    Fresh pav, butter loaded
    Suraj T.

It is so good to see someone going above and beyond to recreate mumbai pav bhaji and vada pav....the owner makes his own Pav which was very good...we tried both masala and normal butter pav (what you get everywhere else in USA is a "bun")he makes his own masala...he served us hot vada pavs and gave fried salted mirchi(india style) ...vada pav and the red chutney served was super tasty...pav bhaji came loaded with butter and was made fresh....the owner is trying his best to serve everything on time and fresh Few suggestions for the owner if you are reading this: 1. Put a little less turmeric in vadapav, everything else is super 2. Put little less tomatoes in pav bhaji 3. Please use Amul Butter if you are not

A super friendly and nice chef! Recently discovered this Mumbai spl food truck serving vada pav pav Bhaji and some cutting chai. Came here at 8:45pm and the potato mash for the vada pav was over. The owner was super sweet to make a fresh batch of vada pav for us. Pav Bhaji- the masala pav was buttery and mildly spicy- yummy! The bhaji ( another name for mixed and mashed vegetables concoction with aromatic Indian spices)- the bhaji was okay.. I felt there was something missing in the bhaji. (Or a little too much tomato) The vada pav on the other hand was wow - very good portion size (very Texan) Since we were the last ones waiting in our food the owner made some Masala chai for us - loved it! He was kind enough to not add sugar in the chai :) Overall - if u are missing Mumbai vada pav highly recommend this food truck !

Delicious and authentic. Call beforehand and order. Also be ready to come twice as he may be out of power, fryer is broken or anything else, then just ask him to call you back when it's ready :) overall great experience despite challenges, will definitely come again!

So this is a very hit or miss place to get your grub. First off you can't just show up at the location and expect to order your food on the spot. Neither it is posted anywhere that order ahead. So if you really want this food then order ahead and hope that he is serving the food that day. I have called a few times and just to find out that he is closed since there was fire or his stuff got stolen out of the truck. Moving forward from all the drama this past Friday was my lucky day and I was able to order ahead and pick up my food in the evening. He only serves one thing but he does it good. Food was excellent and tasted authentic. I am taking 2 stars off simply due to the whole ordering process and lackluster customer service. Other than that good is good. I will go back as long as I can get the food

Hands down the best Vadapav I've had in the U.S.! It is not a bun, it is the original Mumbai style pav, sukka (dry) chutney, and green chillies on the side. Imi, the owner, makes everything in house which is the beauty of it all. If you want to reminisce the good old days or really know how vada pav is originally made in Mumbai look no further. I hope more and more folks can discover this place. Imi has limited curated items -pav bhaji and vada pav- simple, authentic and just made the way they should be. Also, Imi is so down to earth and a great conversationalist! Definitely a 10 star for this treasure troin Austin from my side!

So freaking good. I didn't eat there but brought it home. 20 mins later the Vada Pav was still delicious. Cant wait to go back. My dad who was born and raised in Mumbai approves.

Best Pav Bhaji I had in recent time. It's simply awesome, best in Austin. I have been visiting to this place owners previous food joint - Chicken Lollipop from past 4 years. It used to be in Braker lane and then moved to Chikon Street in downtown. He used to prepare best Chicken Lollipop and Shawarma wrap. Even Vada Pav used to be great. I highly recommend this place!!

There was one customer waiting, and not another person. I waited about ten minutes. My son loves chicken Tikka masala, so we ordered him some. It is spicy. I'm into a moderate spice, and this is burning my lips as I type. There was no option when ordering online to determine level of spice so we weren't ready for that. Beyond the spice the chicken was tough, so even if the spice was toned down the chicken wasn't great. The tandoori chicken is nice and flavorful and tender. $17 for three drumsticks and two thighs might be a bit steep. Overall not an overwhelmingly good experience.

My server was very attentive bringing me a menu to the table and offering me water to drink. She was very friendly and personable. Only one person came into the restaurant while I dined there. He was getting his food to do. Otherwise, it was extremely quite with virtually the entire restaurant to myself. I was having a early lunch. Overall, very chill environment.

The butter chicken didn't disappoint, just as good as last time. I asked for advice for a dish that was NOT rich or to spicy. The masala that I received was very spicy and there was so little meat, mostly bones in my bowl, perhaps 1-2 oz of mutton. We asked for some chai, with the milk on the side. We were served first coffee, which we had to ask to be exchanged, then the tea was good, but was served with the milk in, not on the side. Very, very small drink, tasty but definitely not worth the price. Perhaps our requests were lost in the loud environment or the translation, but they need to work on that. This is how our experience faired. Food : excellent cuisine with great flavor and unique takes on dishes. The servings were quite plentiful for the price. The only one that we felt missed the mark was the vada as though it tasted good, the level of sweetness was too much when you are eating savory dishes as well. So we give it 4.5 Stars. Ambiance: I would have to say that the ambiance is average at best. Nothing to write your parents home about, nothing really unique or memorable about the tables or decor. 3 Stars Service: servers and staff were very nice but service seemed very disjointed and confusing. You would have a server come and take your order but then they could not take your orders for drinks, someone else had to come and do that. Service also was very slow. We never got a refill of water the entire time we were there nor did anyone ask if we needed anything else. Also we were given only small square napkins that you can literally go though 10 of those with Indian food so cloth napkins would be a better option. We also had to ask for plates and even waited 12 minutes to cash out after requesting the check. 2 stars Other: they were out of ingredients to make the majority of drinks on their menu which is unheard of. 2 Stars Service In summary this restaurant has the capability of being something really special but they need to really step up their game and clean up and fix quite a few things. I don't know too many people who would find our experience acceptable. Having very good food is not enough. The chef has worked in a Michelin-starred restaurant (Semma in NYC) before, but that doesn't mean they cater to everyone's tastes. There's a lot of hype on social media and posts of some celebrities visiting the restaurant. It's great to see all that. Well, celebrities also visit grocery stores and small businesses all the time. That doesn't mean anything to what is offered by the business (IYKYK). There are other factors that are more important in providing a great experience when you visit a restaurant: Food presentation: The presentation of food is great!! It's not a mound of rice or a bowl of curry. It's presented artistically. You will notice the difference when you see it. Food taste: Food presented well doesn't necessarily taste well. You will know this the moment the food touches your taste buds. All the items tasted meh. Nothing to write about. Nothing to talk to anyone about. Nothing that deserves going back the second time. Healthy cooking can also produce tasty food. This restaurant is the opposite of that. Service: It's the same as any other average restaurant in the city. Waiters wait tables; you serve your own water. Slow when busy...the usual average restaurant service that is not bad, not great. Ambience: Simple and serves the purpose. Just some tables and chairs you eat on. Tables are close to each other, with nothing fancy in terms of the ambience. You can see the street through glass windows and doors. Value: Every item is overpriced. It almost seems like they want to make as much profit as they can before going out of business. There's nothing else that justifies the price (even after considering they use organic ingredients). Health: For a restaurant that takes so much pride in healthy cooking and fresh ingredients, they happily give you to-go food in plastic containers. Overall, go there when there are any celebrities visiting and you want to catch a look at them. For anything else, there are definitely better restaurants. Finally, pray that you don't get one of those lopsided tables that just enhances your overall experience
