Out of all the places I've visited, this was the only place that listened to me and understood my problem. They weren't trying to sell me a shoe, rather a solution and it was worth it to wear that pair out of the store and finally walk on my own without the help of a walking boot. I have to say, I showed up with my 3 kids hoping it'd be a quick in and out. Unfortunately the next size up was still too small. My daughter also has one foot larger than the other and we're trying to figure out big kid sizing or women's sizing... shoe fit, etc. Hannah spent about an HOUR with us trying to figure out the best shoe in style and fit for my daughter. My daughter also talks incessantly and I have 2 young boys. It was not an easy task but she helped us so cheerfully the entire time. I learned so much from talking with her about shoes and sizing. They also called the Williamsburg store for us to see if they had her size since my daughter was SO IN LOVE with these shoes. I was willing to drive since finding a good shoe in her size and preferences has been complicated. If it wasn't for her, I would not have been able to make it out of the store with shoes AND my sanity intact. I am so very grateful! Another gentleman processed our return/exchange and he was also wonderful! I missed his name but it's clear that this store hires well. I can only hope that their staff are so wonderful because they're also well cared for.

The boots have always been very pricey but they held up very well and lasted on average 3 years. We would drop them off at least yearly to have them treated. My husband kept asking "Are you SURE these were last Christmas?" I just looked through my purchases and photos on my phone and indeed they were delivered December 28, 2022. He said the sole started coming off last night. It is early November and he's been complaining about these since September. Needless to say, we are looking elsewhere for replacement boots. It's unfortunate because Red Wing was always quality was always reliable until this pair. The customer service at the store was very helpful which is why I even gave 2 stars. They assisted me in looking up his specific previous shoes to ensure consistency. I wish the quality was the same. Certainly not worth $200+ anymore.
