(I went with the leather just because my sister will be wearing this daily. But still good to know you have options!) Then she boxed it up while I looked around the rest of the store. The only thing I didn't like was that she told me the cord was in a small plastic bag inside the box, and when I went to check the length of cord (to make sure it was long enough), I noticed it wasn't in a bag, and of course she tried to correct herself. I just don't understand why you would lie about something like that...it wasn't a deal breaker, but just thought I'd mention it.

He didn't seem interested in anything I had to say about the condition of the guitar...I was deemed guilty of neglect. Although I am not an instrument repair person, I have been playing for over 40 years and know a bit about the care of instruments. He gave me three different repair scenarios ranging from extremely minor to ripping out the frets, re-planing the fretboard and of course a re-fret. But I was also told that he is not taking on any new work at the moment (fair enough). I immediately upon leaving took the guitar to a guitar builder in Reigelsville Pa. and was told that a $40.00 fret dress to allieve the sharp fret edges was all that was required. No neck issues. Plain and simple, I did not feel very welcome at Mike's store.

He and his wife yelled at my friend and threatened to call the police that I was stealing when all I wanted was my violins back. He was the one who scammed me. Not only am I angry and disappointed, but we have lost a donation to our school.

Paid to have a guitar repaired there. Was told it was fixed and the issue was not actually…read moreaddressed at all. The issue was that one of the pickups was quiet in the middle position. I was told when I went to pick it up that they couldn't find anything wrong other than a small piece of metal that they removed must have been cutting the sound out (did not test the guitar in the store just took their word). Come to find out, when I got it home, that the issue is the switch and that both pickups don't come on until the switch is midway between the middle and bridge position...you would think that when paying for a repair this is something they would figure out easily. Complete waste of money. I also asked them to take a look at a fret-buzz and they fully forgot so that was also somewhat annoying (I paid for a setup and repair). Guitar was exactly the same when I got it back down to the same exact fret-buzz. I was so dissatisfied that I refused to even drive back there to get a refund. Ultimately, untrustworthy. I believe whoever did the "repair" was deceitful to me. Now in all fairness, this was a few years back and the same people may not be working there anymore...I just thought of it again when I had to repair the exact same issues myself.
