I love this gal and the elevated personalized bowl that she made for my beloved dog, Griff. Mind you, I didn't know her...but she posted about her just-started business on Next Door a few weeks back, which is a great way to meet our neighbors. I had JUST been thinking that I wanted an elevated bowl for my boy, who will be 10 soon. It had been taking longer for him to eat from the floor and the elevated bowl has totally done the trick in helping him swallow his food. I chose the gray finish with the personalization of his name on the front. It's just perfect for my decor. There are several wood finishes available. But here's the thing....Kate is just a super gal and the minute I met her when I picked up Griff's bowl, I knew that. The process is so easy. Just get in touch, she knows which heights are best for which dogs. She is very efficient about zeroing in on what you want. She will respond to you quickly. (For some reason, that's important to me. When I get an idea in my bonnet, I want to do it, not get a response weeks later.) She does all of the work in her own garage, so this is Carlsbad made. I've seen other elevated bowls at retail places, but these are really STURDY and they stay put and personalized. The prices are reasonable and what I really loved was making contact with an enterprising neighbor and helping a local business. I don't do negative reviews. Instead, I note the positive things going on around me. I believe in shopping local. I also believe that if you have a special design request, she will do her best to accommodate you. These are works of art and unique to each pet or pets and the prices are great. I will say this....I debated whether to get dual food and water bowls and just went with the food. I wish I had done the water too, then both are available together. Oh, the stainless steel bowl is included, maybe that's obvious, but it's a great bowl. I wish Kate such great success! read more
