We've learned that (especially with a large dog) you've got to call a couple of months in advance to get a spot on their calendar because they are always booked far out. They also have a cancellation list where they'll call you if someone cancels or if a spot opens up on a certain day/week you want to take your dog in! We've taken advantage of that once or twice. My partner and I have crazy work schedules that change frequently, and even when they're on the full side, Lori and her staff always help make it work to help us get her in on a day we're able to drop her off. That really means the world to us. We stick to a pretty simple cut for our dog, but Lori and her staff do some amazing grooming! Her prices are fair and competitive, and they always adorn our pup with some cute bows (last time a pretty flower necklace) when we're picking her up. The work they do here is great, AND they take wonderful care of our dog. We can't imagine going anywhere else!

Freeman is extremely dependable; I know I can always count on him. I feel comfortable about leaving town with Freeman on the job. If needed, he can transport the dogs. Exceptional care for my sweet Shadow!…read more When my kitty Shadow suddenly threw up seven times, I was in full panic mode -- but Walnut Creek Animal Hospital & Pet Resort got us in right away. From the moment we walked in, it was clear Shadow was in loving hands. She had recently been spayed there, and instead of being afraid, she pranced in like a celebrity -- clearly remembering how well she'd been treated before. Dr. Mackenzie Deviney came in and it was instant mutual adoration: Shadow rubbed, head-butted, and kissed her like an old friend. After x-rays showed a possible constriction, Dr. Deviney recommended a same-day barium test to follow Shadow's digestion from start to finish (yes, from intake to...outtake). The team kept me updated throughout, and when Andy picked her up, we were relieved to hear her intestines were back to normal size and the constriction had resolved. They even gave her anti-nausea meds to help with the vomiting. Shadow came home calm, bandaged with a dainty pink wrap on her little shaved leg, and promptly curled up on the bed like nothing had happened. She was never anxious, never scared -- and for this furmom, that means everything. The care, compassion, and love from the entire team were truly above and beyond. Thank you to Dr. Deviney and the amazing staff -- Shadow and I are forever grateful.
