Moved to the area recently and its so disappointing how alot of businesses only speak Spanish and some broken English if that. Nail tech was on her phone alot and looked away a few times didnt seem focused or concerned. My gel manicure doesnt seem like its going to last theres polish over my cuticle area on some. I've been in this place maybe 14 times and every time I'm left satisfied, my nails look great the conversations with the ladies are funny and for the price it's so worth it. I used to get my nails done by Ruth but I recently found out that she left so I got them done with Sandra and I got the gel manicure done and NEVER have my nails lasted for more than a week they always tend to chip I have to removed the gel off because I don't feel comfortable that they look like that. This nail salon is by my job. I often stop in here if I need a quick manicure and sometimes pedicure for an event during the weekend. They usually do a great job, and they are very quick with the service. (Which is VERY helpful when I stop in during my lunch break.) I definitely plan on stopping by this salon again in the future. Loved everything about this place until I realized how unprofessional the management is. The first time I ever came to this location I brought my best friend, who left super upset because she was accommodated with a time to get her nails done by a tech who would arrive to the salon shortly. After about 45 min my best friend had to say something and storm out upset because of the lack of communication. Where was the tech that would do her nails? Anyway I kept going to Paula's cause I loved the way my nails came out...until an older lady who must be management ( because she was giving orders in the rudest way) decided to do my refill. I paid $50 for this. Please continue reading before you get SCAMMED. I can't believe I'm even giving 1 star. So disappointed in this place. I needed a refill on my acrylic nails and the woman who did my nails didn't use any acrylic powder to complete the job. She used super glue and Essie clear nail polish which she sprayed with some kind of "activator". When I asked her what she was doing and tried to clearly explain what I wanted she said "your nails will be very strong". I thought she was doing a thin layer of glue and nail polish and then to follow up with acrylic over. WRONG. At this point my nails are a mess and it's 6:45 pm. I was out of viable options so I had to pray and wait. I picked a color and it was 3 thick layers of gel. My nails felt very heavy and were kind of blob shaped. I knew that going from coffin shaped nails to square nails would maybe take another refill for it to look normal so I felt like the shape could have been overlooked If gel polish didn't look like it was pouring over the sides. My left middle finger had a HUGE lump on it which I noticed as I walked out. I went back the next day to have it filed down. The same lady who did my nails filed it down very little, applied clear gel and I was on my way. An hour later the polish on my right thumb was peeling off. I waited through the weekend to have it fixed. Kim "fixed" my nail. It is now a different shape than it was. It is also one shade of polish lighter than all of my other nails which I brought to her attention and she said "that's because it's newer than the others". I told her that the First Lady used 3 coats of polish but she didn't care. she put clear on and sent me on my way with a nice "next time you pay to fix" WHY SHOULD I PAY $50 FOR TERRIBLE WORK AND NEED TO PAY TO FIX IT?! Update! It's been 4 days since my right thumb was "fixed" and the polish has peeled off. I also have discoloration and dirt that has made its way UNDER the polish. Disgusting read more

This place has screwed me twice...shame on me! First time I went, and asked for a mani pedi, they told me to pick a color and wait. After waiting 40 mins they told me they were closing and asked me to leave??!? What business does that? Second time, I went back bc I live nearby and didn't want to drive. Worst mani pedi ever! Nails were filed crooked, points here and there, cuticles were not cut properly, and polish was smeared around the edges. Honestly, it looks like I did my nails at home myself, but worse.. I would give this place -5 stars if possible. I went to Paula's yesterday with my mother for mani/pedis. Upon going into any nail salon, my first question always is "How long is the wait?" The owner, a liar through his teeth says, "No wait, no wait". We proceed to choose our colors and sit in the pedi chairs chatting for a few minutes. After about 15 - 20 mins, a lady comes to start working on my pedicure and the owner comes over to start taking off my mom's nail gel (while sitting in the pedi chair). My pedicure was extremely thorough and I give the woman credit for that. It took about an hour - all the while no one comes over to start on my mother's feet. The worst part is, several customers came in AFTER US, almost an HOUR after us, and were still seen before my mother was! It was so bad that after my pedicure was done (at this point, we had been there for almost 1 HR, 40 MINS) I went to ask the owner if there was someone who could start on my mother's feet (she literally had nothing done at all besides her fingernails being wrapped in foil with acetone). He shuffles on over with a confused, dopey look on his face (which seems to just be his demeanor), pretends to look around as if to do something, and goes right back to the front of the store with no regard to my request! It seems he had given instructions to the woman who did MY pedicure to also do my MOTHER'S - AND she had gone on break! Fuming, we get up to leave after waiting for 1 HR, 40 MINS for my mom to be seen with absolutely nothing being done. I try to pay this guy for my pedi and he tried to charge me full price. I refused, on the premise I should have paid the "special" rate for the mani/pedi IF I WERE SEEN IN A TIMELY MANNER. I tried to pay fair compensation for the work performed and he refused. After giving him a piece of my mind about the poor service, noting the several guests being seen before us, and how crooked of a shop he was running, he proceeds to block the door as if to stop us from exiting. I was 10 seconds away from calling the cops before he moved. What a joke of a business! I will NEVER frequent this place again and advise you to stay far, far away. To make matters worse, we then went to another salon a block away (which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Yessica's), my mother's fingernails were in such poor condition the manicurist asked if she tried to take it off herself. This place is fantastic! I have been a loyal customer since the new owners took over so about 3.5 years And the service has always been superb. Olga is my personal favorite because she always goes the extra mile. She's detail oriented and takes her time. She's definitely a perfectionist. She's pretty popular so I call ahead to reserve a time slot with her. The color selections are always up to date with popularity and seasons. The salon is impeccable. Normally, I don't have a problem with this place. Clean equipment, good selection in colors, and fast. However, they pay no attention to the clients. If you're not a regular then it doesn't matter if you showed up 30 mins ago, like me, or just walked in the door. They used the same hot towel that i saw with my own eyes that was used by the first person on the table than they just flipped it over and saw if it was warm enough and wiped my hand on the other side.
