She responded to my initial email request from their site pretty quickly and then was SUPER responsive. She came on a really short notice to meet my two cats and grab a set of my keys and I felt comfortable after meeting her - she's super friendly and nice and seems to really love cats. I had her come twice over the weekend to feed and play with them (and do some light litterbox cleaning) and she could not have been better! Each visit was $25 all in and she keeps you updated with texts and photos and even videos. It was really nice to see my cats in action while I was missing them and see how well taken care of they were. Dami even cleaned and washed their food bowls without being asked! She was super personable and a huge animal lover and I'll definitely be using her for future cat sitting visits :)

We've used Annella's Trails and Tails for the past 6 years and they are absolutely amazing!! From…read moreour first dog, Stanley (fox terrier mix) to our current dog, Bailey (sheltie mix), Annella's superior staff is unequivocally the best around! It all starts with a meet and greet, so that their team can better understand all the dynamics and nuances of your dog. From there, coordinating scheduled walks and upcoming sittings with the team are a breeze! On the day of the scheduled walk, Annella's team gives you a heads up when they're approaching soon and will also share with you fabulous pictures of your lovely furbaby during the walk. Lastly, it ends with a recap of the walk (i.e.: how they did on the walk, if they did any business (#1 and/or #2), general observations, etc.). As an added bonus, the photo quality they send is so professional that I've actually used them as my phone background! Again, you can't go wrong selecting Annella for your pet and you certainly won't be disappointed!

My favorite part of this service are the reports that get sent with a note about the walk and pictures! It always brightens up my day. I would 100% recommend this service.

5 stars does not do Farrah justice. She deserves an infinite amount of Yelp stars…read more Farrah has been our dog walker for 3 years. She is one of the most dependable and nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet. She is also a kick ass dog walker/sitter! Long weekend? Short notice? Week long vacation? Farrah never once turned down a job in the three years she worked with us. She never missed a scheduled walk either. If anything came up she would find coverage for you. My wife and I never had to worry! She spoiled us beyond belief. Most importantly though, our dogs absolutely LOVE Farrah. We are moving away from Astoria, so we will need to find a new walker. We will never take for granted how amazing Farrah has been these last few years, as no dog walker could compare. She set the bar impossibly high. Thank you for everything Farrah! We will miss you and so will Franky and Charlie, more than you know!

Ok, so there is what I observed and then what my kitten Marbles told me to type down. Ill go with…read moreme first. It's extremely difficult for me and my family to leave our precious scottish fold home alone and even harder to trust someone with our apartment keys. Word of mouth and references (yelp basically) is the only feasable way to know for sure so I yelped away and found that Farrah was at the top of her game. One after another, people are happy with her so I said if I have no choice but to trust someone with my apartment keys and to take care of our little guy, she's definately the one. Basically if everyone loves her and uses her, its someone you can trust. Now what cat marbles said about her: As you all are well aware, a cat of my pedigree and breed (scottish fold) dares not venture to a boarding place for they are all incompetent and beneath me! With that said, Farrah was a darling who came and fed me twice a day for 3 days, and played with me with endearing love. I know this because my human masters showed me daily pics of me they received from Farrah showing me happy and playful. I yearn for her again and await the next family trip where she can watch me again in the comfort of my own environment...

I adopted a dog who was being fostered by Elena. My dog was living with Elena for close to 6…read moremonths, which means she was heavily involved in Happy Tails Pet Care daily group dog walks. Elena was able to transform Goose through daily group dog walking, trips to the park, and training. This particular dog was returned to the shelter after being adopted out as a puppy, her family could not handle the amount of energy that she had. Before living with Elena, she had also been through a few fosters as well. Elena was able to completely transform Goose and make her into an adoptable dog. Elena understands dogs, and more importantly what each individual dog needs to remain happy in life. Elena's attention to detail is exemplified in her notes and videos that she sent me when I first adopted Goose. Elena taught her a bunch of tricks and important commands ("stay" being one of them). All of the work, time, and energy she put into Goose made the transition into my home flawless. If you are thinking about hiring a dog walker or getting your dog into a pack walk then call Happy Tails. Pack walks or group walks for dogs have been shown to have many benefits. Experiencing new smells is very important for dogs and has been proven to have a natural calming effect. Group walks also allow dogs to engage in natural pack behavior. Dogs also learn a lot by watching other dogs, (dogs can help other dogs by displaying calming signals) so getting your dog into an already established pack walk can help your dog develop important social skills. Happy Tails will give you reliable, professional care for your dog. Don't let your dog sit at home all day while you are at work, hire a professional and skilled dog walker like Elena!

I would definitely ask for her as the sitter or walker whenever I need them again. The reason I'm giving them 3 stars is for not offering to at least give us a discount after our dog ingested hard pieces of plastic while in their daycare with Norma. He came home and started to vomit right away and after the 3rd time he did it, I decided to take him to his vet to see if his intestines were clear - if not, his life could have been in danger. I'm glad that at least he vomited them all as seen in an x-Ray and he only needed to take some tablets for his upset stomach. I also understand that we can get distracted while taking care of a puppy, but I didn't like the fact that I spent +$300 due to someone else's distraction and wasn't offered anything to compensate it somehow and rebuild my trust. I expected more than a follow up over text.
