I've been putting off writing this review for months because the people here are so kind and attentive but 4/5 people in my group had some tummy issues after eating here. I had a full vegetarian meal and was the only one who didn't have any problems. The other 4 people said the food was great when they were eating it but afterwards their stomachs were not good. The view was great, on the gold course watching the birds and golfers. They gave us few churros which was the best thing we ate there. The chef was so kind and open to my suggestion of adding a little more spice to the food. I need to give this place another try and hopefully add a few more stars.

Mahi-Mahi Power Bowl: gluten free. Rice, black beans, Brussels sprouts, pickled onions, corn, cabbage, cotija and avocado. Amazing!

Yes. It's a food truck at Alpine Golf Course. The atmosphere is lovely, excellent music at just the right volume, gorgeous setting with fresh flowers, fun decor, colorful tables, well manicured course (it's come a long way with new owners) and the pond (10th hole water hazard). Our family gathered here for Mother's Day, enjoyed dining outside and loved every bite. There are plenty of large ceiling fans to keep the air moving and if you prefer to dine inside, there is seating available, also. If you have a well mannered dog and a leash, bring him/her along. The food is absolutely amazing! The power bowls - fabulous! Gluten free - pick a protein. If you have a food allergy or need gluten free, just tell them. They will accommodate you and you will still get a delicious meal. The salsas, green and red, are fresh and flavorful with a kick but not too spicy for most palates. The white queso is homemade and exceptionally delicious - you won't find a clone of it anywhere around. Our teenagers devoured it, hence no photo. We loved the Tres Leches French Toast - while we shared one plate, I could have definitely hoarded one for myself. It's like a churo meets French toast with fresh cream. I didn't need to syrup, but it's there. This is still a food truck so yes, plastic ware and paper plates are in play. Easy clean up. The food is very fresh and cooked to order. I suggest patience, enjoy the views, good company, take some photos with fun backgrounds, and plan to stay a while. This is not a fast food dining experience. Beer and wine plus a cocktail menu are available. This is a five star place in the making. My four stars are for minor things and I'm sure it will only improve over time. We will definitely add this to our top five favorites in the area. Eat local. Tell a friend.

They were very busy as expected with over 300 reservations so the wait was not at all bad, the service however........HORRIBLE! The young man, (Brandon, Brenton, Bradley....some B name) that was our server, was absolutely terrible. Mom (being European) requested water NO ICE but that simple request could not be granted, he filled the glass with lots of ice and very little water. At one point a glass of water was spilt but all "B" did was walk over, place a large stack of napkins on the table and then he walked away. No attempt to clean it up, no offer, just napkins. There was a "special Mother's Day menu" so we asked about the Ribeye that was on the menu. "B" responded was "what do you want to know, its a ribeye, its $40 bucks and you get 2 sides", which other that the price, is exactly same info as was on the menu. He provided no other info such as sides, type of beef. A few minutes later, "B" walked by with a pitcher of water so Mom asked for more water, He put up one finger, didn't say a word and just walked on by and began filling other water glasses. The restaurant had the spinning "fly shooing" devises on some of the tables to keep flys from landing on food. When we requested one, "B" quickly dismissed the request, saying "we are all out", even though we observed several other employees walking around and supplying them. I get that Mother's Day brunch was busy and there were a lot of patrons at the restaurant but common courtesy, common sense and a little bit of real work ethic would have been nice. If "B" wasn't trained correctly, that's on the facility but it just appeared to be "B" and his own lack of people skills. If you don't like people, don't have people skills or get overwhelmed by people, you should not be in the "people business". Will we return to have lunch or dinner.....of course, it's a great place with wonderful food and wine. "B" should definitely find other employment!

My friend and my girlfriend both ordered their espresso martini that my friend claimed was the best espresso martini in town, while I got the bartender's recommendation of the Animal Style, a pineapple and jalapeño infused tequila with strawberries, cardamom bitters, and a lemon peel garnish. Normally, I hate any drink that is spicy. I cannot stand a Bloody Mary because I don't believe drinks should be allowed to be spicy, but this one, for having jalapeño, is not spicy at all. If anything, it's slightly savory with its tropical flavor. The bartender was great. They have appetizers and tapas as well and as my girlfriend sat down, she really wanted just one of their fresh oysters. I ordered her just one to try and it was $4.25. They gave us the smallest one they could find. The tiniest oyster of all time. I guess size really didn't matter because according to her it was very good. I would go back and have a few more cocktails, but it is a nice place to hang out on the square on a Friday night. A good time to be had by all. RIYL: The finest, most $15ish cocktail you can find.

Every single staff member went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. They were warm, accommodating, and genuinely cared about our experience. The chef's food was phenomenal--hands down some of the best food we've ever had, not just "good for a winery," but genuinely incredible. A special shoutout to Kevin, the bartender, who took it upon himself to come back after the proposal to take photos for us. Our experience at Prime 102 was comparable to the best steakhouses in New Orleans. The food was great and the service was truly exceptional. We were a party of 7, so we had the opportunity to explore a number of the menu items. The jumbo lump crab cakes, the tuna tartare, the loaded potato casserole, and the lobster Mac and cheese were excellent. One might not think Brussels sprouts would be special, but these were unlike any I've ever had. They were definitely a surprising highlight of the meal and a must have for future dinners. The rib eye and filets were all delicious, perfectly cooked to the requested temperature. The servings of the chocolate cake and the butter cake are large enough to share. Both were delicious. But if I had to pick just one, I'd give the nod to the butter cake as it is a unique taste experience. In addition to the great food, our waiter, Matt R, was outstanding. He was attentive to our needs and pacing of the meal. His advice and descriptions of dishes, when asked, were spot on and very helpful. His attentiveness contributed to an overall exceptional experience. Although it has no effect on the food and the service, the original art deco decor makes for an interesting, special setting. I should also add that the prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and service. I can't say that Prime 102 is the best restaurant in Tyler, but only because we haven't been to any other high end restaurant there. But it's hard to imagine any better. If it were in New Orleans, it would be in our regular dining rotation. We're planning to visit family in Tyler annually. And dinner at Prime 102 will be a mandatory event.
