Finding someone that can give you a real budget, who communicates well, and is reliable; however, we consistently failed to find such a person until we met Stan. He was not only an absolute pro but a delight to work with, who listened to all of our needs and clearly explained all the processes and expenses, had a wonderful and amazing team who were professional, capable, kind and fun to be around. Not to mention how fast and effective he and his team were at finishing the renovations before our baby arrives. Stan also had wonderful suggestions for some of the renovation ideas that we had in mind. If we have any other construction work, we would call on Stan and his team in a heartbeat. Thank you for preparing our house for this new chapter of our family :)

Will do things the right way, and is very courteous to my requests. Always shows up on time and turnaround time is always reasonable. This time I had a kitchen fully gutted and redone, pricing was competitive, but between all the work to be done. Electrical, plumbing, framing, granite etc. Stan coordinated it perfectly and I wish I took a before picture, because this picture doesn't do it justice. I am beyond happy and better yet my wife is . Needless to say, Thank you again Stan and your crew, you did a great job

Working with Masonworks has been a roller coaster. They are very, very good at the masonry aspect,…read morebut we had a negative experience with everything outside of the excellent stone walls and patio they built for us. They have built beautiful flat stone walls for us in our front and back yards. We were very impressed with them after the first job they did for us in our front yard a few years ago, so we did not even look at other companies when we wanted to spruce up our backyard this year. The garden walls they built in the backyard were once again beautiful. However, as a gardener, I was disappointed and frustrated by the following things: - Our contract included 50/50 loam compost for the new garden beds. During the job, we caught them filling the beds with the grass they had pulled up from our old lawn and asked them to stop doing that. - When I went to start planting, I found that the garden beds had only a layer of new soil but that my shovel quickly hit a lot of big rocks and uncovered old soil, debris, and trash. - They completely trampled and destroyed my established perennial garden, which was located in a garden bed above where the new beds were built. They also broke several pavers in a little garden path I had and removed them without replacing them. - They recommended microclover for my lawn and seeded it for us as part of the contract, but it grew in quite spotty despite us maintaining it properly with daily waterings. I contacted them about the first issue and their initial response was to tell me that the stones I was finding were part of the wall construction - this was not the case. They had someone come out to take a look and concluded that the soil did need to be replaced, which they finally did. It is much better now, though I still have found some large stones in it. However, in the process of solving that issue, they caused the second one - many of the perennials that my mother and I had worked to plant over the past four years were totally destroyed. They offered me a credit to compensate for the loss, or the option to have them reinstall new flowers, but by that point I just didn't want them near my garden anymore so accepted the credit. I didn't bother contacting them about the spotty lawn - I threw down some grass seeds yesterday to try and fill in the gaps. While I appreciated that they did eventually take steps to resolve the issues, I found it quite frustrating to have to keep reaching out just to get them to do what they really should have done in the first place. They never did a final walkthrough as I've seen other contractors do. No apology for destroying my garden. They have a Benjamin Franklin quote, "The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten" - I definitely felt some of that bitterness throughout this process. My conclusion is that they are really excellent masons but do not understand or respect gardens. If you hire them, be prepared to have to deal with that.

Kevin and his crew recently remodeled our half bath here in Ashland, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. Kevin was incredibly responsive right from our first contact and provided the best quote by far. He made the entire process seamless by letting me choose exactly what I wanted for the design while he took care of all the purchasing. He refused to compromise on quality and ensured every detail of the work was executed at the highest possible level. You can tell they care deeply about their clients. It truly feels like a great family operation--his dad even helped gather and deliver the materials, and Kevin personally came by to check on the progress and make sure we were completely happy with the results. On top of the beautiful craftsmanship, his crew was top-notch. They were respectful of our home, cleaned up impeccably, and ensured every bit of trash was taken out before they left. I cannot recommend Elite Contractors and fantastic crew highly enough!

Communication with Rob was excellent. He was prompt and complete in his responses. I was treated with respect even though our job was not the biggest. Rob was transparent with the cost of material and labor and overall the service charge was competitive and fit our budget. And finally the crew that came to install the doors was on time, did a competent job, cleaned up well afterwards and treated our home with respect and care.

The on-site manager, Jonathan, was great, and they gracefully and quickly responded to additional requests and changes of plans we requested, including entirely changing one of the windows. Even our neighbor reached out to tell us how nice and respectful they were and asked us how we found them. The answer is that I just saw that they were well-reviewed on Yelp, so I'm adding my review here too. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their work was exceptional. They replaced a shower system, which involved breaking existing tile and seamlessly re-tiling the affected section after the new shower was installed. During the process, they covered the opening with plastic so we could continue using the shower (even though it only took a couple of days). The re-tiled area blends perfectly with the rest of the shower (see attached pic). You'd never know it was repaired. They also repaired significant water damage from burst pipes, replacing and adding insulation and drywall, installed recessed lighting with dimmers, replaced a window and glass shower doors, swapped out an awkward set of swinging bathroom doors for a proper door, and took care of several long-overdue household repairs. Everything was completed quickly, quietly, and efficiently. If we ever need renovations in the future, we'll definitely be using them again.
