Took it into Memory Express Calgary NW about 1 month ago. Was told it would take two weeks or more to get it back to me. I received a call from the technician working on my machine within one week. He related the problem to me over the phone and that he was in the process of repairing the damages. That was a Friday, by Monday I picked up my computer and brought it home. Total time I was without my computer was just over 1 week. I have been using it for approximately 3 weeks with out a problem. It boots up faster than before and there have been no more ugly blue screens of death. My cost was below what I was expecting to pay. I can't say enough good things about my interface with Memory Express regarding the repair of my computer.

Rhe next Saturday i called, and they said the wrong screen came in....im guessing they ordered the wrong screen, bu either way a call to update me would have been nice....so another week went by, and two to three days turned into two weeks, at which point i called them again, the following Saturday, and "ya that came in on Friday"....again no courtesy call. So i dripped my phone off, and was told it would be about an hour and a half maybe two hours, and theyd call me when it was done....three hours later, they were going to be closed soon, so i went back, and sure enough, it was done, and once again, no freakin courtesy call. These people do not give a crap about you, it is obvious. Two weeks later i was back due to the screen cover cracking right across the middle....ive had these things changed before elsewhere and it lasted the better part of two years....after that, it lasted another week and i just took it off, but thats the least of my concerns. Ever since they changed the screen, no one can hear me on speaker phone, and most times cant even hear me when not on speaker phone, on top of that, a few times a day, ill open the pho e, and the screen wont turn on, and sounds like im opening 100 year old book. These guys clearly dont take pride in what they do, they obviously dont care about customers, and it seems that they use very cheap products.....to say the absolute very least, im would not recommend them if you want anything done in reasonable time or quality, and dont expect a courtesy call for any thing at all. When we arrived at this location, the employee told us the model discussed on the phone was not the same TV we wanted, even though the other location had confirmed it was. We explained, politely, what had already happened with the mixed up information and the fact that we had paid upfront for a product that still was not available. The employee smirked and laughed in response, which came across as mocking rather than an attempt to help. There was no attempt to find a solution. We left more frustrated than when we arrived. Unprofessional and rude, on top of everything else that had already gone wrong with this purchase.

I can't speak to the owner's technical expertise but he declared that the keyboard needed to be replaced at a cost of $300 without even trying to type something on it and observe the problem. I explained to him that my daughter needed the machine to study at home that evening and for the next few days for upcoming tests and that I could bring it in 3 days later to get the repair done. He proceeded to accuse me of playing games and telling me that I was lying about my daughter needing her computer ?!? He also tried to pressure me into leave her mac right away and pick it up in the morning which also didn't work for us and then continued to insult me because I refused. Clearly, his prediction of me not getting the repair done with him was self-fulfilling because I would never do business which such an obnoxious and unprofessional individual. I'm a Professional Electrical Engineer / Executive with over 25 years of experience dealing with hundreds of suppliers large and small, and I have never been treated this poorly by anyone in the technical service industry. Being in need of an alternative, I contacted Apple Expert Calgary who actually have a store, are very polite and courteous, and are able to replace the keyboard for $250 if needed because they actually troubleshoot the machine and confirm the problem before providing a free estimate. Well worth the extra 20 min. drive.
