Loving Pet Care - On a nature walk with Lisa

Loving Pet Care

(160 reviews)

Lisa is incredible! She is our go-to for our 4 year-old goldendoodle and has been ever since she…read morewas a puppy. Our dog is very attached to us, but the minute she sees Lisa, she runs to her without hesitation. That is the best gift of all! Lisa takes the dogs to dog parks every day for exercise and socialization and sends us lots of photos along the way. Can't say enough positive things!

We were traumatized by our experience with Loving Pet Care. Our goldendoodle is our fur child, and…read morewe absolutely adore him. I told the owner that our dog had separation anxiety and could only be left for 2 to 3 hours at a time. She assured me this would be fine, and assigned a dog sitter Scott who worked from home. 3 days into our trip, we got a text that our dog was injured (self-inflicted hotspots from anxiety). I immediately asked Scott how long he had left him, and he said just a few hours. This did not add up at all for us, so my husband checked the outdoor security cameras and Scott was gone eight full hours! He outright lied to us. Since our trust had been broken, I had a family member come pick our dog up and take him to the vet. The vet called and said the staff was literally crying - they said they had never seen wounds this bad from anxiety. He had licked himself raw in so many places, it was horrific. We had to come home immediately, and forfeit our entire vacation. We have gone on vacation many other times before with sitters who did what they said they would do, and he was absolutely fine. I took months to write this review because I was too upset to deal with it. Insurance did cover lost expenses after a lengthy process, but our dog is still healing months later. I hate writing bad reviews, but we would never use this company again or recommend them to anyone.

Walk! ATX Pet Care

Our boy Mo aka Molty aka Moshi has been coming to Walk ATX since 2022. As many of you, our doggo is…read moreour family and we want only the best of the best for him. It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

I had an emergency 4th July weekend where my neighbors last minute couldn't watch my dog and was in my car leaving town. I called several places but no one was willing to watch my dog on such short notice and that last minute. I explained my situation to Angela and Avalon and the were willing to go into my and walk my dog having never met my dog( my dog is very gentle which I explained ). They even took pictures of my dog Hazel when they took her for a walk. Angela and Avalon are very response responded to my texts right away. Pleasanton dog owners should be thrilled we have such animal loving people on our neighborhood, I sure am. Thank You again so much.

This weekend, Cortney stayed in my home with my dog, Milo, and it was, again, a great experience. Cortney walked and checked on my dog thought the weekend and spent each night in my house with him. Cortney and Avalon sent me regular updates and photos giving me peace of mind during my trip. They, again, exceeded my expectations. Avalon walks Milo a couple days a week and she always takes him to fun, interesting places. She always sends photos and videos. Pleasanton Pets has always been reliable and very easy to work with. Milo and I are so happy we found Pleasanton Pets. Thank you!!

We have one little girl that is a bit difficult with people and this has been no difficulty for Nicole, she was gentle and patient and in time our little girl came around to trusting her and now looks forward to their dog walks. ( this was a chihuahua that was kicked out of several boarding facilities). I highly recommend Nicole and Cap City services!

With not much notice, Nicole helped us out and had us covered for when we needed pet sitting. She asked all of the right questions, sent us photos every day of our babies (who we missed the entire time) and let us know (because we asked) when they were being cared for. I cannot tell you how much comfort it brought us to know that people like Nicole and her team were taking care of things while we took a whirlwind trip to get away on a Holiday week. I always say-you can't put a price tag on peace of mind but it's even better when that price tag is affordable and not breaking the bank for quality care! The price is extremely reasonable for the quality of care you get here. I'll never use anyone else and I can't recommend them enough! Seriously. Look no further!
