So when we purchased a single family, he was our guy. He did a full and half bath reno, had subcontractors replace the roof and heating system with hot water tank built in. His hardwood floor guys are great, his painter as well. The kitchen was pretty much done but needed some work around the stove, he took out cabinets and added a vent hood. And then all the little things, like installing sconces, replacing doors and storm doors and ceiling fans. He replaced all outlets and most light switches. There's not much he hasn't done here and we trust him explicitly with electrical and plumbing. Yes, it takes a while sometimes. Our assumption is he has to have another job starting as he gets near the end of ours and works us in to finish it up. It's been worth it and we value him most nearly as a family member.

I one--time made a mistake to let price win out of what I knew would be a sure thing. In the end, Marco did the work when the first contractor turned out to be incompetent. We purchased several natural stones for our bathroom renovation, and Carlos installed them with great care. He took the time to hand select individual pieces of stone from the 1' x 1' mesh to finish the edges of our walk-in shower. And Fred, Dave's plumber, is a gem. It's obvious he takes great pride in his work, and it really came through in the installation of the new heat and hot water systems in the basement. He even took the time to point out and explain some of the home's plumbing history (e.g. down spout for the old ice box!) We really enjoyed working with Dave. We gave him a high level vision of what we wanted, and he knew how to execute. This is our first home--first purchase and first renovation--and there were numerous times I thought to myself, "I'm not sure if we could've made it without Dave". He was timely, considerate, and always available. He gave us great recommendations for paints, fixtures, and accessories.
