I've been putting off writing this review for months because the people here are so kind and attentive but 4/5 people in my group had some tummy issues after eating here. I had a full vegetarian meal and was the only one who didn't have any problems. The other 4 people said the food was great when they were eating it but afterwards their stomachs were not good. The view was great, on the gold course watching the birds and golfers. They gave us few churros which was the best thing we ate there. The chef was so kind and open to my suggestion of adding a little more spice to the food. I need to give this place another try and hopefully add a few more stars.

Mahi-Mahi Power Bowl: gluten free. Rice, black beans, Brussels sprouts, pickled onions, corn, cabbage, cotija and avocado. Amazing!

Yes. It's a food truck at Alpine Golf Course. The atmosphere is lovely, excellent music at just the right volume, gorgeous setting with fresh flowers, fun decor, colorful tables, well manicured course (it's come a long way with new owners) and the pond (10th hole water hazard). Our family gathered here for Mother's Day, enjoyed dining outside and loved every bite. There are plenty of large ceiling fans to keep the air moving and if you prefer to dine inside, there is seating available, also. If you have a well mannered dog and a leash, bring him/her along. The food is absolutely amazing! The power bowls - fabulous! Gluten free - pick a protein. If you have a food allergy or need gluten free, just tell them. They will accommodate you and you will still get a delicious meal. The salsas, green and red, are fresh and flavorful with a kick but not too spicy for most palates. The white queso is homemade and exceptionally delicious - you won't find a clone of it anywhere around. Our teenagers devoured it, hence no photo. We loved the Tres Leches French Toast - while we shared one plate, I could have definitely hoarded one for myself. It's like a churo meets French toast with fresh cream. I didn't need to syrup, but it's there. This is still a food truck so yes, plastic ware and paper plates are in play. Easy clean up. The food is very fresh and cooked to order. I suggest patience, enjoy the views, good company, take some photos with fun backgrounds, and plan to stay a while. This is not a fast food dining experience. Beer and wine plus a cocktail menu are available. This is a five star place in the making. My four stars are for minor things and I'm sure it will only improve over time. We will definitely add this to our top five favorites in the area. Eat local. Tell a friend.

I got two veggie tacos I really only needed one because they're very filling. This is my new go to spot! You can tell a lot of love goes into this food.

We didn't, we got it from here. We ordered and had an estimate of 5:35 PM. Upon arriving, one of the staff working To Go asked what I was waiting for and I told her we were early, gave our last name and she took note. This was shortly after 5 PM. I got a good tip ready, as I expected she would be tracking this order. 5:50 PM, my wife tried calling 3 times and no answer. I went inside. no one acknowledged me. Given there were so few people there, I don't understand why they can't answer the phone when my wife called 3 times, but can stand around texting on their own phones. The cleanliness was lacking, even in the unoccupied section. I would expect with so many staff and so few customers, someone could have picked up a little. I went to the front and mentioned the issue. I finally did get my order. I made sure all containers were there but my wife didn't mention the chocolate milk, so that was a loss. Unfortunately, I didn't open all containers to see the incorrect contents. I lost about an hour here. I didn't even get an apology for taking double the time I was told. They truly do not care! If someone in Austin pays attention, you need to get an on site manager. Given so many paid staff doing nothing, fire most and start over. Better to regain your reputation at a temporary expense. Review camera footage. It backs up time hacks and lazy employees. Chuy's has been around literally decades. I hate seeing it dragged through the mud for one rogue location. We will give this location another try in case it was a fluke. Taking my son to the ER was a better experience than this place. t would be funnier if it wasn't true. PS - I don't care about sorry for my poor experience, etc. Fix the problem. Make it good again.

We got seated at 7:20 PM, which…read moreseemed great at first because we only waited about 10 minutes for a table... or so I thought. It took 50 minutes just to get our appetizers and the margaritas we ordered. After that, the wait only got worse. At 9:10 PM, we finally received 3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered. We didn't want our food to get cold, so we went ahead and started eating. We actually finished our meals before the last dish even came out -- and then it suddenly showed up after we were already done. Waiting that long for food, getting meals at completely different times, and having such slow service made this a really frustrating experience. I'm beyond disappointed. The only good part of the night was thinking the short wait for a table meant we'd have a good evening... but that definitely wasn't the case. Really hoping this was just a bad night, but this experience makes it hard to want to come back.

El Sombrero - ¡Muy Bueno!…read more What an incredible find! We're big fans of carnitas, and for years our favorite was Mercado Juarez in Arlington, Texas--we hadn't found anything that even came close after moving to East Texas five years ago. That changed tonight. We decided to try El Sombrero, and the carnitas were absolutely outstanding--honestly, even better than Mercado Juarez! The flavor, tenderness, and overall quality were just amazing. We can't say enough good things about this place. It's safe to say we've officially found our go-to Mexican restaurant in East Texas!
