All seemed fine, but the AAA serviceman inspected it for a puncture. He didn't see anything, so we drove on it and kept an eye out for signs of deflation. Sure enough, several hours later, we noticed it was going flat again. Suspecting a slow leak between the tire and rim, we headed to a nearby O'Reilly Auto Parts store. I spoke to the Assistant Manager and told him about our problem. Instead of trying to sell me anything, he suggested we take our car to a tire store. It was late in the day and I told him we were unfamiliar with the area, nor did we know if anyone was still open. He immediately started calling places for us, but couldn't get through, so he jumped in his vehicle and told us to follow him. We did and he found a local tire store. By the time I pulled in behind him, he had jumped out of his vehicle and was explaining our situation to the tire store manager! I didn't have to say a word! He then went back to his store. To top things off, the tire store he found for us found and fixed our problem (a nail in the tread), and refused any payment! That is service, above and beyond the call of duty! Well done, sir!

Hunter checked it and said it was defective. The warranty was honored with a new battery that Hunter installed. He also checked the charging system after installation which passed. Very pleasant, professional and helpful. Hunter is a great representative for O'reillys.

I wanted to Yelp about my visit to this auto parts store because it was the most unique experience…read moreI've had at any auto parts store. When anyone walks into one of these places they generally have a problem on their hands and are trying to fix something, or that's the only reason that's ever taken me into an auto parts store. Anyways this time stood out a more than any experience at any store in my life. I'm not going to go into the details of the problem but I'm going to tell you that right when I ran into a gentleman by the name of Mario the first thing he said is okay follow me we are going to figure this out. It was that last part "we are going to figure this out". For the first time I felt so comfortable because now I had Mario on my team and we were going to fix my problem and figure it out. Mario and I sat there in and trouble shot the problem, trying bolt after bolt. His sole focus was on me, getting that brake caliper back on and fixing my problem. He even lent me the tools to complete the repair. All I can say is it was hands down by far the most pleasant experience I've ever had at ANY store that I went to go and fix something. I asked to speak to his manager, Brian (which was very pleasant as well) and Brian gave me a response of, I hear it all the time about Mario. Thank you Mario for having my back and fixing that problem with me. You really made my ride safer on the way home and earned a customer for life.

Extremely rude staff. Bought some oil to add to my car, asked to use restroom to wash off hands…read more "No public restrooms", for a pretty good sized store seems like BS. Going to Oreilys next time.

All the local mechanics know about this place, and if you own a car, ESPECIALLY an older model car,…read moreyou NEED to know about this place too. Penny Pincher has saved us not one, not two, but at least THREE times or more, when one of our cars broke down and we needed a part that all of the regular retail chain auto parts stores said had to be "special ordered". Penny Pincher always has the parts we need in stock and always at a much lower price than those chain auto parts stores quote. Need an example? Two days ago, our older Honda Civic blew a wheel bearing while driving on the 101. None of the chain retail auto supply stores had it in stock, but told us they could special order it for $15 and that it would take days to get it. Penny Pincher had it IN STOCK for $3. A day later, we were back on the road! Thank you Penny Pincher! Lots of professional and DIY mechanics come here, so the place is always very busy. Customer service can be great or bad, depending on who you get, but out of the many times that I've dealt with PP, only once did I deal with a rude employee (he was disciplined by the manager later) and the other time, they gave me the wrong part and although they fixed their mixup without complaint, it was annoying to have to wait in that long line, so make sure you have the right part before you leave the store!

Prices....especially since auto zone and O'Reilly are 80% remanufactured parts too. Why pay more?read more
