Adoption and then stores, from Massachusetts to the coast... the staff at bills never pressed us to buy, but always let us ask questions and play with the dogs to see if good fit. Was between this store and another in Salem, but the puppies there were violent, and temperamental. I missed out on a husky he had, but he called a breeder and got pictures of some pups, we picked a fat little boy. When he came in, we were first at the door! Even after we spent about an hour in the play area with the puppy, they never pressed, and answered questions about payment, health, vet checkups, about the breed. All the puppys here have always been the most playful and happy of dogs. Mine is the biggest cuddle bug, friendly and well behaved. So why not 5 stars? Not the biggest selection of food and toys, but what they do have is an awesome selection of well cared for dogs, tons of fish, kittens, and the fluffiest damn rabbit you every seen! Spend some time in the store, visit more than once before you make a snap choice, and you'll see how awesome of a store this is to!

My dog had many problems, which could have been avoided. We have spent thousands of dollars in the few weeks that we got our puppy and a lot of this could have been avoided if not for this rescue group's negligence. 1. Our dog came covered in fleas. He had scabs all over his body from the bites. He was not given a flea preventative treatment even though we were told that would be taken care of before he was transported to us according to the contract. Subsequently, due to flea allergies he then developed a skin infection AND ear infection a few weeks later. Our house had to be exterminated. He also developed tape worm, which dogs get from eating fleas. This ALL could have been avoided if he had been given the proper preventative flea treatment. This would have saved us a lot of money and the puppy a lot of suffering. 2. The puppy also had giardia, another intestinal parasite when we received him. According to the contract and New Hampshire law he was also supposed to test negative for this, but was not tested because "he did not show any symptoms." 3. Communication was extremely unprofessional. They would not take any responsibility for any of the issues that we had since day one with our puppy. They told me that I should "get a job" and to stop "harassing them." 4. Communication involving the transport was awful. It was extremely difficult to get any definitive answer as to when our puppy would arrive. He was supposed to arrive on a Saturday morning at 9 am. We could a phone call the Friday night before at 9 o'clock informing us they were "running 24 hours late" with no reason at all. He came instead Sunday morning with short notice. 5. I have spoken with another family who adopted our puppy's brother. This family's puppy also came with fleas and giardia. 6. I know it is difficult to know the breed of a dog when rescuing because most of the time you do not know the parents, but this group blatantly lied about our dog's breed. They told us lab/rottie mix and that the dog was going to be VERY large. I was sent 2 more pics after I had already paid and knew something was wrong because his legs were extremely short with a very long body. I inquired about this and they lied and told me it was the "angle of the camera." I said I wanted more pictures but never received any. Now that we have had our puppy for about two months, it is clear this dog is a basset hound and that he will not be a large dog. I added this complaint last because we still love our puppy unconditionally, even though he was not what he expected. I just wanted to add the last reason this group is dishonest. As you can see, there have been a multitude of problems since receiving our puppy and these problems should have been taken care of. This rescue group did not hold up their end of the deal. Unfortunately, we and our poor puppy have had to pay for it.

I don't care about her breed, although they told me she was a lab mix and turns out she is a beagle/pitbull mix. That part that bothers me is that they said my dog was going to be around 60-70lbs. I prepared for this, I bought a large crate, large bed, large toys, large food bowl, large breed puppy food. My dog is now 8 months old and weighs MAYBE 20 lbs. A vet would be able to estimate weight at 4 months so basically the vet was an idiot or they lied. The only thing I didn't end up exchanging was her food bowl.... The next thing they did was lie about her personality. Now I know puppies are all mostly energetic but as a rescue group they should be able to tell basic personality traits. I wanted a calm, laid-back dog. I got the complete opposite. She is very high energy, needs tons of attention, and is the most stubborn dog I've ever met and I still love her. Just not what I was told. The thing I am most upset about is fleas. It took me a little over a week to realize she had fleas and by that point she had already infected my two cats (who sleep in my bed) and the entire house. I had to bomb my house multiple times. Isn't basic dog care to apply flea & tick preventative. Especially when that dog is about to go on a transport bus with 50 other dogs? Like I said, I love my dog but I didn't like that I felt like I was lied to about who my dog really was.

The second they realize we're getting close to BARK CITY, they're both up at the window, tails going a million miles an hour, barking like they've just spotted their long-lost best friends. At this point, I'm pretty sure they know the route better than I do! The staff is absolutely incredible. They know Dusty and Maverick so well and treat them like family. And judging by how exhausted and happy they are when they come home, I'm pretty sure they spend the entire day partying while I'm working! What makes BARK CITY so special is everything they offer: Multiple photos throughout the day -- I get to watch my boys play, lounge, socialize, and apparently have a much more exciting social life than I do. Daily report cards -- I love getting the scoop on what they did all day. Honestly, I sometimes know more about their day than I know about mine! Live webcams -- Because apparently I need to check in on them while they're having fun without me. And yes... I do. More than once. Grooming services -- They come home clean, fresh, and looking handsome enough to make me wonder if they even belong to me! The shop -- Toys, treats, and everything a spoiled pup could possibly want. And somehow, Dusty and Maverick always seem to think they need something new. BARK CITY is so much more than daycare--it's their happy place. Sometimes I get a little fearful about a new tech grooming my dogs because I am not familiar with their work but Laura over sees all of the work they do. If she does not like the work she fixes it herself. This is the type of person that you want to be grooming your dog. So, all in all I find Ruff to Fluff to be a great place for your dog grooming needs.

Petco in Manchester - Poor Customer Service I've been…read moretaking my dog to Petco in Manchester since he was a puppy for his shots and grooming. He's now 10 years old. On October 23rd, he had a grooming appointment. Unfortunately, the groomer came a little too close with the clippers to his upper eyelid, slightly irritating the area. I sent pictures to Petco via text, and the groomer called to apologize. She offered a free grooming appointment for the next time and said the incident would be processed as a claim. When I arrived today for Coco's appointment (booked over a week in advance), the same groomer, despite the prior apology and offer of a free service, refused to groom him. She cited further liability concerns and rejected the appointment altogether, without offering any backup groomer services. This was despite knowing about the previous incident and the apology/compensation offered. It's disappointing that, despite the initial apology and promise of resolution, the groomer was unwilling to groom my dog, potentially causing further stress and inconvenience. While I appreciate the initial apology in October, the lack of a backup plan for an already booked appointment is unacceptable. Dear Petco Customer Service / Manchester Store Manager, I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding my recent experience at your Manchester location. I have been a loyal customer for many years, bringing my dog Coco there for grooming and other services since he was a puppy. When I arrived today for Coco's appointment, the same groomer, despite knowing she was assigned to Coco and having previously apologized, refused to groom him citing liability concerns. She outright rejected the appointment without offering alternative arrangements or informing me ahead of time. This was especially frustrating because I could have rescheduled or made arrangements if I had been contacted beforehand. Instead, I made a trip there only to be turned away in person. Furthermore, another groomer mentioned that Coco was not nicked during his last grooming and referred to it as a "raspberry eye," which I later confirmed that day with my veterinarian that it was a minor nick and was treatable with warm compresses. Additionally, I have had past issues with grooming at this location, including a cut that led to infection when Coco was about 5+ years old, which required veterinary care and treatment. Petco reimbursed us for the vet costs, but these incidents have caused ongoing concern. I believe staff should be trained to proactively contact customers if there are any issues or if services cannot be provided, especially for appointments that have already been booked. This would prevent unnecessary trips and inconvenience for customers. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider improving communication and staff training to enhance customer experience. When we lived in NH, Queen City AH was our vet for many years, actually ever since Dr. Comeau took the business over from the original owner. Now in Florida and the vets here dont compare, not even close. We had a goofy but extremely loveable Blue Nose Pitbull named Bullet and I remember Dt. Comeau loved to see him and he would grab his big jaws saying how much he loved him, he cared for him successfully through heartworm which was a very scary treatment and because of Bully's compromised immune system took the time to research everything to make sure it worked to cure him, he also had to deal with Bullys skin condition due to allergies which we never really got a grip on because we ended up moving to Florida and these Vets here are a dime-a-dozen and severely inexperienced with lack of empathy it seems to me anyway for the animals they "try" to treat! About a month ago Bullet was brought into a Clinic here for what seemed like was possibly a respiratory infection but also had a distended abdomen as well a lot of swelling, he wasn't eating hardly and was a bit lethargic, which we related to the possible infection but that dog always took whatever life handed him with his tail still wagging constantly! ... I won't name because it would take away from this great facilities review, (although I'd like to as to save the next persons pet from them) after X-rays and bloodwork which ruled out Melenoma the almost 1yr experienced Vet said nothing alarming to see gave antibiotics and steroids and sent him on his way, he wasn't getting better after a few days and also was now throwing up clear foamy liquid and bile so we brought him back in after the 2nd day she got an opinion from her colleagues most with same little experience as her, now her diagnosis was "Bullet has cancer, but I don't know where it's coming from." and "he only has a few days to live" which was the ONLY thing she was right about sadly 4 weeks ago he lost the fight that he every time under Dr. Comeaus care was able to come out the Champion. He passed away suddenly at home on my bedroom floor let's say you can never prepare yourself for that! I know this is a lot of info for a review but the sad outcome, and hope that Dr. Comeau may read this review to inform him of Bullet passing away, I know how much he loved Bully and also for the review I know under Dr. Comeaus care would NEVER had happened as it did, and I just want to say thank you Dr. Comeau especially, and his Staff, for caring for Bully with so much professionalism and love and we will never find another like you believe me! Anyone reading this review if you could make it through the book that is lol, you have no worries when it comes to this Veterinarian Dr. Comeau is the BEST hands down! Thank you again for taking care of Bullet and Ruby we appreciate and miss you all!

Queen City Animal Hospital provides exceptional care at fair prices. I just got my French bulldog…read moreneutered and other vets were quoting me triple what QCAH charged. I heard of them when my neighbor recommended them because they really know how to care for the bulldog breed. Winston is my first bulldog so I have heard horror stories about anesthesia and their reactions to it. The vet techs really put me at ease and took the BEST care of him. He is healing great and the stitches are exceptional and clean. Coming here is well worth the trip from Merrimack for incredible care and prices. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you for taking care of us, Dr. Comeau!
