I've been stressing because my AC system is older and they don't even make my type anymore. Replacing the whole thing would've been an absolute nightmare -- digging things out, gutting parts of the attic, replacing everything inside and outside... major headache. Instead of immediately pushing me toward an expensive full replacement, Bradlee actually took the time to think outside the box. Step by step, he carefully worked through the problem and figured out a way to save most of my existing system by replacing the coil and tackling the issues one by one. And here's what stood out to me: where others used strange quick fixes and temporary patches that never truly solved anything, Bradlee was honest. He replaced worn-out valves and components correctly, welded things into place, and did it all at a price that was incredibly fair. Once we filled the system back up, something in my gut said, "Have him check the attic one more time..." and BOOM -- there it was. The master leak! Again... where others failed, Bradlee came through. Some of these parts were literally welded into place and a huge pain to remove, but he hauled everything up, lined it up, adjusted what needed adjusting, and handled all of it without complaining. That kind of work takes patience. It takes skill. It takes someone who actually cares. The difference? Bradlee enjoys a challenge. He understands older systems and knows quality when he sees it. A lot of people just want the easiest route these days, but Bradlee was happy to put in the effort with a smile the entire time. And beyond the work itself, he's respectful, kind, explains things clearly without talking down to you, and is honestly just joyful to be around. No AC in the midst of a scorching Southern California Summer, I do not want any part of that…read more Thankfully the Solis team came in to save the day and prevent my parents from suffering a heat stroke. My parents had been having issues with their Heating and Air conditioning for close to a year but were procrastinating as we all do. Main reason is that it is so difficult to find a trust worthy HVAC mechanic that is not looking to give you some outrageous rate using some complicated verbiage about this "condenser" and this "thermal-thing-a-ma-jig" needing replacing. Then usually followed by it should be replaced ASAP otherwise your entire house is going to burn down if you don't get it fixed with them. Well, this was not the case this time. From the minute I called I received incredible customer service. I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the line and was able to schedule an appointment within minutes for them to come out and take a look at what was going on. Luis came out later that same day and was able to explain everything to me in layman's terms. So easy for me to understand everything. He was very honest and gave me a very fair price. Frank came out the next day and the job was done within a couple of hours. My parents are now enjoying the crisp fresh AC while sipping Margaritas indoors without a care in the world as the world outside melts. First off -- Solis Mechanical Service is still open. They just relocated to Irvine…read more If I had to sum up this company in one word, it would be... awesome!! This was the first heat wave of 2020. My AC wasn't functioning up to par. It had very minimal flow of cold air coming in. Therefore I thought it would be a simple issue like the filter needed to be changed or something. I first call an initial company (which shall remain nameless) and they give me a very hard diagnostic where I would need to be spending at least $3K and up to $7K+. Multiple issues were apparantly found and it sounded like a nightmare, especially during this unprecedented COVID-19 time. I did not want to get into credit card debt for the first time in my life... As a result, I seeked a second opinion. A friend referred Solis to me and I was connected with Frank. He was immediately responsive via text message and was able to come on-site to my home within 48-hours. When Frank Solis came on-site, he was efficient and thorough. Something really cool was he asked for me to go up onto my rooftop with me so I can see everything. He explained what the issue was and gave a genuine diagnostic. My issue ended up being that all my refrigerant was gone due to a small leak. Long story short, he gave me the next step-by-step instructions on what to do so we can get the job done right and where my wallet would not die from a high surge of fees. My favorite thing was the HVAC 101! I learned a lot thanks to Frank. At the end when I was walking Frank out, I literally said, "I love you!" He took care of me and was both very knowledgeable and personable. Seriously great service! This company is hands down on my personal referral list. I was beyond happy with the result.
