First time visiting and first Quakes game. My review does not factor the quality (or lack thereof) of the game. Pros: Clean, modern stadium. Parking, entering and exiting were relatively easy. Staff is friendly. Cons: Food concessions were horrible! We went to buy dinner BEFORE THE MATCH STARTED. First place we went to offered 3 items. They were sold out of 2 and the cashier didn't even know it. Another employee informed her. (Come to think of it, I didn't ask about the 3rd item so maybe they were out of that as well.) We instead went to the new, heavily-promoted chicken place. They were nearly out of everything and we were told they weren't making any more. Again, this was BEFORE THE MATCH STARTED. We did get a few items and they were quite bad. My tenders and tots were dry and flavorless. I didn't finish them. If we go again, we'll try the food trucks instead. Signage is poor. We managed to get there fine between GPS and traffic flow but it was never clear what lane we should/could be in. Same with leaving. Maybe I was spoiled by recently watching the World Cup on TV, but I was shocked by the complete lack of information and statistics given to the crowd either by PA or onscreen. The scoreboard (half of which usually showed ads) occasionally showed replays and displayed the score, but that was it. It struck me that a hearing impaired person would literally only know the score. I kind of liked how the PA didn't talk much, but, if that's the case, there needs to be information displayed somewhere. We sat near the corner and the view and sight lines were actually decent but I found it odd that the seats weren't angled towards the field. We either had to sit diagonally in our seats or sit with our heads turned. My neck was sore by halftime. read more

This place was awesome for my first time here and for my first San Jose Earthquakes game. There are concession stands as well as food trucks here for food n drinks. But heads up if you need to use the restroom go before the intermission because like are super long and there's only 2 restrooms on each side. The food was a little pricey but not bad but this place is CARD ONLY and do NOT take cash. I would love to go here again for an event again or for another San Jose Earthquakes game. I show up to this place at least once a season. When I lived in San Jose it was more often, but once a season or a few months apart is still part of the Bay Area soccer fan things to do! I have only been to the earthquakes. I attended their season opener last Saturday. All seats have a good view(something to consider if you buying tickets for the first time). Parking requires a decent walk but it's decent. Quite delightful place to watch a game. In previous years I've seen gold cup matches, usmnt friendly, liga mx friendly matches, i still need to attend a bay fc game. Definitely recommend 5/5 read more

Event & Atmosphere This review is for PayPal Park during a Bay FC women's professional soccer match against Urawa Reds from Japan as part of their summer series. We came to support our local club--this wasn't our first time at the stadium, but it was our first time seeing Bay FC play. I've been to several Earthquakes games over the years but usually focus on other local pro sports. What brought us this time was the Hello Kitty hat giveaway, which sounded like a fun idea for my five-year-old niece, who just started playing soccer and happens to be a huge Hello Kitty fan. The atmosphere was super family-friendly and relaxed. It's really nice to enjoy a summer day outdoors in a chill environment without the hectic energy of larger pro stadiums. Everything felt smooth, organized, and pleasant. Staff & Security We're regulars at Levi's (49ers), Oracle (Giants), and Chase Center (Warriors/Valkyries), and every venue has its own vibe and policies. We found the staff at PayPal Park to be especially kind, patient, and nice--maybe because the crowd energy is more manageable. They handled everything with care and helped make it a stress-free day. Tickets & Pricing One of the best parts? Tickets are reasonably priced, so you can take the whole family without breaking the bank. A refreshing change compared to other venues where costs quickly add up. Bag Policy & Water The bag policy is similar to Levi's--no backpacks, and only clear bags or small clutches are allowed. However, PayPal Park has a free bag check area, which is amazing! You can drop off your bag and pick it up after the game. You're also allowed to bring one unopened water bottle (under 1 liter) or an empty bottle to use at the refill stations inside. Outside food isn't generally allowed, except in rare exceptions. Food Options Rather than eating at the standard concessions, we opted for the food trucks parked outside the stadium. They had a great international variety--from sushi and tacos to Greek and Korean options. Prices were fair and food was tasty. Good selection. Parking & Transit There are various parking options, including ADA spaces and tailgate lots. Prices vary--some I saw listed between $32-$75 on Ticketmaster. ADA parking was $29. If you'd rather not drive, it's super easy to take the VTA, walk from the train station, or Uber/Lyft. Just note that pick-up/drop-off is about two blocks from the stadium, so be ready for a short walk (less than 1/8 mile). Overall Experience We had a great time. The game was enjoyable, the Hello Kitty hats were adorable and easy to get, and the day felt well-organized and peaceful. Honestly, it was a relief after the chaotic experience with the Giants' shirt giveaway earlier this year at Oracle--we never even got our shirts at that one even though we arrived 2.5 hrs early and are Clear members, and season ticket holders. Having watched games from section 107 and the Audi Field Club, both are great sections to watch a game from. From section 107 you are at midfield and can see everything going on. At the Audi field club section you can't see the formations but you are close to the players which is a totally different vantage point. For games at night you should definitely dress warm as it gets cold even if during the day it is in the 80's. Also, the way the stadium is set up with one end open a cold breeze comes in. If you can, bring a blanket. I also like that this stadium allows food trucks to park inside the stadium on game days so that you have multiple options for food. read more

First time at PayPal Park recently for a Bay FC game, and it was overall a great experience. I suggest getting there about an hour (or more) early if you are planning to eat. They have a large lawn area with lots of food trucks, so many good options! The prices at the food trucks were pretty standard. There are a good amount of standing countertops between the field and the bar where you can eat and watch the players practice. There are other concession stands around the stadium, but the food trucks offered a lot more variety. The concession stands also sell a three-pack of Crumble Cookies. Fun fact: The bar at PayPal is the largest outdoor bar in North America! Shoutout to Kitty the bartender for making a delicious margarita, and for their great energy!! Love this soccer stadium, hate the parking price! I am always thrilled to attend soccer games here and am hoping to make it a habit. Season tickets are a steal whether for Earthquakes or Bay FC. I am amazed at the capacity size and how it does not feel like that even during a sold out game. It's easy to stroll and get to/from the bathrooms which are super clean. I appreciate that they have sale items & that we get a solid walk in and out. Be sure to dress warmly as even summer nights can get breezy. I do wish it was more family friendly and we could bring in our food like the CU Tech Arena. I am impressed that my 8 year olds can sit through each half without needing to get up. PayPal park is nicely laid out and has good amenities. There is a large lawn area on the north end where there is a line of food trucks and a spattering of booths you can play games at or get some swag. There is a huge bar that has bar tenders on both the lawn side and the stadium side so it's easy to walk up and grab a drink. The jumbo screen facing the lawn area as well as the stadium. Drinks are typical for a large event venue - overpriced and so-so tasting. The food truck options were good through and enough of a selection for us non-meat eaters as well. At the north end of the field, you can stand and watch warm ups and a lot of people just watched the game from there as well. Security was easy to get through, don't forget to only bring a clear bag or you'll have to check any other bags into bag check prior to entering. We just experienced our first game at papal Park last night. We were blown away with how clean it was compared to all the other stadiums in the Bay Area. We even walked in late to the game and it was still super clean everywhere. We didn't eat any of the food because there weren't a lot of healthy options or non-fried vegetarian foods available, but our seats were easy to find and clean and I loved how bad behavior was not tolerated. Everybody seemed very positive. It was kind of cool to watch the planes fly past the scoreboard to land at the airport during the game, another thing that we really like is that we were able to pre-pay for a parking ahead of time and Ticketmaster made it so easy to bring up the parking and entrance tickets on your phone. NWSL: May 17 + May 24 I was super excited to attend my first NWSL matches, two Fridays in a row. The first match was Bay FC vs. SD Wave. I made sure to purchase the parking ticket to avoid traffic confusion, which helped. We got there way too early (I wanted to avoid the 880 Friday traffic coming from the East Bay), so we ended up standing outside for a bit. It was nice to see fellow Bay FC fans, and I was excited. My main quip about the whole entrance process was the fact that the "signs" for where to line up were all at chest level, so people weren't able to see them. It would help if the signs were posted up high so that everyone could see them. For instance, if you don't have a backpack, there's a line for you. But did people see it? No. The other fans only realized that it was there when they got closer to their original line. Additionally, the yelling employees were frustrated that people weren't in the correct lines. Come on! I told them, "It would help if your sign were up high rather than at chest level," and the security guard just gave me the stare of death. Food choices: I would say Chase Center still wins. The food available at this venue is mediocre at best, so I would highly suggest you eat before going here. At least at Chase Center, you pay like you have to sell your kidneys - the quality is understandable. The quality here - not only is it pricey - but it's also nonexistent. I made the mistake of buying a hamburger that tasted bland, cold, and tasteless. I believe it was $17 or something to that effect. I also got a souvenir glass with "premium" alcohol, and it was decent. The second match was on May 24. I learned my lesson to arrive later. I also ate before leaving, so my cousin was the only one who bought food. However, Bay FC apparently "ran out" of the souvenir plastic tumbler. I was so disappointed. Imagine if that had been my first time attending and I couldn't even have that as my souvenir? Such a big failure from a marketing perspective. Leaving the parking lots... thankfully, people/fellow spectators were nice and empathetic regarding the struggle of leaving the area. Came here for the Enchant Christmas winter wonderland event with my boyfriend and a group of friends. We had a lot of fun going on a scavenger hunt to look for all of Santa's reindeers, and taking a lot of fun and magical holiday photos together. The lights were very pretty, and we enjoyed walking around for a couple of hours and collecting stamps and taking photos until closing time. We came at a later hour, because it was cheaper and we wanted to avoid the bigger crowds with more kids at the earlier hours. They didn't allow pepper spray into the park, which I had attached to my clipper card around my neck. My boyfriend had to take my pepper spray and put it in his car in the parking lot before rejoining me. I've yet to return to visit PayPal Park for any other events, but I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Love the quakes but at tonight's game- we are transporting an elderly fan who uses a walker and asked an attendant if we could park in the ADA area and of course offered to pay the additional amount which had spaces but this gentleman said no because we didn't have her placard. Stadium is beautiful. We watch the earthquakes game here but now that Monterey has an USL team we support the local Team. Every seat is pretty decent, If you prefer to be on the lawn and watch the game from where the food trucks and bar area there are tvs everywhere. Like all stadium foods and drinks they can get pricey especially, if you come in really early so more eating and drinking time to pass the time away. The people and ambience of the crowd is contagious. Some of the staff do not know things so we would have to ask several staff in order to get an answer or information about the stadium. The restrooms are nice and clean. Parking is not that bad but leaving can be a nightmare hence a lot of fans leave 20-15 minutes before the game ends, which is unheard of when you attend a "football/soccer" game in Europe. read more

This is for the enchanted Christmas No verbal instructions were given when we arrived, leaving us frustrated and aimlessly driving around in circles. When we tried to ask for help, no one spoke English or even tried to understand us. The place was a chaotic mess--overcrowded, disorganized, and completely ignoring the scheduled times. People were going in and out whenever they felt like it, and we were inexplicably let in ahead of our time, proving the system was a joke. To make matters worse, we were explicitly told that tripods for our phones were not allowed inside, yet as soon as we entered, we saw at least four people with tripods and professional cameras flaunting the rules. The entire experience was an infuriating disaster, and for what it's worth, we will never be coming back. This place is a complete waste of time and money. Save your money and go to Christmas in the park. read more

A collection of nice light sculptures an ice rink, a light up floor and a Christmas market. There are some snack food, alcoholic drinks and mocktails available. We enjoyed walking through the little Christmas market buying cookies. There are Benches for seating, a Photo Booth and the best part very Clean restrooms. I've been to PayPal Park now a couple of times for Earthquakes games. The park is really nice with great food. Walking into the stadium, you'll get a good whiff of all the delicious hot dog stands that line the parking lots. Inside the stadium they have different food trucks that always have a long line. One pro tip is to get to the stadium about 30 min to an hour early before games if you want to get something from the food trucks. The first time I went, my friend ordered a chicken sandwich, and she lined up right when the game started, she didn't get her food until the second half of the game. If you get there early, you'll be fine. I've tried their sushi truck and the chicken sandwich truck, and both were great. Drinks are expensive inside the stadium which is expected. A lot of people tailgate in the parking lot which is a great idea. Next time, we'll probably do that instead. Another tip is to park in Lot #4 on the first floor near the exit. The first time I went we parked in Lot #2, and omg it took an hour to exit the lot after the game since everyone was waiting for the lights to turn green on Coleman Ave, and only a few cars could go at a time. read more

Here are some tips as you prepare to visit. -Bring your clear bags. -Leave your stainless steel water bottles at home (yeti like) or theyll make you "check it" before entering the stadium. -Unopened plastic water bottles are allowed to bring in and will save you at least $7 each from concession stand. -Parking has ranged from $30-$36 i believe. -lots of food trucks to choose from and standard concession stand items (the hot dog is super small, but the Brats are huge- get that instead) -You can bring in your own food so we just pack your clear bag with any food u desire from home -my daughter loves stadium nachos so thats her go to. We also like to get boba or soft serve yum yum All in all its a great time. To leadership- I wish that Paypal would support women sport AWAY games by hosting viewing parties. I haven't seen them do that once for the BayFC away games. Ps. MLS GAME: SEEING IS BELIEVING As an American growing up I loved football but hated soccer. My dislike of soccer changed in 1998 when I saw the World Cup game on ESPN. I was astonished by the passion of the crowd and the speed of international football. I thought to myself wouldn't that be great if I went to a World Cup game. That reality happened as I attended 3 World Cups: 2002 Japan, 2006 Germany, and 2010 South Africa. I never went to an MLS game prior to this year. I've been to this stadium once when watching the live telecast of the 2018 World Cup Final between France and Croatia. I remembered how the loud the crowd inside the stadium was for this telecast game. People had commented that this stadium has an English Premier League layout. Even though I am not an MLS fan I had to watch an MLS game at this stadium. This year I came to watch the San Jose Earthquake's home opener against Vancouver Whitecap. I have preconceived notions regarding the style of play in MLS as slow and ponderous. When I watch the fast-pace of the English Premier League on TV or the free-flowing of the World Cup live I had to see what makes MLS different. I sat at one of end of the goals where most soccer fans will tell you this is the best section to watch a game. When I saw the two teams play on the pitch I felt the players were congested on the field. Are the players in the MLS that slow? I felt that the style of play had to be due to the dimension of the soccer pitch at PayPal Park was smaller than at an English Premium League stadium. After the game I found out that FIFA guidelines for a football pitch is 115 yards in length with 75 yards in width. Quite a number of MLS stadiums have field size to be 110 yards by 70 yards; PayPal Park's field size is 115 yards by 74 yards. I can't blame the field size at PayPal Park for the style of play. For my first MLS game I enjoyed my experience as the Earthquakes won against the Whitecaps. PayPal Park has a similar intimate feel of watching a game like Oracle Park in San Francisco. Two reasons why I did not give a higher rating. First at one end of the goal is open where the sound of fans isn't trapped on the field. Second is the location of the stadium is near the airport instead of near downtown where more boisterous crowd can attend the game. read more

My son's been to the Stadium prepandemic for a couple of soccer games and loved it! This review has nothing to do with that. Multicultural family night: it was advertised as a family cultural night for all ages, there were at least four rows of vendors and a stage in the distance with music that was incredibly loud for little ones to listen to in strollers. My adult ears were personally hurting as I walked closer to those vendors on that side of the park near the stage. Nevertheless there were rap groups talking about hip-hop music and love for their city of San Jose while dropping F bombs and talking about women's body parts as well as drug related and gun related lingo in their music- HOW IS THAT all cultural-based?!?!? I did not appreciate. The music was very rap heavy and hard on my ears. Perhaps I'm a little jaded since I wanted to see a local particular R&B group. I personally wanted to see Kamiko & The Good Things with no set time schedule I showed up around 6 PM and stayed for about 30 minutes, until my ears could no longer listen to their harsh rap- condescending towards women lyrics any longer. Vendors were all very eclectic and I loved watching the gentleman paint!! I'm sad to see the music genre of bands wasn't as well organized as the arts and craft artisans area was. Hopefully next time they want to play more hard-core rap, they do not advertise the event as "a family fun cultural night for all ages." No masks in sight, except for us. read more

The rise of the stand is steep so it is easy to see over the person in front of you. Stadium food is decent including the usual burgers, hotdogs, nachos, BBQ etc. Food is even better in the many food trucks in the Epicenter where it's like a family party area. Libation is plentiful including the LOBINA, longest outdoor bar in North America. Parking is easy in the large parking structures next to the stadium. Game tickets are easy to come by and relatively inexpensive for a major league team because sadly the team hasn't been a perennial powerhouse since the days it played at Spartan Stadium. Still PPP is a good place for serious soccer fans and families alike to take in a game. read more

Review for Enchant San Jose. This is a fun place to take the family in the evening to enjoy some amazing Christmas lights. Highly recommend buying tickets online before getting here because the line is super slow despite being short. After entering you'll find the maze entrance which is the main attraction here. Kids and adults alike can get all their stamps by searching for Santa's reindeer. The dance floor is off the hook and fun for kids and adults alike. You can definitely buy snacks in the maze, but the real spot for eating are all the food carts located right outside the maze when you finish. Stores are mediocre, but you might find some interesting things there. Some people make this place a tradition, but some may feel you wont want to visit after the first time. We were there yesterday for the soccer game of USA and TRI and everyone (all the employees)was so nice from the start till we left. We stopped for food at a booth and I wanted coffee and the nice lady working there said there wasn't any but actually made me a cup which I thought was very thoughtful and nice. We were smiled at and treated nicely every time we were in line for something,told where we could park as an alternative from the entrance and exactly how far and how long it would take us to get to the stadium which was very nice, the stadium is clean and a very nice experience all the way around. It was Father's Day and thank you everyone for making that a more special day than it already was! The players were very gracious to people too, thank you to them and everyone! read more

For relative ticket prices I would say: * Mixed drinks are blah...save your money *Food trucks are a nice touch, but not top tier for sure *Snack areas around stadium are a rip-off...I bought a bottle of water with a credit card. The keypad gave me options on tipping: 15% 20% etc...I wanted to skip or try a lower amount (for water) and the keypad functionality is disabled. Likely programmed by management to ensure you have to tip generously, even for handing me a bottle of water. Finally, the ticket prices are not worth the product on the field. (just being honest) Hard to watch English Premier league on Saturday then pay over $100/seat to see a 1-0 game vs Orlando. Not going back read more
