I have been coming to this plan since I was 12 years old... I'm 57 now and I might be feeling nostalgic... but I have to give props... Connecticut, to my knowledge, is the ONLY state you can order a 'Grinder'... I used to eat their meatball grinders at least 1-2x a month. I have to say it was just alright. I felt like we waited quite a while for both our drink and food orders to finally come out. Our waitress was great, she did a good job of keeping our orders/tickets straight and it's not her fault that the food took so long. I had the Chicken Philly Wrap with Steak Fries. The fries had absolutely no seasoning on them whatsoever, not even salt. I kept adding salt and pepper and felt like I could never make them taste good. First time eating here... and unfortunately it did not go well. We were greeted nicely and seated immediately, then ordered drinks. I ordered Pinot Noir and husband ordered a Pepsi. He got his Pepsi, then I ended up with Pinot Grigio... Since I was having red sauce did request the Pinot Noir I had ordered. They did bring the Pinot Noir. Then on to the food, I ordered the Zesty Alfredo and husband ordered the House Stromboli with extra cheese. After more than 35 minutes our orders finally arrived. We weren't overly concerned about how long it took, since we knew it was being made fresh, however, the Stromboli was NOT the House Stromboli, but a cheese (only) Stromboli with extra cheese. Ugh. Not good and not at all what was ordered. We let the waitress know that is not what we ordered, but did not want to wait another 35 minutes for the correct order. She let us know that it was her fault and we weren't charged for the House Stromboli. Not exactly the point here. At the very least we should've been credited for the extra cheese, cuz that was a horrible addition to a cheese Stromboli. My Zesty Alfredo was fantastic! Though my husband is in no hurry to go back, if we do, I'll definitely get the Zesty Alfredo again. Mistakes do happen, but to get half our order completely wrong, isn't acceptable. read more

2.25.21 I was here a few months ago in November. I tried a pizza and a meatball parm grinder. While I can't say they were horrible, I can and will say that they're not that great. Let's leave it at that. They were nice. The place looks clean. Parking is ok. There was a nice toast on the bread for the grinder. But it was just sort of ok. Almost ok. Just meh :( Tried a sausage pizza also and the same.It was meh :( Both the pizza and the grinder had no pizzazz. Both of them were bland and basic. Lacking in flavor and taste. Needless to say I had to do what I don't like to do. I had to waste food and throw it away. I didn't finish either of the items. Sorry to say but that's where it ended up. You never know until you try. I'm sure they try hard and mean well but they aren't hitting it. But a pass on returning to this place. As you can see from my reviews I'm a big pizza person!! Pavillion Pizza is a great place to grab an xl cheese pizza there are 24 slices in it for only $15 can't beat that for pizza night !! The sauce is on the sweeter side but I love that, the cheese to sauce ratio is very well done also. We just ordered takeout and it was ready in the usual 20 minutes the staff was very nice and kind we also ordered buffalo wings which my son loved and their chef salad is out of this world the meats were so fresh. The inside was also very nice there was plenty of seating they were a bit crowded but there was still plenty of space and everything was done in ample time. 1st time ordering from Pavilion Restaurant. My wife had a chicken parm dinner, I went with a 12 inch meatball grinder. Total was $23.88 I appreciate that Pavilion makes their own meatballs, almost all the Italian places in the area use frozen. But, I still thought the meatballs were bland tasting. Bread was fresh though. My wife liked her chicken parm -- better than most chicken parm dinners we've had locally. Overall, a decent takeout experience at Pavilion Restaurant in Bristol tonight. I've been wanting Pavilion for quite some time now so tonight was the night. We ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and the House Special. Also ordered some Jersey Cheese Fries with Chili. Ordered all this through Seamless so we can get it delivered. Good service but much like the other delivery services really expensive. $5 delivery and about $12 for extra "fees". Then about $10 in driver tip. So overall pretty pricey in the end. Either way I accepted it and put the order in. The pizzas were fantastic. The sauce is top notch and from what I was reading is made in house. Really impressed by that considering this is very rare to find pizza restaurants making their own sauce. Thumbs up Pavilion! The crust was not burnt but the whole pizza was cooked well. Toppings stayed on the pizza and everything tasted fresh with lots of flavor. Over did it a bit on the mushrooms but that was ok. No issues with the meat lovers. The Jersey Fries came without Jersey and without chili... even though I was charged for it. Someone needs to slow down to complete the order accurately. Finally, there was no notification that the food was delivered. I won't be taking any stars off the review for this but the food ended up sitting on the porch for 20 minutes because the driver never texted me, knocked, rung the bell or so much as honked the horn to let us know he had delivered. Pretty upsetting considering the amount of tip they were receiving and the cost of the service. Get it together Seamless drivers. Overall I'm pleased with Pavilion. Will return but next time I'll pick up the order and skip the extra fees and incompetency of the Seamless driver. read more

We just moved to Bristol, and we have been enjoying trying out different restaurants... Someone suggested Pavilion, and we are so glad they did.. The sauce is delicious. Great texture, amount of spice and rich. The garlic bread arrived at the table with tangy garlic and butter, crispy, and hot. Salds had a tangy Balsamic Dressing We dived into an order of Lasagna and Eggplant Parm, and had enough to bring home. Delicious! On Friday 12.20.19, we order Fried Shrimp dinner, a Chicken parm dinner n a Chicken Cutlet grinder. The chicken cutlet grinder was actually a Frozen Chicken patty. A friend of mine swears by the steak sandwiches at Pavilion, and now I know why. For $5 you get get a "small" sub that is actually HUGE! 8 inches to be exact. The bread is fresh and perfectly toasted, the steak is piled high, and you can request roasted peppers, onions, and American cheese. I also got a side of fries for around $3 and I got about a pound of them. There are six draft beers including Long Trail, Sam Adams, and the normal Bud/Bud light... Prices are around $3 for a glass or $9 for a pitcher. Not bad at all. In terms of logistics, you seat yourself when you walk in. There were a lot of tables full and only two waitresses. Prepare for the slowest service you will ever experience in your life. Seriously. Plenty of parking in back. Interior was definitely outdated but I dug the teal paint and paisleys. Went at 6 PM on a Tuesday. Was there for over 25 minutes when they finally took our order. Did not get out of there till after 7:30 PM. I don't get why they only have 2 waitresses (one of which was very inattentive) when the place is full top-to-bottom. The only reason I dealt with the shoddy service was because the pizza has a good reputation. I can say that it wasn't worth it. The crust was almost TOO sweet, and unlike anything I've had before. I have been going to this restaurant for years, I recently returned back to my roots of Bristol, Ct. after 7 years in the US Navy, unfortunately I have a service dog now. We walked in and did what is normal Hunter my Golden Retriever went under the table as trained. The owner harassed my son, saying "you don't have to hide the dog, I can smell it", I explained she was a service dog he told me to leave with my son after yelling at me in front of other customers. I left absolutely distraught and in tears, This is my thanks for doing my duty!!! Great pizza place! Their chef salad is by far my favorite thing from there. The meat and cheese are rolled up and it's just delicious. Their eggplant pizza is also a favorite of mine. And their steak and cheese grinders are fantastic!!! I usually take my food to go but if I have a chance I enjoy eating there because it's small and cozy. read more

Overall, a fairly decent restaurant. At least some of the appetizers are bought in rather than made from fresh, but the pizza (especially their specialty pizzas) are delicious. The wait staff rarely seems happy to have customers, though, so eating via takeout is your best bet. read more
