The two guys who work here gave me a warm hello and joked around with me as I was the only one in the shop despite it being 5 in the afternoon. Instead of charging me those poncy prices, the guys let me print something off of the master computer and charged me peanuts for it. You got love the places where they aren't out to get you. I suggest you go as well. Clone Irl offers several different services. You can pop in and use the Internet or you can bring in your computer to be repaired. It also does virus removals and console repairs. They'll fix your broken PSP or Xbox. All prices are listed on their website. After they repair your electronics, they'll take the broken pieces and use them to decorate the shop. I'm only joking. I'm sure that the keyboards and tech thingies hung on the wall were not their former clients!

When I got my computer back it had an Irish cord on it, when I said it was not mine (I have an American laptop with an adapter) he got my cord and told me to keep the Irish one! Unfortunately, a week later I was sent back to the US due to the pandemic but was assured by the owner (Harry) that it could take some time but would eventually be sent back to me with the repairs made. After some spotty correspondence back and forth, that lead me to believe I would be receiving the laptop soon, I heard nothing from him. Five months have gone by and my laptop has not been sent, and I haven't received any reply to my numerous emails asking when it would be sent. For all intensive purposes my laptop was stolen. I feel very taken advantage of, them knowing that I was a visiting student who would be unable to come retrieve the laptop in person because of the extenuating circumstances. I can't help but wonder if this wouldn't have happened if I weren't a visiting student/tourist. In essence, their initial service was ok, but in the end they outright took/stole my laptop, and barely responded to my messages before entirely ignoring them. I'd strongly caution anyone not to go here, but especially visiting tourists or students studying abroad.

Into Power City and had a look there and decided one might be okay and checked the price. Headed back home and Googled Toshiba and found BMS called them and spoke with Billy. This was a fairly long conversation but Billy was great and was very helpful so I decided on a Laptop with a higher spec for a little more money. Paid and a few days later my new laptop arrives with free delivery as I had spent over a certain amount. I love the look of it - very pretty and came with a free bag. Next step ask friend....again....to help me transfer info from old laptop to new laptop.

I emailed them and got a rapid response from the managing director, Billy Guy. He then spoke to me by phone and had a lengthy discussion about exactly which laptop would best suit my needs. There was no huge sales push and I felt like he genuinely aimed to find my perfect fit and not try to just sell me the most expensive model. Delivery was delayed by a couple of days due to a production problem but I was kept fully updated and once they had it in Dublin it was delivered to me the next day. My next dealings were a year later when I stupidly spilled some tea on the keyboard. I had bought a laptop with a spillguard so luckily the service department were able to replace the keyboard easily and for a very reasonable amount! 2 years on the laptop started to die and I realised that I had 5 days left on my 3 year Toshiba warranty. Again, BMS came to the rescue. They replaced the system board under warranty and revived my laptop. I really can't fault this company. They are eternally pleasant, they are efficient, honest and know their stuff. They have a good range of laptops and are probably the best people to buy from if you want a Toshiba laptop-they are also the authorised service centre. I've recommended them to friends and will continue to do so...as I suppose I'm doing now!

He was very patient with me, answered every question i asked. When i was going to buy new thing to make my computer faster, he stated that unless you wear going to fix other thing that it would just go back to the way it was... this to me showed that it was not about the money for him, he care about his customers. The main guy Julian is very friendly, helpful, thorough and flexible with collection and drop off times. Free diagnostics are a real draw too. Once due to needing to run extensive tests on my macbook they moved the hardrive to another macbook they had at the shop which I was then able to bring home so my working week wasn't interrupted. Just one example of the resourceful hands on touch approach that you wouldn't get in the big vendors in town. I reckon I've saved myself alot of money and prolonged the life of my computer considerably by popping in here regularly over the last three years.

Brian calls me a few days later and tells me I need a new SATA cable and that the cable only costs 10 euro, then he goes on to tell me it's €185 for the repair including the deposit (or €170 if I payed him in cash) I told them not to repair it and then went to collect the PC a few days later when he tells me there is now an issue with BIOS. I took the pc and brought it straight to another shop in Phobsboro where I was told he unplugged a cable connected to one of my hard drives so that my PC wouldn't boot. The shop in phobsboro then repaired the pc for €20. Avoid this shop the owner is a thief. I still have the sticker on my pc from when he had my pc. I'll attach the photo below so he can't claim that I'm lying.
