Do not give these people a line of credit. They do not pay and they have several UCC's filed on their company.

They took the time to thoroughly clean the condenser and ran multiple tests on the attic unit to make sure everything was operating as it should. What really stood out was how they walked me through the entire process at the end, showing photos and explaining each step. It gave me a lot of confidence in their work and attention to detail. I'm very happy with this company and would highly recommend them.

My AC condensation pipe was completely backed up and needed to be flushed. Their tech arrived on time and seemed very professional, spending about an hour and a half working on the unit and inspecting everything inside and out. However, he couldn't find where the evaporator line exited the house. His solution? Install an external pump and run a whole new drain line. The rough estimate for that was, well, a hell of a lot more than the $15 fee they charged me just to come out and take a look. When he left, I still had the exact same broken AC, was stressing over an exorbitant bill to fix it, and somehow found out I'd been signed up for a $15-a-month service plan that entitled me to another check-up in six months just in time for winter. Hoping to just get it resolved, I reached out to Service Wizard via Yelp later that evening to see if they could come back today to do the work the tech recommended. I never got a response. Frustrated, I called a different AC company. They actually answered the phone, sent technicians out right on time today, and those guys spent **five minutes** at my house before finding the external line, repairing it, and flushing my system. Problem completely solved in under five minutes, and the fee was incredibly cheap compared to the massive quote I got from Service Wizard. I will definitely be canceling my $15-a-month contract with Service Wizard and won't be recommending them going forward. Save yourself the headache and call someone else!

Based on prior experience we called Brandon at Airco to come take a look. We left a key for them and they were out that day. They called w/options--new coils (a few year fix) or a whole new system. We opted for a new system. They had it installed and house cooled down when we returned on Saturday! We were also wanting to move our thermostat but wanted to talk through that. They came back on Monday to take care of moving the thermostat.

Several years ago, Airco installed a 3-ton variable-speed system in a house that had previously had a 2-ton unit (and a history of trouble keeping cool). After about a year of operation, our tenants reported mold in the ducts, high humidity, and a short-cycling unit. Our investigation found that the installer, Stuart, had never pulled a permit for the work. I want to be candid: it took a negative Yelp review to get Airco's attention. Jeremy reached out, recommended we upsize the ductwork, offered a very fair price, and agreed to close out the permits. I'm slow to trust, so I got second and third opinions from other HVAC companies -- they confirmed the system size was correct for the house, and that the ductwork should have been upsized at the original install. My own Manual J calculations agreed with Jeremy's. Notably, Jeremy was the only installer I could find who was actually willing to run a Manual J. He also followed through on pulling permits and getting the city inspection scheduled. Airco worked to schedule the new duct installation during the one week we'd be in town -- during peak season, no less -- and their crew moved fast and stayed professional, which I appreciated given how brutal a Texas attic is this time of year. A few days in, the system is no longer short-cycling, and indoor humidity has dropped to about 63%. Still a touch higher than ideal, but we think we can chase the rest of it down -- possibly window seals, possibly fan settings or duct leakage. I was impressed enough that I also used Airco for a plumbing call this week.

I was looking to replace my entire AC system which is why it's important to find the best in the business and rated the best. It's also important to find more than one 5* business so you can get a better picture and quotes for such an expensive endeavor which I found helpful. If you're going to go all the way with such an expense, it's best to educate yourself as much as possible, and there's lots of YouTube videos on AC repair and replacement which you should watch prior to making that decision. You really need to be an informed and educated customer or you might find yourself with an inferior or wrong system. I found that certain AC companies want the steer you to certain brands they represent, so you may wish to decide on a brand first. I found that the Carrier Infiniti system with its very high seer rating and variable speed was the perfect choice. More details on this system in the photos below. If you live in a two-story house like mine, you can expect the price to be much greater due to the fact that you have dampeners which will need to be fixed or replaced which greatly adds to the bill. As for my AC, it was over 20 years old, but still chugging along. However, I knew there was going to be new mandates in 2025 which would greatly add to the expense of AC replacement such as a new refrigerant which is slightly flammable called Puranovance. I replaced my old R22 compressor with the new R-410a which is still readily available, but will eventually be phased out many years from now. I also mistakenly thought you'd get a good deal by replacing it during the cool months, but apparently a lot of people were doing what I was doing so no break in the price. As a matter fact, the date of manufacture of my new Infiniti compressor was only just a couple weeks old before it was installed. After some back-and-forth on pricing, we finally decided on a date of installation. Carl and his crew showed up and had everything installed within six hours and hauled off the old units. We still needed some troubleshooting in order to dial-in the thermostats functioning properly, but everything works perfectly now and the temperature remains exactly as you set it throughout the house. Both the compressor and the blower motor are incredibly quiet. Since I knew I needed this replacement at some point, I had enough money in the bank to cut a check for the job. When you sign up for Carl's service, you get Carl in the equation. Check out the photos below which show you the equipment, specs and the pricing. Update: After 2 weeks the plenum did separate, but I was able to use foil tape to close up the 8" gap. Personally, I think a 30 day check up would be a good idea not just for Carl, but anyone who gets this kind of installation from whatever company you choose.

They are the best at what they do, have the correct tools, take proper precautions, and genuinely clean your ducts. We received before and after pictures--a night and day difference! We have also worked with Sean to help identify problem areas in our HVAC system. His knowledge of HVAC work (especially as it relates to IAQ) has been incredible. We had a Mold Assessment completed in our home, and it was recommended that we reach out to Sean for an HVAC assessment. Sean is professional, super knowledgeable, and spent a lot of time looking at our entire HVAC system, talked to my wife and me about his findings, and sent us a report with everything (photos, recommendations, reasons why things need to be done in a certain way, etc.). Also, he was extremely helpful in identifying who could help us complete any/all recommended work (Sean has helped train/worked with many HVAC companies in the area). We've implemented as many of Sean's recommendations as we could, and it has been a HUGE improvement. We have reduced the overall humidity in our home, replaced certain contaminated components in our HVAC system, reduced dust, and have better overall indoor air quality throughout our home. I don't think we'd buy another home without having Sean take a look at it first!

I first had a tech from a different company show up and the other company told me the problem is the compressor and that the entire thing needed to be replaced at a cost of about $15K. I was upset, needless to say. But then I found Radiant!! I called Radiant on a 5 or 6 PM Monday night and they were willing and able to do same-day service (eta between "now" and 10 PM). I actually had a bunch of errands to do so I didn't take them up on it but I so wish I called them a day earlier when the issue started... anyway, we scheduled a visit for next day between 8 AM to 11 AM. Radiant sent a tech named Wayland to my home and he arrived around 10:50 AM. By 11:30 AM, he had a diagnosis and it was a faulty wire and by 11:45 AM, the wire was replaced and I had AC again. They saved me tens of thousands of dollars and weeks of having to suffer through 95 degree weather. Also, Wayland was so respectful, kind, and had great energy. I had already called two other HVAC companies, but Radiant was the only one that could come out that evening, so I chose them. I was hoping the issue would be a simple repair, but I understood when the technician determined that both the blower motor and fan needed to be replaced. I asked if the repair could be completed the following day because I didn't want my children to go without air conditioning any longer than necessary. The technician told me he believed the required parts were available locally and that getting the repair done the next day shouldn't be a problem. The following day, I waited to hear back but eventually had to call twice before anyone could tell me what was happening. I was informed they were still waiting for the technician to write up the estimate. Around 3:00 p.m., I finally received the estimate, approved it immediately, and was told that dispatch would contact me to schedule the repair. After another hour passed without hearing anything, I contacted Radiant again to ask about scheduling. That is when I was informed that the necessary parts would not arrive until the following day. What I don't understand is why it took until late the next day to prepare the estimate and order the parts. Had the estimate been completed earlier, the parts could have been ordered much sooner. I've experienced this exact repair on another air conditioning unit in the past, and a different company completed the entire repair in a single day--and for roughly half the cost. Because of the delay, I may not even be available when Radiant is ready to schedule the repair. (Addition) I eventually had no choice but to use Radiant because I couldn't find anyone that was available. I had called around and found other AC companies that would do the work for $400-$500 off if I could wait a day or two, however I have an autistic daughter who was getting agitated by the heat. They did the service on Friday and 10 minutes after they leave, the tech calls me to say I need to pay immediately (I'm assuming because they don't like critical reviews). So the following Monday (today) I get an invoice and 30 minutes later a copy of that invoice saying it was past due. Very unprofessional company. Will not use again.
