I asked if she could groom my doodles on the weekend, and proceeded to complain about how she would need them there early because they take forever. We discussed service needs with Shelley prior to our appointment, provided pictures of our pup (from all angles), and she shared pricing with us. She was rather short with me on the phone, but I wrote it off as her just being busy...and because her place had several positive reviews. We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment, and after a very unpleasant exchange with Shelley, my son and I decided not to leave our pup with her. I was surprised by her argumentative and hateful tone. Additionally, she told us that our pup was not a Border Collie / Aussie mix, and that our vet's DNA results were wrong. My son and I sat in the car with our pup trying to wrap our heads around how we were just spoken to, and treated. We were taking our pup on a long roadtrip to Michigan, and really needed to have her groomed/de-shed. We drove to Bark on Main, and they worked our pup into their busy schedule the very same day. This lady is crazy. Will change the price she quotes you several times and you won't actually know how much you're going to pay for a groom until you pick your pet up. Price quoted was about $150+ MORE than any other local groomer. I decided not to have my dog groomed there due to feeling she was dishonest and decided to take my pet and leave. She is aggressive and unprofessional when you question her changing the pricing. There are many groomers in Norman to take your pet to that are WAY less drama. Stay away from this one. read more

Really pleased with all of our grooming experiences at Pretty Puppy Parlor. We have 3 dogs: a small terrier mix (6-7 pounds), a golden retriever (65 pounds) and a young (and growing) Great Pyrenees (90 pounds). All 3 come out great after their grooming visits. The owner is very quick to respond to communications requesting appointments. She may not always have availability exactly when you want, but that is a price of success and quality: she's busy. She never fails to get us in within a week of our request. I have seen a couple of complaints regarding pricing. PPP is not the cheapest groomer in town, and while I have not visited all of them, I would wager it is also not the most expensive. If it is a few bucks more than a competitor the service is well worth it. We drive past several other groomers that are closer to our home to get to PPP. We will continue to frequent this business for as long as we have dogs and it's open. Very pleased and highly recommended. read more

My daughter recently took our dog to college with her. She located this groomer on Yelp. I have never seen a worse grooming in my life. This dog is 13 years old and has been groomed about once a month. This groomer stated that she was unable to groom Peanuts face which was one of the primary reasons for taking her today. Not only did they not groom her face but the back area, the only area they cut, was choppy and uneven. Her tail wasn't brushed and I don't think from the looks of it that they even bathed her. When asked for a discount due to them not being able to provide the service they said they could do, we were told no. So for $56.00 we paid for this. read more

THE WORST EVER! If you want to be overcharged and many hidden fees go here and spend your money. This lady assumes on your dogs weight but doesn't have a scale. Decent booking process but kind of expensive for not getting much. I took my dog twice and my puppy can be timid around other dogs and there were a lot of dogs in there, even two dogs roaming around without leashes. My dog was also very thirsty and panting when I picked her up. I've seen her do a lot of great work on other animals, just not very personable with me, maybe I just had bad luck. read more

The very professional team have good protocols setup to deal with Covid. I love that they text me about 2-3 hours after I take them. The first time I took my dog there they did a decent job. Yesterday I took my dog there and her cut is very ragged and uneven. There was even a spot so uneven that they pointed it out themselves. I also don't think they took her out at all or allowed her to drink water or go potty. read more

I wanted to go to a place where the money was second and the care was first. I saw that at Pretty Puppy Parlor in Moore Oklahoma. I was really shocked honestly at the attention to detail that the groomers had. My pets seemed happy afterwards. The prices were reasonable, and the place was clean despite the dirty jobs they have. I have been using this specific groomer for 3 years. At the beginning, they were an amazing small business that really did care for their customers. However slowly their customer service has become more hostile than anything else. When I took my dog for a grooming service, one of the groomers came up and mentioned that he was too matted and they wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I was so taken back by her tone and demeanor that I thought she was joking. I am all for suggestions in ways I can keep up with my Samoyed, however the manner in which groomers shame you and essentially scold you is uncalled for. Not to mention, the fact that the groomer suggested shaving my Samoyed really says how knowledgeable they are. Shaving should be the last resort for a double coated dog. To make matters worse, when I picked up my dog, the price went from an average of $70 from previous months to now $109. When I asked why the price had increased so much, especially when previous months I paid $60, $69, $74, and $69, the groomer just called out the prices with no interest to really explain. If you decide to bring your dog to this groomer, I really hope you have a better experience. I will definitely be taking my Samoyeds to Bark On Main where they have better customer service. read more
