As a testing center this is the single worst place you could choose. Dirty, loud, and the proctor is annoying and incompetent.

Two weeks ago I started having a problem with my iPhone's battery where the entire phone would heat up almost too hot to touch and the battery would go down to zero within minutes, even when plugged in, so I took my phone to the Verizon store who told us to bring it here for a battery replacement. We brought it here and they said they would run a diagnostic just to make sure it was the battery and they'd call us in an hour. Three and a half hours later they call and say that they're replacing the battery AND the screen. They said the screen "went" while they were running the diagnostic. I never had any problems with the screen at all before but I just took their word for it. They tried to give us the phone back without the case I had on it. They searched half-heartedly for the case for three minutes and then just checked us out, we only got the case back after insisting they look more. We paid $180 for a new battery and a new screen and went home. The next day, a Sunday, I realized the battery issue wasn't fixed, it was still doing the same thing it had been, but I had to go back to college about two hours away from Oneonta. Then Monday night, without warning, the brand new screen suddenly went completely black with one white bar, and wouldn't respond to anything. Meanwhile the battery issue continued to get worse throughout the week until the phone wouldn't charge at all. We brought it back this past Saturday only because we'd already sunk so much money into this place only for them to literally make the phone worse. They replaced the screen AGAIN and still didn't fix the battery issue, and charged us another $25. We brought it back later that same day and they said that the battery won't stay charged because keeping apps open drains it. Now it's Sunday afternoon and my phone is going crazy. The screen doesn't respond to touch correctly and scrolls around, clicks things, and types things on its own. It is completely unusable. I googled the problem and found out something's wrong with the screen or the circuitry. Let me reiterate; I had this phone for almost three years and NEVER had any problem with the screen at all before I brought it here. I'm so done with this place, I wanted to keep this phone but now they've messed it up so much I have to buy a whole new one. read more

I wanted to ask a simple question about whether or not they sold iPads. The man working had no idea what I was talking about and tried to sell me something completely different, eventually he told me to come back when his son was in. I came back and the son was yelling at an employee over the phone. When he was finally done reaming out his poor employee I was completely ignored for some cute girl who had just walked in. All I wanted was to ask a yes or no question. I came back a different day (unfortunately they're the most conveniently located electronics place for me) to try and buy a new laptop charger. The guy at the desk told me my problem wasn't the charger but the connection between the charger and my laptop. He claimed he needed to take apart my laptop and do some soldering, it was going to take a couple weeks and a couple hundred dollars. I went somewhere else and bought a new laptop charger... it worked without any problems. I would be wary of any technology advice these guys give. read more

The short review: This is the place and Ali is the guy. The support for my 5-star rating: After an iPhone 6 did not recover from its swim in our washing machine, off we went to PC Pro Solution in Oneonta. As we spoke with the young man there, we decided that it might be time to upgrade to an iPhone 7. This was on the recommendation of our millennial children who were visiting. The young man suggested we talk to Ali who owns this store and another on Long Island, so we did. Ali was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating and we ended up buying a refurbished 7 for my wife and I moved from a 5s (love the size) to a 6s. This process was not without a few glitches caused mainly by a combination of needing to get a Verizon 32gb and me not asking the right questions, Ali's travel schedule and, mainly, the restrictions caused by Covid-19. Ali addressed every bump in the road and we are both happy with our phones and the transaction. Ali spent considerable time with us "programing" our phones and teaching us new skills. All of this at a very reasonable price for the products and the extra attention was free. Added to that was an hour I spent (after picking up my phone) watching him instruct two of his technicians on disassembling an iPhone, changing parts, and putting it back together. This guy is a surgeon and has a wealth of knowledge. If you need any of the services he provides, go there. you will not b e disappointed. read more

Do not bring your computer here. They have had my laptop since July 2018 (it is now September). Each time I call, someone tells me something different. When I finally received it, after a month of repair work that was supposed to take two weeks, they had not done what they said they would. When I brought it back, they said they would fix it and have it for me within a week. That was two and a half weeks ago. I just called and it still was not ready. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This business seems to be dishonest and incompetent. I regret coming here. I went in their with my water damaged laptop, I showed it to two different places around that area and they all told me that it cannot be fixed. I brought my laptop to these people and Ali the owner looked at it, ran some tests and told me that its fixable. I love my laptop I was about to buy another one but this guy saved me almost $300 and I am one happy customer. I would recommend these people over any other computer repair stores. I mean they all were charging me hourly fees and that was adding up to $600 or more. read more

IPhone 6S cracked screen. called ahead, got the price and time estimate, went straight in, the owner was working on another phone, said it would 30 min. i came back a bit early and he explained the last few steps of the repair as he did them. phone is all better! read more

I went in to have my phone repaired. The screen was not working. They replaced the phone screen which cost $100 more than the retail price, which didn't fix it. They tried to factory reset it which also didn't work but wouldn't give me my money back. I would have been okay just giving them a service fee, but not $250 for nothing but trying to fix my phone. They were not willing to work with me because they had to replace the screen but it was their fault that the old screen could not be put back on since they had ripped it when they took it off. I advise anyone against going there for repairs. read more

After replacing an initial broken IPhone screen, three days later new cracks appeared ( it was NOT dropped) and the surface was useless. After a few minutes discussing options, the owner took the screen off his personal phone and replaced the broken one. He definitely went the extra mile to make a new customer a potential repeat customer! read more
