I think Annie's Ruff House is a super cool place. I wish I lived closer to Norman so I could take advantage of their services more often. I recently went out of town for a week and I needed a place to take my very active dog. She loves socialization and I knew a kennel would not be a great place for her. I loved that you have to have a demeanor test for your dog before you can schedule day care or boarding. I felt safe knowing that they screened other dogs to make sure they weren't aggressive. I think it was really cool that they put them in play groups depending on their size and activity level. There were a lot of things for the little dogs to play on and a nice big area for them to run outside. They have pools for them to play in the water if the weather is nice. The owner is very nice and the staff was very helpful and didn't get annoyed when i called several times to check on my furbaby. They were honest and told me my dog wasn't eating well the first day, but reassured me that was very normal. When I called the next day they told me she was doing much better and was eating normally again. They definitely could have just left that out but, I appreciated that they told me the truth. Of course she was happy to come home, but I think she really enjoyed being there. read more

We started going to Annie's back in 2020 and have always had a fantastic experience with the team. They underwent new ownership late last year, and it's just a great as it was when we first started going! The front deck team has always been great, and they've consistently taken care of us. We've recently moved away from the area, and will be sad that our dog Boz won't be attending Annie's anymore, but highly recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare/boarder for their dog! read more

Honestly, I can not stress this enough, my sister dropped off her dog here a few days ago and when I picked her up, I had a rude awakening. The girl at the front desk was very clearly upset and kept slamming things, and the dogs in the back were barking like they were all VERY stressed. I love supporting small businesses and have heard that that the owner of this establishment... I believe her name is Sarenta or I'm not sure but something like that (my sister only said it once) also now owns my favorite custard place in Norman (it used to be called rustees I'm not sure anymore and honestly I don't care at this point) I used to LOVE taking my nieces there on weekends and I'm not sure when the owners changed but OH MY LORD the people who work there I kid you not are EXTREMELY rude all of a sudden, I do not understand how that place went from a nice summer spot to an awkward and uncomfortable setting in a span of months, but here we are. I also happened to notice the trash can is not even locked up and is just sitting there and even my friend who is financially struggling right now is NEVER able to actually get pet food from the so called "pet food pantry" outside. I am very disappointed honestly. I really wanted to like this place but not only did my sisters dog come home with HUGE ticks ( I will say only about 2 ) the overall "energy" in that building is uncomfortable. Also the location could honestly be better as there were carts and lots of strange objects (a chainsaw I kid you not) that seemed to be left by people around. Also THE FENCES if I had left my dog there he would have escaped almost IMMEDIATELY, there are so many pieces of fences or the gate just 'fixed' with plastic or even just another piece of fence. And I know not much can be done about this but the parking lot honestly sucks and the 'please do not park on the grass' sign is irritating when there's apparently always a black truck parked RIGHT next to it ON the grass (accord first my friend had found this funny but now it's clearly an employee vehicle just who does not think it applies to them) not to mention the knots her dog had received and the mud stuck her her skin even after receiving a 'wash off' and certainly not least her dog has had these really bright green eye snot coming out of her eye since she came back, it's to the point where we are taking her to the VET tomorrow morning. And again with the front worker that person seemed so ridiculously annoyed and stressed out, she kept a saying things like 'sorry we typically only have a few people here' and just overall so much bullshit I was done the second she said that for the tenth time. So to whoever is in charge please just get your shit together. And whoever that girl that came up front to help the other girl is, you do NOT need to be looking at your fellow employees like they are irritating you, and overall with you the door was only halfway closed and me and the man standing in the lobby with me could see you and that other worker laughing around and whispering while the front desk was STRESSED. She had to go back and get you to come help and when you did you looked at that poor girl like she had just ruined all your fun. GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER PEOPLE PLEASE. I know the owner of that coffee place is linked to this one too I believe and honestly that place the couple times I have been is WONDERFUL and NOTHING like these two. So please. Just get your shit together. I will NOT be sending my dog here and I am thankful I never did and neither will my sister anymore. We will be finding another place in Edmond. Thank you. read more

One of the worst daycare/boarding experiences I have had in 20 years. Poor customer service, brought home a wet dog that they "attempted" to give a bath by basically wetting her down, soiled. My dog proceeded to vomit shortly after bringing her home as well. I do not understand the high ratings for this day care, unless they had family, friends and employees fill out their ratings to boost their score. Very unhappy experience and would never recommend to anyone who genuinely cares for their pets. read more

I've been taking my seven month old Australian Shepherd puppy to Annie's for a month now and she and I love it.!! They are always so happy to see her and welcome her with open arms.!! I was nervous the first time because I had never did a daycare for a dog my seven year old always just stayed with my parents but they put my mind at ease by telling me what would happen in her day and giving me a tour.!! Dogs went to Annie's EVERY DAY for months and LOVED IT. We loved the customer service and great attitude of employees... then we moved to Austin and am having the worst time finding anything near as good as Annie's. We mourn the loss of Annie's. My dog has been going for day care and has boarded at least a couple of times in the last six months. The staff have all been excellent with him and my dog is so excited when he knows he is going to Annie's Ruff House. When I had health problems they were able to board him at short notice. It is really a great asset for Norman. I have enjoyed seeing him on their Facebook videos and knowing he is cared for and safe and happy. I have recommended Annie's to friends without hesitation. They do a wonderful service for the dogs and their lucky families. read more

Both of my fur babies, Buck and Dolly, love Annie's. I was taking them to another park in Norman and Dolly, the wiser of the two, just didn't like it. I had to fight her to just get her in the car. With Annie's the start getting all excited the minute I turn on the last road to the Front door. Buck will run behind the counter and greet whomever is there and Dolly will set at the front gate and howl till they let her back. Dolly can sometimes be a hand full as she doesn't like others to get in her air space. They've been very patient with her and, whatever they're doing, she's really turned around. I can only afford to take them one day a week but they are not only excited to see their friends but are so tired when they come home that they sleep all night with no interruption. The staff is friendly and seems to genuinely love the pups. They have a great yard for them to run and play, with real grass, not turf. I've boarded them once for a long weekend and they were very open to their special feeding needs as well. Can't say enough good things about them. read more

Annie's is Disneyland (with love and snuggles) for doggies! My dog Oliver, a rescue, had three issues when he first came home: (1) separation anxiety (with highly-destructive attempts to "break out" of the house); (2) high energy levels; and (3) significant social needs for time with other dogs and/or children. Annie's turned out to be the answer. He is so excited when we arrive that he can barely contain himself, jumping, wiggling and barking. He comes home happy, smiling, and conks out right away. The other days of the week, when he doesn't go, he is much more contented, able to relax and enjoy "downtime." I can't recommend Annie's highly enough. They are loving, conscientious, full of integrity, highly-knowledgeable. I truly believe they help keep dogs and their families/guardians together. read more

I'm not saying my dog can do algebra, but he is pretty darn close and he says this place is absolutely top shelf. My boy, Cash the German Shepherd Dog, absolutely loves Annie's Ruff House and literally starts whining and crying as we drive up because he can't wait to go inside and see what friends he will get to play with on the stay. He rushes in as if I'm chopped liver waving goodbye... "See ya later, Cash." The staff is great, and I have no doubt my dog is well cared for here. That peace of mind is nice. We used to board at another place in Norman, but Cash started to become quite vocal about his displeasure in being dropped off there. He's a very friendly dog, but something was not right about how he was being treated at this other establishment that will remain nameless for now, and he let me know about it. We made the switch to Annie's, and I'm so glad we did! Rather than a negative experience (like that at our last kennel), Cash thinks he's going to Disney world whenever he gets dropped off. They have regular boarding and day care, and the prices are good for what you are getting. Cash endorsed and highly recommended. read more

First of all before I say anything else the people that WORKED here seemed very nice and kind. The women at the front desk was extremely concerned that I was upset with my visit and tried her best to make me feel better while I was there and I appreciate that. With that being said, I brought my dogs in for their free evaluation to see if they got along with other dogs for doggy daycare while boarding. My smaller dog passed but my bigger dog was not ok with the other dogs she was introduced to (in their words "The more dogs we added the more growly and defensive she got.") Naturally they removed her from group for her safety and the other doggies safety, and I commend them for that, safety FIRST! My review is because on their take home review form (for my dog that did not pass) they said as the day went on she became more and more stressed out and they never contacted me at any point to let me know she was getting to stressed out. (In their words "She became very stressed in kennel as the day progressed" and under stress level on their form " DANGER TO DOGS OWN HEALTH" was marked and yet I was never contacted). On my way home from pick up I was still extremely upset when the business owner contacted me. At first she was trying to make sure I was ok, trying to explain how things were there, and then after a few minutes of back and forth of her trying to make sense of why I was so upset ( I was crying on the phone because I was so frustrated) she seemed to go on the attack saying I was "acting extremely irrational", that "dogs are just dogs, NOT children", and she laughed at me because I was upset. I not so nicely said my Good bye at that point and hung up. If you still would like to try their services then I sincerely hope your experience is better than mine. I hope they fix these errors and handle upset customers better in the future. But keep these things in mind if you go: 1) If you call (even during their given hours online) to check on your dog(s) and they don't answer (which they won't, I called three times but admit I didn't leave a message because I thought my dog was ok. No news is good news was not true in this case) then be sure to leave a message or you won't hear anything about your dog. 2) Let them know if you wanted to know if your dog(s) didn't pass (This one is on me, I should have asked them to call me for this) 3) If they deem your dog(s) is dangerously stressed they won't tell you this until you go to pick he/she/them up, they won't call you so be sure to ask them to. 4) If you don't see your dog (or in my case my second dog) on their members web cam, blast their phone or go there to find out where your dog is. Don't do what I did and wait until the pick up time to find out how it's going. read more
