I'm writing this review out of sheer frustration and disappointment with Goorin Bros, both regarding the quality of their hats and the way their customer service team handled my case. About six years ago, my husband and I purchased a couple of Goorin Bros hats during a trip to the US, at the Boston store. We were told these hats would be a lifetime investment thanks to their quality and durability. However, despite only wearing them once or twice a year and taking meticulous care -- always storing them in hat boxes and handling them gently -- the hats began to deteriorate quickly. The structures at the joints became visibly damaged, to the point they almost fell apart after minimal use over six years. Naturally, we reached out to Goorin's customer service hoping for some advice or assistance, fully expecting the brand to stand behind their product, at least in some capacity given the high price and promises made. Unfortunately, what we encountered was an entirely unsatisfactory and dismissive response. The support team repeatedly emphasized that the hats were out of the 1-year warranty period. They insisted that structural damage like ours was due to normal wear and tear and hence not covered -- even though we had only worn the hats 6-12 times total over six years! This defies logic and the very concept of "wear and tear." How is this a reasonable lifespan for what was sold to us as a durable, lifetime piece? We asked if they genuinely believe such minimal wear would cause the hats to "practically fall apart," but we received no acknowledgment of our concerns. To make matters worse, the company admitted they have no repair program whatsoever. Instead, they casually suggested we find a local hatter in London (where we live) to try and fix what we consider a product failure. This is laughable given the hats were bought from Goorin and we expected better support or even goodwill efforts considering the disappointing early deterioration. We also tried escalating the issue via photos and multiple emails, but the responses never changed. The initial replies were generated by an AI assistant that repeatedly quoted policies without empathy or practical solutions. When a human did respond, their message still boiled down to "sorry, it's out of warranty, no repair or compensation, find your own repairer." This entire experience has left me feeling that we were oversold on product quality and undersupported as customers. Hats that fall apart after so little use are not what I consider high-quality. And a brand that won't even offer any option beyond cold policy enforcement has lost our trust entirely. I sincerely hope Goorin Bros takes this feedback seriously and considers extending better warranties, improving product durability, and treating customers with more empathy and goodwill when issues arise. Until then, I cannot recommend this brand or their hats to anyone looking for genuine quality or aftercare.

Always a special treat to go to Gorin Bros , nice staff , good selection especially for large sizes .

Parking CAR-MA!

This is the 3rd chapeau I've purchased from GB. They are single handedly bringing these time honored styles back. Perfect for that unique SF flavor that sets the Bay Area apart. Essential for those cold Summer days when a lid warms you up while making you look cool. Not a hat person? I think the skilled staff can find a hat that accentuates YOU in a way that will make you smile and proud enough (with encouragement from other shoppers and whomever you may be with) to drop a cool Hundi or more for a stylish chapeau that you will be happy with for a very long time. My only issue, is in spite of today's parking CAR-MA, trying to get near this place is crazy! Best to scooter, walk or Lyft here. The neighborhood is always popping. Should you purchase a lid from here, and walk out into the NB scene, you will be popping too!

I bought my first fedora hat here with the help of the gentleman named Lamont. He was very helpful and patient w me. The store offered free cleaning bottle, and cleaning or reshape my hat if needed. Definitely will come back here to shop again.

Woa who needs a sax stand when I can use my new Goorin Bro's hat!

I bought this Goorin Brothers hat which said it had a stiff brim but did not state a stiffened body (wow was it stiffened!) But they agreed to take it back even though it was "non-returnable" So HATS OFF TO GOORIN BROTHERS (hohoho) for being a great customer centered USA biz this was the Gemma hat probably just the thing for someone under 40 I'm way over 40 !!! Thought these photos were a laugh ....

Plenty of beret selections

Bought great hat and berets. They have lots of beautiful options and the lovely staff Robin was very helpful and so friendly. I like how they have plenty of french beret options because it's hard to find them in SF. If you're looking for a hat this is the best place in town.

Try to buy it from the Store. The staff is great and can really help you develop your hat style. Not to mention the website is horrible second only to their social/text marketing. (It's like they are trying to make it hard to buy a hat from Instagram.) The store is awesome and has a great vibe. The staff is honest and will not push you beyond your comfort level but are a great hype team if you need the extra push. They always welcome you back into the store with your hat to give it a steam or a quick brush off. I have yet to add feathers or add-ons to my hats. Even though I have a dozen+ Goorin hats -- it's just a bit too much attention to me and the hat. But I have watched hats go from cool to amazing and I wish I had the style/confidence to pull it off. I use my hats as everyday hats -- hoodies and a fedora is not out the question for my outfit on a Sunday morning breakfast run. Lucky Tip: Go during a weekday and enjoy the experience. Wear the hat out like you did as a kid when you got new shoes. Go grab a pizza next door at Tony's and have an amazing day/evening. You can shop online but going to the store is better. Not all hats remain the same size. Wicker hats tend to shrink up on me a bit -- just a bit but it's noticeable and frustrating. So if you are between sizes go with the next one up. The hat quality is amazing. Felt hats tend to lose their stiffness (dean the butcher) but bounce right back into shape with a little touch. Take care of the soft hats and they will last forever. I have a few that are now going on 5-6 years old and they look amazing. They just moved away from an old skool customer loyalty program/stamp card to a digital process that is less than clear how it works. If you are new to hats -- flat caps are a gateway drug.

Visiting San Francisco for a graduation and wondered into Grooinbros in North Beach, and then wondered out with a new fedora in Wiskey brown. Outstanding help by Lamont. He was patient and gave me wide breadth to wear and think. If you are ever in North Beach and thinking a hat might work, stop in and walk out with a new lid.

Loving my new Wiener trucker hat!

Lemme give you a quick heads-up - Goorin Bros. is the best hat store in the Bay Area. And their North Beach location is the best one in the Bay Area. I used to come here for all my fedora needs. But in the past year, I've taken a liking to their funny line of trucker caps. Each one has an ironic animal/slogan on the front (eg a dog that says "Weiner"; a Squirrel that says "Nuts"; and a grey hat that says "Silver Fox"). Maybe it's not funny to you, but it cracks me up. Trust me, these hats are always a great conversation starter at meet-ups and parties. Most of these caps run between $20 - $30. They're super comfy and well made. And if they get too dirty or sweaty, you can always rinse them out in the dishwasher (it takes just a few minutes). Service at the North Bay location is always super friendly. You can try on as many hats as you'd like without someone giving you a dirty look. I've never left this store without one or two new purchases. Thankfully, this store isn't in my hood... otherwise, I'd be broke and have a closet full of hats. Long story short, when it comes to hat shops, Goorin Bros. is head and shoulders above the rest!

Goorin bros cemented my hat addiction, and I am always complimented on their styles. Many hats, feathers and caps later, I still love stopping to see what's new and to chat w the knowledgeable crew there.

I'm pretty sure a Goorin hat could make Gary Busey look like a finely suited David Beckham in his prime.

I would call it WHEELCHAIR-ACCESSIBLE, because the entry is definitely accessible, and if anything isn't, the employees go out of their way to move things and make it accessible! Their attitudes in general are very friendly and helpful, as is that of the owner (it's a woman-owned store!). Therapy doesn't close until 7:30 pm, which gives you plenty of time to run in for a birthday card and gift after you leave work and are on your way to a friend's birthday party! I loved visiting the Baggu store!…read more The layout is bright, fun, and full of colorful, practical items that make it hard to leave empty-handed. The staff is friendly and the variety of bags and accessories is always exciting to browse through. I ended up getting the Black Medium Cargo Crossbody. It can fit a water bottle, my sunglass case, phone, wallet, keys, and more! It's a really good size and I was impressed at how much can fit in it. I also like that it was made our of recycled material. It was around $56, so the price point isn't that bad esp cause I know the quality is good. My only small complaint is that there aren't enough mirrors in the store--it can be tricky to see how a bag looks when you're wearing it. A few more mirrors would make the shopping experience even better. Still, a great store and I'll definitely be back!

I also adore their baby reusables, which are perfect for takeout food. I own several packing cubes and dopp kits--one for skincare and the other for makeup. While Baggu bags are on the pricier side, they're definitely worth it and last a long time. I'd say the prices are comparable to Cath Kidston, Vera Bradley, LeSportsac, and Kipling, but Baggu offers better designs at possibly a lower cost. I recently visited the store for my birthday, which was exciting since I've always purchased online through Facebook, Mercari, Depop, and Poshmark. I'm thrilled with my purchase! The staff were very helpful in applying my 10% off coupon for first-time email subscribers, and they assisted me in selecting the perfect placement for my bag--a detail I really appreciated. If you love Baggu, I highly recommend visiting their store, but be prepared--it's surprisingly small!
