites are the chocolate shake, caeser wrap, caeser salad, buffalo falafel wrap and the Twix bar.

First time visiting and 100% will be back!! The food was GREAT!! We ordered the street tacos, a nori nirvana, and a caesar wrap, along with some desserts and buffalo kale chips. For desserts, we ordered the homemade twix bar and rocky road cupcake. Didn't get photos of everything, but everything was DELICIOUS!! The rocky road cupcake was the only thing that got mixed reviews. The rest of the food was top notch! The employees were also extremely kind. As for the restaurant iteself, it's hidden in a corner so it's a bit hard to find, but worth it. The restaurant is gorgeous and has such relaxed vibe. The food is absolutely magical-fresh, scrumptious, healthy and artfully crafted. The new Encinitas location is gorgeous and we love the new deck, The staff are the best! Super friendly,kind and helpful. I would eat here everyday if I lived in the area but we make sure we eat here several times every time we're in SoCal. Absolutely yummy!! Charming place to sit outside, enjoy some sun and have a delicious vegan lunch. The Luna Tuna Wrap is my favorite...Bliss Burger is also a good choice. Don't forget to pick up extra Pizza flavored Kale chips to snack on for later. read more

My family has been coming to Peace Pies for at least 15 years, there's no where in the world that makes/crafts such unique and real dishes. The staff is always so helpful, this was our first time to the new location and was amazed on how we instantly felt that same vibe that you only get at Peace Pies!! I don't know how they do it, the ingredients and the quality of this food is unbelievable!!! read more
I am NOT vegan, but I really love this place. Funny thing... you know how some people 'detox' after poor dietary choices with a 3-Day Juice Cleanse? My idea of a reset is going zero-carb/ full carnivore for three days. :) That said, my preferred eating plan is simply whole, real foods. If I eat vegan, it can't be processed, Beyond/Impossible anything crap. Give me the synergistic benefits from the enzymes, nutrients and vitamins in all the colorful dehydrated plants instead. On my recent visit, I was over the moon happy to learn Peace Pies has a recipe book out. It has the whole restaurant menu, plus the specials and more. The book is reasonably priced at 25$. I often spend that much on a single meal including dessert here anyway(I mean, with 'pie' in their name, how can I resist?!). Overall, while I look forward to trying recipes from my new book, I will continue to visit for "field research" as needed. I have a feeling it's going to take me awhile to perfect my coconut wrap-making skills at home. read more

Over the years I've eaten at several raw vegan places. Peace Pies is THE best casual raw vegan food I've had yet in the Nation. Favorites are the Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla and Magical Mango Curry Wrap. You also must give any Special they have on their chalk board a try, I've never not liked one of their Specials. We regularly order their Thanksgiving meal and supplement that with a cooked vegan meal. Occasionally they offer brunch and if you get a chance to try that, it's one of our favorite meals at Peace Pies. If I've eaten vegan junk and my digestive system needs a break, the first place I head is to Peach Pies. I haven't tried the OB location yet, but it's on my list! read more

We tried Peace Pies for the first time today, and were glad we did. The staff were very friendly and attentive, explaining the specials and giving us time to decide on our order. We don't usually eat raw food, but everything we ordered (the Bliss Burger, two wraps, and the Loving Lasagna) was fresh and flavorful. It was nice to have the option to eat indoors or outdoors, and the entire restaurant (including the restroom) was very clean and inviting. We'll be returning to try more of their menu. read more

My smallest tiniest little friend that has the purest diet I have ever known to man dragged my precious body to try this amazing raw wrap. She would not stop obsessing that I had to try it. It is like eating a rainbow exploding with so many flavors. Now, I eat meat! Oh yes, I do but this is really fulfilling. Really relaxing atmosphere and if you are cruising into San Diego, this is a must on your bucket list. Really worth it! We are fans and to be return! read more

First time trying this vegan, organic, raw food restaurant - the menu is pretty extensive and there are lots of good options! A friend and I ordered two entrees to share - the Mystical Mushroom "Quesadilla" and "Tuna" Luna Wrap. Plates are about $14 each and are very generous portions. The Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla was amazing! Great flavor in the marinated raw mushrooms. Its healthy AND super tasty!! It's served with Guacamole and a few kale chips. I was less excited about the Tuna Luna wrap (also served with a few kale chips) - pretty good but not great. I'm excited to go back and try other menu selections. They have a good selection of raw desserts - cheesecake, pies and truffles. I didn't try any this time, but look forward to trying one next time. The staff is chill and friendly. In fact, I purchased a few desserts to take home with the intent to take one bite of each item before hitting the road. Emphasis on the words "ONE bite". The Strawberry Pie didn't even make it to the car. Whatever fruity-fresh flavor magic that was performed caused me to devour it in one sitting. I didn't even share this with the BF who sat there and watched me eat the whole thing! Apple Pie was pretty yummy too. I was surprised to see that it was thinly sliced apples layered on top of each other to make a thick slice. I am not vegan but my sister in law is trying to be. We met up with one of her friends here because she is vegan. The kale chips were delicious, would definitely re-order again. The horchata milkshake did not taste like a normal horchata, it tasted like a banana milkshake. Prices were very expensive but I assumed it would be since everything is organic and raw material. The service was not good. The cashier seemed like he mentally was checked out, probably super stoned or something haha. I waited for almost 20 mins for my milkshake until asking for my order to find out they forgot about it. It's a small business tucked away behind another business. I was told they have quite a few favorites on their menus. Don't think I'd try any of it, but I'll go back for kale chips. read more

Came here after a nice day of shopping. Parking was a little confusing as far as whether or not the relatively small parking lot was designating for Peace Pies or it's neighboring restaurant (we parked on the street). Anyhow, they have relatively small indoor and outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and patient while we decided what to order. Everything is 100% vegan and they pride themselves in creating raw vegan dishes. The location is a little hidden, off the main road and if you're not looking, you'll miss it! I ended up getting the Mediterranean wrap, filled with veggies and served with Kale chips. I enjoyed the wrap but my TMJ was acting up and the wrap was a little hard to chew. The Kale chips were my favorite. They were light, crispy and packed with so much flavor! I thoroughly enjoyed them. Hubby and I shared the tiramisu and it was delicious! Perfect and light! Hubby ordered the nori wrap and enjoyed his although he said it needed more avocado. Prices are on the steep side, considering the overall experience, I would expect to pay this much at Cafe Gratitude. We ordered 2 wraps, a bottle of water, a pastry, and a chocolate bar... $50 for all. However, it was definitely worth coming here and we will likely return... just not for a full meal but perhaps a snack or dessert! read more

What an amazing place. It's quiet, comfortable, and though the menu is small, it changes daily and the quality is to die for, and totally worth the price! The staff is extremely kind, and the atmosphere is extremely inviting. They even have outdoor seating with pillows and the whole shebang. The location is behind the Mozy Cafe; blink and you might miss it! I do intermittent fasting and have a largely paleo, low carb diet and this meal was just what the doctor ordered and I highly recommend this place to people with dietary restrictions. I will probably be back every time I spend the day at the local beach. I liked it that much! Note: this is a raw vegan joint, so be aware of this if that's not your thing read more
