I first went to L&D AutoTech when there was a strange noise coming from my car when it started. It…read morehad something to do with the belts. They were really nice and fixed it right away. I have gotten my car inspected at L&D. I have also gotten a couple of other things done. I love my car. It is not fancy, it gets me where I need to go and it is reliable. Recently, I got in my car, I put the key in, and it did not start. I was pretty pissed off. I took the battery and carried it to L&D. They told me I should have called. They tested the battery and it seemed fine. Then they drove me to my car, worked on the car, figured out the problem and left and came back with a new battery. Then they took the car to the shop and made sure other things were taken care of. They also changed my oil. No work that was done without my approval and nothing was pressured. I have represented these guys on business ventures, and sometimes, when you know people in other contexts, you can be disappointed. This is one of those unique situations where I can recommend someone to my mechanic without hesitation. I have recommended them to several people I know and each has been extremely happy. They don't just make me look good, they really fix stuff. Sometimes, I bet they are annoyed by the crazy situations I create with my car, but they fix it each and every time I manage to do something batmanish. The other day, I was in the shop with my car and they were fixing it and I was sitting in the waiting area with other customers and it was almost like a cult meeting. I have never met a group of people so happy to get their cars fixed. I find L&D to be pretty inexpensive compared to other places and they are pretty honest. I have never known them to cut corners. Cons: They don't serve coffee while you wait, though there is a TV. I don't really drink coffee. However, I don't like just writing nice things, it gets to people's heads. Addition: A friend and fellow customer just reminded me that once I was stuck at L&D and while they were fixing the car, they gave me some of their lunch. L&D has really helped keep my car in good shape so that I can use it to get around from Court to Court.

I sat in the waiting room area and Elson worked on the issue. After a few hours my car was repaired and back to normal. I recommend them to anyone needing repairs. This is now my Go To place for any repair or regular maintenance issue I need. Steve and Elson are really nice gentlemen that explain the repair or issue and how it will be fixed. This is after calling and visiting 3 other places that were supposedly open according to google, but actually decided to stay shut - likely because it had snowed fairly heavily. Anyway, I was lucky enough to get Elton on the phone who told me to come on in for my oil change and I got there 6 minutes later. First, he cleaned the snow off my car. Offered me a seat in the waiting room in the back of the shop. After fiddling on my phone for a bit, I decided to go and check on the status and just as I stood up off the chair Elton was walking in to let me know it was done. 15 minutes, maybe, for the oil change. Synthetic for a 2024 car - was $90. Reasonable. Not do it yourself cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, no appointment, weekend, bad weather, arrive and receive service immediately, friendly. I'm literally writing this immediately after leaving because they deserve the praise. Also, there was a beautiful.. I mean absolutely beautiful Chevrolet inside the garage, I'd guess from the 80's, but it could have been late 70. Heck, it could even have been early 90's, I have no idea. All I know is 20 years ago I'd call it a piece of junk but today I couldn't take my eyes off it. Funny how that happens. Anyway, I digress a second time. Hylan Auto Repair, Elton, thank you for taking care of this chore that I've had on my todo list for 2 months longer than it should have been on there.
