Teams beware--this is not a place that values your business
We used to visit Pazzer's Pub regularly after games (at Shouldice) and always considered it a convenient go‑to spot for food and drinks. Unfortunately, after our most recent experience where we attened back to back nights, we won't be returning.
Our group (9ppl) was met with poor service and an openly unwelcoming attitude from our server, Natalie B.
Upon arriving we sat at separate booths because a table big enough for all of us was full. That group (I think there were 6ppl) left not long after we sat down and when we asked if we could sit where they were our server said, 'Sure, if you want to sit at a dirty table.'
She eventually did clean the table and we were able to move but not without feeling it was a major hassle. Note that there were 4 ppl in total in the place aside from us. And the previous night, same thing, maybe 3ppl in all.
Next we were informed that they no longer provide separate bills for groups of six or more, which is already inconvenient, but the bigger issue was how it was communicated.
Without any prompting from us, after agreeing without issue to pay all in one bill, which we did, our server told us not once but twice that she "has to pay out of her own pocket to serve us" and suggested we should go somewhere else.
When we expressed confusion, she responded dismissively with, "that's obvious."
This interaction was rude, uncalled for, and completely out of place given that we were simply there as paying customers and had tipped her.
It's especially disappointing because we've supported this place many times in the past. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like a burden. It definitely ruined our celebratory vibes after going undefeated.
For anyone in a team or group setting, I would strongly recommend considering other nearby options. Brewsmith Brewing (just a quick 3 min drive away) has a fantastic selection of beers and a much more enjoyable atmosphere, and Leopold's Tavern offers great food and consistently friendly service.
In comparison, Pazzer's Pub is subpar and unaccommodating which is something we previously overlooked out of convenience.
Do Natalie B. a favor and go somewhere else!
