I wouldn't recommend this pawn shop based on my experience. I had kept a pawn here for over five years, paying nearly $300 every 90 days on a $1,000 ticket. Recently, I asked for just one extra day to make the payment and was told no--the item was forfeited. I'm devastated because the pieces had deep sentimental value, and I had already paid thousands over the years. I expected some flexibility or goodwill given my long history as a customer, but the response felt rigid and unsympathetic. Policies are policies, but a single-day grace period for a longtime, on-time customer didn't seem unreasonable. If you decide to use this shop, get their grace-period policy in writing and don't expect exceptions--even for loyal customers. read more

I enjoy browsing the local pawn shops to see if there are any deals or interesting finds. I have been to almost every shop in the Valley of the Sun and this one is hands down the W O R S T. The older dude is the most rude and unfriendly person I have ever experienced in my life. He will barely life his eyes up from the computer to help you out. When you inquire about price- or try to even make an offer- they will tell you that they don't care if you buy it or not. Real great customer service tactic. My first experience here was pretty bad, but the other two have been equally bad- if not worse. I will definitely never set foot in this shop again or recommend them to anyone in the area. Came here to sell a perfectly fine working keyboard with its stand that was in great condition that I had bought for $80 with batteries inside of it tried to sell it for at least $40-$60. The guys were great they acknowledged me when I walked in. I went there to purchase a firearm. I was asked for my id in which I had no problem with. In addition I showed my CCW card. The dealer was very happy with that. There was a process in which I was in no rush. The guys were professional and Courteous. Extremely disappointed with pawn now. Back at the end of Feb 2020 I pawned my shotgun, a about a week later I left town to work out for town to Dearborn MI ( Ford Motor ) after getting to MI I was told they we closing my work down and I woundnt be able to travel home till it wAs safe to travel. I completely forgot about pawned item. After getting home a couple days a go I call today about seeing getting my gun back since it defaulted.... not at any fault of my own. I was told that they have my gun and they wanted double what I pawned it for. This is really sad. I would never recommend a shop that has a "policy" of making you drive to them to find out how much they pay per ounce or gram for gold and silver. That's stinks of the car dealer mentality of once you've taken your time to come to them, they have you where they want you and typically will offer much less than their competitors. read more

Extremely dishonest. Sold me an untested product, and because they have me a discount on it they said they wouldn't take it back when it turned out to be defective. One guy said he was the manager then same guy said he was the owner, when I went in and talked to him another guy cut into our conversation and said he was the owner... So the two of them have a "policy" they claim to be held to but they have no authority to do the right thing and make it right, even though they both claim to be manager and/or owner. I couldn't even negotiate for store credit. If an item is defective, they should have the ethics to at least give credit --EVEN IF the item is discounted, it's pretty dishonest to sell something that can't be tested and say "as is no returns." read more

Unfortunately they are very difficult to do business with. I offered to buy and guitar which sells for $829.00 new and $150 for a case at Guitar Center. I made them a low offer to get a counter and make a deal. I'm 64 years old and have bought from Pawn Shops since I was 16 years old. Recently moved to AZ and was hoping to find a place to do business with. They lack customer service skills and selling skills. And I think they pull figures out of thin air without doing any research. I don't usually write reviews but after reading the reviews here and with my experience...I'd avoid doing any business with these people at least until they understand the value of earning a loyal customer for life. Good Movie Deals and Friendly Service I stopped in yesterday on my rounds of pawn shops searching for DVDs and Blu-ray's like I do every few months. The woman who is the manager here is super friendly and the prices on the movies are also really good. Rarely do I ever take the time to negatively review a business but this company would honestly deserve -5 stars. First the overweight woman who I'm assuming is the manager there will do her best to make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Speaking about a customer as if they weren't there and making up her own pricing despite the fact that all merchandise there was clearly marked and priced. I was there to purchase an item they had advertised on Craigslist. Despite the fact that I was working with another sales member there, she would constantly insert herself into our conversation, incessantly adding demands or negotiations which were unnecessary or unwarranted. Finally upon closing the deal, once again she decides to add a caveat of one per person completely stopping me from purchasing 2. Fine, I call my brother to purchase the second item. He arrives 5 minutes later to purchase. However she refuses to sell it and says its been sold already! Really, sold while I've been standing there?! I can see the items on the shelf. I'd have more of a time believing she ate it. But despite the fact that we were able to call her out on her lie, she still refused to sell it. I've never encountered a business that did not want to make money. But the fact that I was able to witness her shady practices first hand deserves a warning to all. STEER CLEAR OF THIS OUTFIT! They are dishonest and unethical. If they are this bad when trying to buy, I can only imagine how awful they are on pawns. Go to superpawn, much better customer service! read more

PAWNNOW is the best Pawn shop and shopping center throughout the whole State of Arizona.The staff here is amazing. You wouldn't believe the deals you're able to receive when purchasing products from this PawnNow location. There's nothing too big nor small that they aren't able to have a solution for. Fraud! Do not do business with this place. My Rolex was stolen and was in police custody for two years. I agreed to have it released to Cameron who said I would have first right of refusal to purchase it back. That never happened after numerous calls and visits. I finally confirmed they had sold the watch from under me and never gave me a chance to get it back. They kept dodging me stating there was paperwork involved and that they would notify me. Purchased my handgun here. They were very nice and since I came in when they first opened I got to look around. They have not only a lot of awesome firearms but there is a lot of jewelry and tools there as well. There were two of the same handguns I wanted to purchase and the owner made sure I got the new one not the used one (both were the same price) as I did not know they had two of the same handgun I wanted.
