This arena and I have a pretty long term relationship.Ive been to so many events here over the…read moreyears since they opened in 1993-I am pretty sure I went to a San Jose Sharks game that inaugural season back in 93 when I was a young 20 years old. Over the years I've seen multiple Sharks games-many concerts here,I've been to March Madness multiple times at this arena but my favorite events at this arena is probably the multiple times I watched UFC live at SAP Center, followed closely by the now defunct StrikeForce MMA fights that used to have shows at this great venue. Of course being that I live in the Sacramento area now as opposed when I lived in the East Bay,the trips take a bit more planning and usually involve an overnight stay at one of the many great hotels in the area but that doesn't actually make the events at this event any less fun,in fact it enhances them. One of the true beauties of this arena is the way the city has built up the area around the arena-just a short walk away there are a plethora of incredible restaurants and bars that are great to enjoy either before or after events depending on the day of the week-I will admit I may have had to carry the wifey out of the Old Wagon Saloon after indulging a bit too much after a great event at the Sap Center-my point being-so many great options in the area for entertainment both post and pre events at this arena. As with every arena, traffic and parking are quite the challenge here-there is onsite parking but it is extremely pricey-I always find using light rail to get in and out of events at this arena is still the best value in the game. Inside the arena,it's been very well maintained and is very modern for an arena that is almost 33 years old-bathrooms are super convenient and generally always clean. The staff have always been extremely helpful and were definitely helpful when I first learned about hockey etiquette-I will always appreciate them for that. Food at this stadium is plentiful-though there is still stadium pricing so that's to be expected-Beer pricing is nothing unique-very standard but they do have some cool options,my last trip I picked up a hockey stick that I could drink my beer out of-I love that thing. In closing-If you ever find yourself with an event that is going to take place at this arena-I would not hesitate to go to this arena and enjoy yourself-it's a world class venue and I'm sure you will have a great time.....even if the Sharks lose

Love how local SAP has become over the past few years with their food options. While they of course…read morehave the standard event food like popcorn, nachos, hot dogs, and chicken tenders, they also have a bunch of local businesses throughout the center. Some of my favorites are El Halal Amigos and Pana, and I also love seeing Nirvana Soul and Voyager there too. SAP is Conveniently located near downtown and the light rail and train station, so getting down here via public transit, or finding parking that isn't too expensive nearby is never too difficult of a problem. I've come here for concerts and sporting events, and am always glad to deal with the ease of coming here, vs having to go to the city.

San Jose State University versus Boise State University. We were lucky to get tickets from my friend's son. There were 21K+ people at the game. It was freezing cold. I am thankful I had a beanie and my Ugg boots and jacket to keep me warm. I also remembered to bring a seat cushion for my seat on the bleachers. Overall, I had a good experience watching a college football game for the first time. The only down side was the parking was full. My friend told me in time so I end up taking uber there instead so I don't have to worry about parking. Then finding the will call ticket was a challenge. I didn't know the will call tickets were right where the ticket booth was. They should add Will Call to the Ticket Booth sign. Just took some time to find the will call to get my ticket. Overall, if you come during the winter, make sure to dress warm and bring transparent bag. It's a good stadium to watch a football game.

I wish the Sharks would communicate better regarding how they coordinate and lay out player autographs during both the early Sharks365 sessions and the subsequent General Admission autograph session. It helps with a game plan to help your kids get as many autographs as possible. The coordination of all three on-ice photo opportunities are very organized - a necessity when it's so crowded! All in all, so much to do! It was a blast! It was nice to see so many alumni at the Legends game, too!

Great price, even going to the movies with 4 people costs more than that! How could we say no??? Parking was well managed even with Santa Clara street being blocked off for an event. NOTE! SAP center changed their bag policy so we had to leave our purses/mini backpacks in the car. Their website is updated with what is acceptable. SAP center staff is always great at helping everyone and I love how personable they are. A pleasure to deal with! In the morning we were able to watch the players practice on the ice for about an hour. My son caught one of the practice pucks that flew over the glass which instantly made the ticket purchase worth it! There was a section to take a photo booth picture, pictures with sharkie, pictures on the ice, get your face painted, kids athletic area, and of course the meet the players/autographs. I wish that there was a published program that we could take that showed the times of all the events. Lines got long pretty quickly without us knowing what it was for. Prior to the event I guess there was an email that was sent out where you could reserve your time to take photos on the ice otherwise you wouldn't be able to do it. Kind of a bummer as the line didn't seem so long. My daughter had a stamp from doing the kids work out and a staff member let her line up to take a picture with the shark head but since the rest of our family didn't have a stamp we went back up to get one then found out we couldn't take a picture........ yet my daughter had no reservation and was able to line up so?? Aside from that (which wasn't a big deal) I think this was a great event to go to and definitely worth the price especially if you are a sharks fan. We were able to get super close to the players and it really was a great fan experience to be able to walk the SAP center so freely. If they could publish a schedule and maybe be more organized with the timing of things then that would improve it a bit. We will likely be back for the next one :).
