Avoid see other negative feedback. Storefront is dirty & barren has the appearance of being condemned all the windows were papered up. To do business with Paul's that you make $120 payment to get an appointment with their artist which I did. I appeared for the appointment an again the storefront was dark and dirty I could faintly hear an old dog barking in the background. Keep in mind the majority of the feedback on Paul's hat works website as well as this website 10+ years old today's date is (February 17, 2025) My understanding is the original owner sold this business 10+ years ago. Reading other feedback it would appear that this is not a functioning business or just people promising more than they can deliver. My experience in was positive with cable car clothiers (Jonathan). Outstanding customer service, incredible selection, and fair and reasonable pricing.

Great old school men's hatter. Stopped in recently to check it out after a walk in the neighborhood that yielded this cool little haberdashery. This shop is a step back in time, where you select your material, crown, brim and crease each made by hand one at a time no two are exactly a like. As well, they can restore, re-block and reshape old vintage hats. The vintage interior looks as if it hasn't changed in a millennium. Cool, and a little dusty with a wall of vintage hats restored available for purchase. There are a nice selection of pre-made quality handmade hats available as well. The young woman working at the millinery bench was pleasant and friendly, and allowed me to look at my leisure answering my questions when needed. Very no pressure and laidback. It made purchasing my newest brim an easy thoroughly enjoyable experience. 4.5 Stars - rounded up for a great relaxing transaction 00495

Jax Hatz and Corvid-19 Masks are absolutely fabulous!…read more I have been wearing her hats for decades and they never go out of style or wear out. They are well made with the highest quality of materials. She is a true millinery artist. I have collected a wonderful variety of summer and winter hats. In addition, to some amazing holiday hats. Recently, I ordered a custom fascinator for my son's graduation and couldn't be happier. She took my ideas for the fascinator and created a work of art, I loved wearing the fascinator. Plus was able to wear it several more times during the year. I received so many compliments each time I wore it. And I was very excited when I found out Jax was making temporary masks during shelter-in-place. I received my first one and it is beautifully made and comfortable to wear. So I immediately had to placed an order for 5 more masks! Jax Hatz is the BEST no matter what she creates!

Fun, whimsical, totally affordable!…read more Seeing all kinds of adorable spider & pumpkin hats, fascinators & headbands / combs, Jax was more than well-prepared for this year's Pumpkin Festival I tried on spiderweb hats, feathered fascinators with cute glittered owls & finally decided on an awesome peacock headband-hat that will be perfect for a night at the Jazz Club or the ballet, opera.....anything really! She was extremely nice & showed me ways to wear my choice to give it "attitude". Loved it! You can find Jax Hatz near the Cable Car Museum!

This review is for the online ordering process…read more I ordered 3 shirts yesterday and they came today. I live 60 miles away but good damn that was fast! I'm super excited to rep the t-shirts especially the prints from Jeremy Fish, the raddest illustrator around. Also, I want to say if you have any questions, UP responds very quickly about any sizing, garment questions. Very pleased with their response time and the information they have handy. I will be ordering from these dudes again and will be dropping in when I'm in the city next!

Wrong items and taking far longer than promised with nobody reaching out to the customer (me). So I decided I'll stop by when the SF store is open and grab stuff myself. Now I am sitting on your doorstep at your store that was supposed to open 1 hour ago. Not a soul here. Amazon almost gave me a package for you but changed their mind at the last minute. Other customers are asking me if you are going to be open today. I am a long time customer. Great products. Your customer service is shit. I love the style upper playground provides. But I can't rep you bc you won't deliver the correct product promptly or hire employees that, seemingly, can't roll out of bed. Disappointed. You've lost my business.

Abraham Lincoln , Napoleon Bonaparte, Jamiroquai , Slash, and San Francisco's own Outside Lands Ranger Dave and Ranger Ruth. I wouldn't want to see Gino from 90 days Fiancé without his hat. We wear different hats in life and they can be different from being around family and others . Some hats triggers different emotions depending on the person. A hat could change the person aura , create a caricature, and image and also gives someone a sense of belonging. Although it's always Halloween in SF the hat is part of our costume to express a spirit internally outward. There is one place at the Tourist Trap at Pier 39 in San Francisco where you can try on a hat for size and it's called Krazy Kaps ( No Cap). Here you will not find sport teams hats but the captain hat, cowboy( not the football team) western hat, fedoras, garden hat , Panama, and the I am on vacation hat. No matter the occasion this place has a bit of everything whether you are having a bad hair day or having a theme party you can always go to Krazy Kaps and change your image.
