That doesn't happen anymore, Nicole and the rest of the team are amazing and they know they're business. My Dino came back home with what I'm calling a PHD on good manners. I knew based on my research that a good training approach needs to be individualized to the dog, and provide positive reinforcement where the dog and trainer show they are happy and engaging positively with the sessions. Diversity K9 was recommended to us by a neighbor this spring and we scheduled an evaluation with Nicole in February. During the evaluation, Nicole demonstrated extensive knowledge of dog behavior and training techniques, and she readily cited examples of strategies she uses with her own pets. Nicole reviewed Baron's history, his known behaviors, our current strategies for addressing the behaviors, and our goals for what we would like to achieve with training. She recommended the two week board and train package. Nicole or another trainer checked in with us via text with a message and a picture or video every few days to keep us updated on Baron's progress. Baron always looked like he was having the time of his life, with perky ears and a wagging tail, which made us feel confident that he was being well taken care of. We could easily see by the updates that he was making excellent progress, and when we picked him up after two weeks we were so impressed with his behavior! Nicole walked us through the training to ensure we felt confident with the techniques before sending us home, and has since checked in with us multiple times to make sure everything is going smoothly. Now we can take Baron out without him taking US for a walk, and WE are in control when other dogs are in the area. Even at 7-years-old, Baron was able to learn new "tricks" thanks to Nicole and Diversity K9!

We are able to have friends and children at our house now and going on walks is actually enjoyable. He was able to observe their behavior and talk to us about different plans. Not only did he we feel confident in what he was talking about but we felt his compassion and devotion towards our babies. This is definitely not just a job for him but a passion. We opted to board and train both of them. Lily is our 3 year old. She WAS completely out of control. Lily had become quite aggressive and many times we couldn't even walk past her without her growling and jumping at us. I had been bitten by Lily a few times just putting her harness on her (drew blood once). Outside walking her had become more than a chore. She would jump on anyone that came near us and then started barking and showing aggression towards outsiders as well. Lily was in full control of our home and lives. I was at my end. Putter is our 2 year old. I was not planning on getting any training for Putter until my husband suggested it. Putter's issues WERE his walking me and showing aggression towards any other animals. Keep in mind Putter is only 10lbs. but had no fear towards a 100lb. dog. I had thought as long as I held on to him he would be fine. All in all both were out of control. On the day Paul came to pick them up all I could do was cry and almost backed out (Thank God I didn't). Paul was amazing with keeping us updated on their progress. Over the course of the 2 week training he would text us to let us know how they were and we received many pictures and videos. We always seemed to have questions (I have to admit now some were pretty silly). Paul without hesitation answered all of them. Lily and Putter are home and for the first time in a LONG time we are enjoying them. The first couple of days we were a little nervous trying to maintain what they had learned but again Paul never let us down. They tried to revert back to their old ways but Paul trained us as well! What we also really love is Paul is not done with us. Not only is this a lifetime commitment for us but him as well. Lily has showed no signs of aggression and has stopped jumping on everyone. Putter no longer walks me and shows no aggression towards other animals. We are all so much calmer and happier now. They sit, stay, heel, place whenever asked. They are receiving positive attention now and are loving it. I can't thank Orlando Dog Wizard enough for helping us make our home happy again.

I wanted to give this place a one-star rating, but it's a fairly secure facility. Once through the…read morefront door, there's little chance your dog can escape. I recently moved to the area and needed doggy day care while I was looking for a house. This place was recommended by an employee at a nearby pet store. But, she really didn't know anything about it other than it was close by. There's a large play area at the front, observable through large windows at reception, and there's a back area that you cannot see. From what I experienced, there's no air conditioning other than at reception. That leaves your dog exposed to Florida heat and humidity for the duration of the stay. Both times I picked up my dog, he was heat stressed and physically hot. There's plenty of water and it looks like the dogs can be hosed down, but that's not enough. Smaller dogs really suffer in heat, and dogs with skin problems shouldn't be watered down. There's no place for your dog to escape when they've had enough. The other issue is they're closed for four hours in the middle of the day. I didn't notice this the first time. I showed up and there was no one around and no cars in the parking lot. I'm sure there's a way to get your dog in an emergency, but I've never seen a business model like this. Last issue, is they will shamelessly flip around the pay pad and solicit a tip...for doing their job...that they're already paid for. Of course, they're all standing around looking at you. No pressure. I tipped because I don't want them to screw with my dog, But, they're not waiters or baristas. Their job IS the service; the service isn't extra. So, if you're actively fighting against out-or-control tipping culture, this alone is enough to avoid this business. Add the lack of air-conditioning, and there's just no reason.

I brought my 11 weeks puppy for a 4 week training program to help correct his barking on crate and to potty train him. I received my puppy back at 3 weeks meaning 1 week before training was supposed to end with a broken paw because he was bitten by another dog that was supposedly with them on a training program for behavioral issues. They blame everything on the dog and behave like the episode was an accident which I can't understand because I received the call and had my puppy back bleeding at 9pm (isn't 9pm bed time already?) so how both of the dog being outside their crate at 9pm was accident I can't really picture. Anyways I managed the "accident" with all the calm I was capable of to avoid unnecessary delays on treating my dog injuries and requested them to bring him to the vet which they didn't do automatically. When she call me she asked me if I would like to bring him to the vet after when; after a dog bite the first thing to do is exactly the vet! because of the risk of infection from a bite but she seem to have no idea of how to handle the situation correctly. They did took care of the initial vet bill that included X-ray and treatment it was around 800$ only after asking me if I would like to pay and she would reimburse me after, all this on the phone since she wasn't even in town her roommate was taking care of the whole shelter while she was in vacation with her boyfriend. After that she insisted on taking my puppy back to her house and of course I refused. How can I trust a person that is supposed to care and help my pet after having my pet bitten and a paw fracture in the same facility that was supposed to be a safe space for him to be trained? Unbelievable! Well long story short I gave my dog to them with 11 weeks for training with only potty and crate issues and I had my dog back with no big difference in his behavior and an injury that I am now responsible for! He now has a cast and is under antibiotics and pain medicine for 1 month! And other than paying for the first emergency care they have done nothing, they never offer to reimburse the training program I paid in full $2500 and she also refuse to pay for any expensive treatment that was required to treat my dog paw. Saying that she would only pay as much as her insurance will cover complaining with me for having to pay from her own pocket for the first medical bill!!!! Honestly is my first time requesting professional training and I am so sad that this was my first experience and that I run into this people. I wish I would have found a real professional to help me and I am sure i would have had a much different better experience! This people say they are professional but THEY ARE NOT! Don't let them fool you!!!! They have absolutely no idea of what they are doing and THEIR INCOMPETENCE WILL BE AT YOUR EXPENSE!!!

I have so many good things to say about Natural Instincts I don't know where to begin. I recently…read moreadopted my beautiful pitbull Pepper and I wanted to keep her active, healthy, and socialized with other dogs. That's when I found Natural Instincts on a Google search and decided to give it a shot. I signed up for the agility classes. For 99$ you can attend agility class either Saturday or Sunday morning for 6 sessions. The sessions expire within 12 weeks so when Pepper had to take a break because she got spayed, it was absolutely no issue. The majority of the class is focused on doing the agility course, but they also practice other things such as proper leash walking. The owner runs the class but there are always atleast 2-3 other trainers around to help. Pepper loves agility! She is a couch potato at heart but when she's at agility class she is always having a blast running and just being around dogs. A lot of obedience classes and dog day cares unfortunately discriminate against pitbulls but at Natural Instincts they are extremely bully friendly. Oh and they always have someone with a professional camera taking amazing pics of you & your dog. It's definitely nice having all these wonderful pictures of my dog (it's not like my camera isn't already full of pics of her). I have one week left from this 6 week package but I'll definitely purchase a new 6 week pass next class.
