I would take 1 star just cause the interior doesn't seemed finished and they needed some ambience music. They're working on the decor but otherwise a great spacious area for coffee, conversation, and productivity. They have top shelf coffee choices using onyx and the girl that did the pour over knows what she's doing on the hario. Her craftsmanship shows in the flavor of the pour over I had. Second to none. Great selection of freshly baked beans and a daily list of pour over choices... multiple pour over choices. There are things offered that are not on the menu. I heard someone get a Kenya Pour Over. We wished we'd known everything offered. Staff should go above and beyond and be able to think outside the box. We asked her about a latte Origins use to offer w/ pumpkin type spices. She should have offered to put cinnamon etc in the latte we did order. My friend wished they'd been more polite and service friendly. I did appreciate her putting a foam heart on my latte. I've had wishy washy experiences here. At first I loved it. But, then we came a few times with bad experiences and bad attitudes from workers and we stopped coming all together. I received a $10 gift card in my email from Pause for my birthday, and free coffee is free coffee, so I decided to go in for the first time in months. It was a fantastic experience. PAUSE COFFEE HOUSE . Rocklin, CA . Today I stopped by Pause @pausecoffeehouse and it was pretty freakin' rad! The shop is under new owners, used to be called Origin. The outside had some really cool seating spots using re-used wood from pallets- which just tickles my mountain art roots! . The coffee was tasty! I had my standard hot black coffee and also decided to try the cold brew! The hot coffee I had was tasty, smooth and easy on the tummy. The cold brew was also smooth, more nutty and soooo tasty. Overall two great beverages! . Overall I really enjoyed this shop, their coffee, their helpful and cool-pantsed staff. . There aren't ANY coffee shops open in Lincoln, CA on Sunday aside from SBUX ... I'm glad I got out of the warm bed and drove the 15 miles to get this experience! . Spacious coffee shop! Their location is amazing and this facility is large. Parking is shared, sometimes it can be difficult to find a spot. They do a great job at keeping things clean. The seating varies from bar seating (in front of a window) to table seats (no couches). There's a ton of seating near outlets, no need for that extra long charger. The drinks here are great. They offer a variety of different coffees with a massive tea menu. If you're looking for coffee beans..they got 'em! They'll grind them for you as well. Great place. Spectacular staff. (I'm not a big flavored-beverage person) But the staff is extremely accommodating with all my questions & picky-ness. Haven't had any attitude or disrespect. I'm impressed with this place. I'm honestly confused at why some businesses don't update their business hours. Especially Pause Coffee who only has two locations. Driving all the way up to Rocklin just to walk up to the doors and find them locked. Doesn't make it any better that their business houses posted on the doors are 8am-6pm. This is a nice coffee shop, they also have muffins, small sandwiches! It used to be the ORIGINS COFFEE AND TEA in fun, child friendly Roseville! Now it is PAUSE COFFEE HOUSE also in fun, child friendly Roseville! There does need be some artwork or pictures on the walls! Other than that, every here is friendly! Yes people, they were all wearing their masks! We sat had black tea! Wow, how refreshing, the tea was refreshing! Think there is a college nearby, remember this is town Roseville! We saw what seems be many students, they are allowed stay in the coffee shop as long as needed! Many have their computers with them! Great place with fantastic vibes! Love the look and feel of this midtown style coffeehouse in our suburbs. I thoroughly enjoyed the drip coffee and tried my wife's half-sweet vanilla latte which was good but I still prefer unsweetened or only a hint of sweetener. If you drink black coffee you know how important it is for the beans to be fresh and roasted properly. Other chain coffee shops have terrible drip coffee which is why I love when a craft coffee shop brews up good and consistent drip, it's my go to so it's a must if I'm to revisit! LOVED the Honey Lavender Latte and the avocado toast. I never had a coffee drink like that before, but now it is my new FAV! I could definitely taste both the honey and lavender in it, but I didn't think either of these flavors were overwhelming. It also came with a little fancy design on top with the foam. The avocado toast was different! I loved the hint of lemon in it. A great breakfast to start the day! The coffee is good but i dont know why these guys never seem to have fresh half-and-half. Twice now they put expired cream in my coffee (had milk floaters) and pretended like they didn't notice. When i called them on it the second time they put whole milk in instead without asking. Im like, no. I want cream. "We are out" they said. Meanwhile, another worker was sitting on his rump checking his phone. Send lazy-boy over to Safeway and pick some up! It is across the street! I didnt say that. But i wanted to. I have been back a couple of times since & the service is great & the baristas are always super welcoming.
