Had an absolutely delightful experience at Paula's today with my son. Everything we ordered was delicious and made fresh with absolute care! I enjoyed the yummy Irish Omelette with the home-made corned beef hash, and my son was craving Eggs Benedict, which did not disappoint. He also had a side of the corned beef hash. Paula and our waitress Lisa could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The coffee was delicious and fresh-brewed. I cannot understand why the other place very close by is always so much busier, when this little gem is absolutely spotless, with better food and way friendlier service in every way. This is now Our Place for breakfast! it Is an unassuming building, parking I in back. The dining area was bright and clean. We were immediately welcomed by Paula. Her gentle good humor endeared her to us. We had eggs Benedict and eggs on real corned beef, not the canned. Home fries seasoned and crispy. You could tell others were regulars here. Great ambiance. After driving to T's, then Cozy Grill and leaving both because we were too impatient to wait we crashed at Paula's. No line, no waiting. Pure heaven. The staff is real and I love it. Brand new to the neighborhood and looking for " our Sunday Breakfast Spot.... First thing we noticed.. completely EMPTY on a Sunday morning 7:40am... let me share my opinion on why... " Greasy spoon" doesn't begin to describe how dirty the place was. (Chunks of dirt & dust balls on the back of the booth seat for starters). I'm giving 1 star for their cheap prices, but unfortunately got exactly what we' paid for..( I ordered the 1 egg hashbrowns & toast $2.95 and was charged $3.45.. )After delivering our dishes to the table, the waitress told another waitress " the home fries have been smelling like fish".... she was right! So did my eggs for that matter! I ordered a coffee & that seems fool proof right.... wrong. It was coffee flavored water... very diluted tasting. My new breakfast joint! My former breakfast joint, The Cozy-right across the street, is always too crowded. I hate dealing w/ crowds on a Sat./Sun. late morning, when all you want is relaxation. The price is definitely right, I paid around 4.50 for 2 eggs, toast, homefries, and bacon. I believe they use margarine on the toast, but I'm sure they'd sub. butter if you asked. I never learn. I really must not judge a diner from its outside appearance SMH. Driving by it several times, along Warwick Av, I never gave it more than five seconds of consideration. I thought it was small and probably outdated in menu, taste and interior. My experience going for a late breakfast here on a Sunday proved me a bit incorrect. The place has its own parking around the back. Convenient. Inside, if you can get past the wood-paneled walls that seem a bit off on a theme I have yet to identify, then you should be fine. Ordered Chourice Hash on egg whites with raisin toast. Companion ordered Eggs Benedict over chourice hash on English Muffin. We also had a pancake on the side. The breakfast did not disappoint. No flowery words here but good enough not to say "meh". Serving was just right. Coffee was really weak, though. Please make the coffee slightly stronger. Way less water in proportion to the coffee grind, maybe? Decaf should also not mean diluted. On customer service: On my second visit, there were posters reminding diners to order their Rice Pie ahead of time, for Easter. Never heard of a Rice pie before. Server was a bit unfriendly but nicer to regulars. When asked the question: "what is a rice pie"? Gave me the look of utter disbelief. Like I was hiding under a rock all this time. Well, sue me. I am a Catholic but never had it before. That's why I ask now. Note to owner and servers: Please, be nice to all customers. Especially new faces who may become part of the loyal customers brigade. I really liked Paula's. The restaurant has lots of space and a huge menu that is hanging from the wall. They have all the traditional breakfast items and daily specials. They also have some Portuguese breakfast items which is a good option. I had the oatmeal with fresh fruit and brown sugar. The oatmeal was delicious, creamy and very filling. My husband had an omelet with Portuguese style shredded meat. He loved it. My daughter love her Mickey Mouse pancake. She said it was soft and fluffy. I will definitely return to Paula's the next time I'm in Warwick. I highly recommend Paula's for a great breakfast. read more

Not a good place at all. We stopped here because it was close to my daughters softball game and we were eating in between a double header. The food is flavorless. My daughter got the red white and blue French toast. It had no flavor. Literally tasted like egg on toast. I ordered the gravy and biscuits. Again no flavor. My wife orderd coffee cake french toast which was nothing more than a piece of coffee cake warmed up. However, that's not the worst part. When the bill came it was $37. Really? $37 for french toast a piece of coffee cake and a biscuit with gravy? I will never return to this place again and will be sure to blast the horror of it to every social media site available to me. Also to any ear that will listen. This unassuming breakfast joint is a hidden gem across the street from the flashier Cozy Grille. Paula and her team deliver one of the best breakfasts in the area. The atmosphere from the futuristic sliding automatic entry door, wall of mirrors, and rich wood features can not be beat. First time here. Came on Wednesday morning. Wasn't busy. Very friendly waitress! I had the Irish Omelet (corned beef hash). Came with toast and home fries. Wife had 2 over medium eggs (cooked perfectly she said), home fries and a grilled English muffin. Food was HOT and tasted great. Coffee was always full. Will definitely be back. I like going here because there aren'ta lot of cars in the parking lot. the lack of a full parking lot in this case does not correlate with bad food or bad service in fact it's one of my favorite places because I can get a hearty home-cooked real food meal made by real people in real time. I told Paul of the owner I feel like when I come here that I'm going to Aunt's for lunch. it is true that other places may have a multitude of decorations that have to be washed polished and dusted but here it's just simple, the way I like it. This place was hands down the worst breakfast I've ever had. Everything about this place is pale and dirty. First off, the coffee was WATER, how can u screw up a coffee?? As for our meals, my boyfriend and I both got omelets. As she was placing them down in front of us I couldn't help but think "you've got to be kidding me". We have been going to Paula's Place for many years (including when they were originally located in Cranston) .The food is delicious and you can feed your family for either the same or cheaper than it cost at most fast food places. The food is all fresh ,home-cooked meals. The portions will definitely satisfy everyone .The restaurant is homey and warm . The people that work there are friendly and always make sure you have the fresh 2nd. cup of coffee .They have a good selection of omelets that will meet almost everybody's taste buds and if you like the big breakfast plates ,ask for the Ralph's special .
