A few years back, struggling massively to find someone to do a required MO Car Inspection, they really stepped up and helped out even though they were booked. More recently, my wife's car was pulling really badly and we thought it would be more than an alignment, maybe an axle or worse. Nope, just an alignment ($100) and much-needed new tires. While their tire quote was a bit higher than say, a big box store, I wanted to go with them for a few reasons. One, they're local and had been very helpful. Two, like many things these days, there was a shortage of tires due to shipping issues and whatnot, so why not knock it out? They also have done a nice, thorough job of looking over other potential car issues without being pushy at all, just as a diagnostic and heads up. One more big thing that makes this a natural spot for me: It's along the Trolley Trail, right by a city bike rental stand. Got more than an hour to kill? Ride to Waldo or Brookside for a cup of coffee. For me, I can even take it home and don't have to coordinate a ride to/from. Good spot overall that I recommend. It might be a few percentage points pricier than some I've been to, but worth it for all the reasons mentioned above.

I went to Import masters since I thought going to an independant shop would have to be less costly than taking it back to the dealership. They were even more than taking it back to the dealership. They did do a good job so ask about their costs if money is important to you.

Many thanks to Kelly, for booking our appointment (thank you for guiding us through the online program!) and checking us in; her sunny disposition started us out on a high note. And a HUGE thank-you to Jeramiah for keeping us posted on the findings during the maintenance inspection, and for his guidance in the best course of action. AND for remembering our AAA discount! :-) The best part was that we were in a bit of a time crunch as we needed the vehicle by the next afternoon. Jeramiah ordered the new part we needed right away, and the technician was able to get started on it as soon as it arrived, so we were able to pick up our car at noon that day. Thank you for going the extra mile to work with our schedule! We appreciate you! And big thanks to Brad who checked us out, and reviewed the recommendations after the maintenance and repairs were completed. His care for our vehicle was evident in his attention to detail, and was a great finishing touch to our experience. We are faithful clients of Sallas, and the excellent customer service and care for our vehicle that we received during this visit are the reasons why!

I brought my Hyundai in to this shop after my car began stalling and showing multiple engine codes…read more From the start, everything was running smoothly. What I was told would be two day repair for my timing chain turned into a month-long experience with my car sitting in the shop. Communication was inconsistent at times, and I often felt in the dark about what was really happening. The shop initially quoted me around $2,600, then revised it to $4100 and offered a $800 discount. The total ended up at $3,908. During the repair, I was told that my dowel pin had broken in the camshaft, which required additional work. I receive a text message saying my car was ready for pickup. I came paid my balance in full. Less than a hundred feet of leaving out the parking lot my check engine light was back on and problem still existed. Im thankful I caught it in time because it was a Friday and they are closed on weekends. So it would have been my word against there's when it came time with correcting the problem. When I arrived for pickup today, the shop stated they waived an additional $800 fee for a solenoid recalibration/replacement that was directly related to the timing chain work they had just performed. I feel strongly that this should have been included in the original service and not presented as an "extra" charge after I had already paid. To their credit, I really appreciated the friendliness of the two administrative assistants, who went above and beyond to help me. They provided me with a shuttle ride home when I dropped off my car, even paid for me an Uber to pick up the loaner vehicle, and made sure I had a loaner car for the month while mine was being repaired. Those accommodations meant a lot during a very long process. The shop also test drove my car for 40+ minutes before releasing it, and the check engine light has not come back on yet. I appreciate that they ultimately covered the $800 charge, but overall the experience left me questioning trust, timelines, and transparency. If you use this shop, know that while they will work with you and provide support, you'll need to ask a lot of questions, push back on extra fees, and keep good records. The repair seems to be holding for now, but the process was much more difficult and drawn out than it should have been.

I had to take the car back the next day to have it fixed. I have massive amounts of oil all over my driveway and the worst thing is, after they fixed the leak they didn't even refill my oil. I checked after I got home and it doesn't even register on the dipstick. Now I'm going to have to take my car back yet a 3rd time to have oil added. The quality of work at this place is not good!
