I am obsessed with Nail House VII! This is my go-to spot when I am in New Jersey. I love that there are no long waits. At least not when I visit. I hate sitting around at nail salons, and this place is always efficient. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes, even without an appointment. Every technician I've tried (especially Sarah, I love her!) does a fantastic job. They take their time and ensure my nails look flawless. They get it right every time, from removing the cuticles to my nails being cut and filed how I like. The foot scrubs and massages are the best I've ever had - truly top-tier! My feet feel like silk afterward, and my SNS (powder) manicure and pedicure last weeks. The space is immaculate and relaxing, with comfy massage chairs and calming music. Update within 24 hours of service, all my nails fell off. (WHILE WASHING MY HAIR in the shower) I never had this happen in my whole entire life. My total bill was 120 and I tipped $20 at the time. I feel like I got robbed with my nails all popping off. There's no way that should be possible. Not sure if she didn't care so much with the tips because she knew I was visiting from Florida or she didn't know exactly what she was doing. EEK!! Stay away! -- 4 out of 10 dip powder nails cracked within 24hours and 9 out of 10 were cracked, chipped, broken by 48hours. The place is filthy as soon as you walk in -- this should have been a clue to the terrible experience I was about to have. Korean owned, they talk sh*t. YES, I AM KOREAN AND UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING YOU SAID. How dare they mildly curse in korean while I am asking them to stop hurting me because you're filing my cuticles down to flesh. I should have left after the first 5 minutes. They had no idea how to remove dip powder nails effectively even though they soaked for over 30minutes while my technician walked away to another's pedicure **RUDE** **While I was there, there was another customer who was returning because of cracked nails after just a couple days. She explained she thought her technician filed down her nails so thin that they were unhealthy. Her technician took a look, did not acknowledge the customers complaints and went back to spoke in Korean that they just had to fix the cracked ones. I also feel the same exact way, my technician had filed my nails down so much that they hurt even after I left. They are paper thin now and because it was so bad, I went elsewhere to get a new set. Bring cash for your tip! I wasn't able to add it to the credit card. I was charged $65 for a gel french manicure and regular french pedicure - was a little disappointed with how the owner just did the mental math in her head to invent the price. The service was very good from the beginning. My pedicure included a foot massage, a scrub, and a nice little baggy of moisturizing stuff for my heels! I was disappointed that my massage chair wasn't completely working and no one could fix it. My gel manicure was thorough and clean, but I overheard the manicurist saying it was her first time doing it. Some of my nail lines showed through the pink and she seemed irritated when I asked her to fix it. I might go again just for the pedicure experience. read more

I am really shocked at the manicure I received today. I normally trust the people here and don't feel like I need to watch over them while they are doing my nails, but I was so upset when I left and looked at what they did to them. There is dirt still under my nails, there is nail polish all over 2 of my fingertips that I can't get off. My nails are uneven, with one of my nails actually extremely uneven (a hangnail basically). I have never received a manicure like this in my entire life. I usually receive good service/good quality manicures here, but I am amazed that the person that did my nails today even has a license to do nails. If you are charging $40, you need to make it a good manicure every time and you need to make sure you are hiring the right people- your new employees should not be doing manicures on loyal customers if you don't really know the quality of their work. Also, I was never offered a loyalty card but when I left I noticed another woman had one. I have been going there every 2-3 weeks for about a year now and have never been offered a loyalty card? I won't be needing it now, because I can't risk going back there and paying $40 for a manicure like this ever again. Just totally shocked. First of all, let me say that I got nothing I asked for. I went in to have an acrylic set that was done poorly removed, and a new acrylic set put on. I asked for ballerina shape-pointed but not quite coffin. They got to work. Slow removal of my old acrylics and honestly the most gentle removal I've ever had. And I've had acrylics for over 10 years. Next thing I know they're putting crazy stickers on my fingers (you gel extension gals know what I'm talking about) and painting my nails with a goopy sticky clear something. Bear with me, I'm from Virginia and we don't have uv gel nails there. I literally had to ask what she was doing. I figured, instead of stopping her and reminding her I was there for acrylics let me just ask questions. I'm tough on my nails, Is it strong? Yes, ok. Somehow I wound up with the most beautiful set of nails I think I've ever had. Not ballerina. Or pointed. More tapered square. They're exactly what I didn't know I wanted. If I could have left 0 stars I would've but for the the sake of the review they received 1. I normally used to be the type of person who used to sit through a service and not say anything to not have everyone thinking that IM the wrong being problematic, but after how I was treated in this salon I would 0/10 recommend. I called ahead asking for a mani pedi which already seemed iffy to them because it's like they didn't wanna work they weren't sure if I should come in or not when they're yelp page says WALK INS ARE WELCOME. Then, I ask for a GEL pedicure and they give me a SPA pedicure. They figured they could do this because I was calm up til that point and they figured my boyfriend was paying. I should've mentioned before I myself an a manicure student so I literally witnessed EVERY SINGLE WRONG THIBG TO DO IN FRONT OF THE STATE BOARD WHICH IS WHY I SAY DONT GO HERE! The lady by the name Monica kept asking I put my hands in the UV lamp after they were super dry (I mean duh they're dry they were in there for like 4 mins already) so when I told her my hands were starting to burn over it she said "just one more time." Then she doesn't know how to do proper square nails so I had to fix them myself in the salon before she tried to slap more gel on top of my acrylic. And finally had the nerve to ask me what's wrong with my pedi when I had gel polish running on my cuticles. I was charged $105 for this mess of a set and all I got was a GEL PEDI AND REFILL FOR MY HANDS. so I made sure I got $105 worth because ain't no way she was gonna let me walking around with them bad feets right before Valentine's Day. The NERVE of this establishment. It may be pretty but keep going at your own risk because they don't sanitize all of their materials nor do they even use new ones when they have to, but if you complain you'd be wrong so just avoid the drama. read more

I've been coming here since 2018. I really wanted this to be my go-to place and gave it a few more chances that I should've since so many people love this place. The last two times I went since they've reopened, I showed up a couple minutes early for my appointment. Both times, I waited outside at least 10 minutes before being seen because they were packing as many people as possible in. Not the end of the world, people have to make money. I went in to have my temperature taken and washed my hands and tried to relax. Both times, everything was rushed and they didn't seem to care about doing a good job. The final straw was the day before my now husband and I were getting married (virtually because of covid, but we still wanted to look nice). I wanted a simple light pink mani and pedi. The pedicure was rushed but did the trick and the mani was rushed and streaky. Someone was drying their nails, so the woman doing my nails put a small fan on my nails for maybe 5 minutes before coming over to rush me out. As she was removing the paper from between my toes, she proceeded to wipe the polish off all of the toes on my left foot. She tells me to sit down so she can fix it. No big deal, things happen. As she's "fixing my nails", my husband pays for our services and hands the various women their tips. She "fixed"my pedicure by throwing a quick coat of polish on, immediately following up with the topcoat. She has me stand up and tells me not to put my shoes on. I thought she was helping me walk to the dryer that was now free, but she proceeds to walk me to to door and push me out the door in the pouring rain. By the time I drove home, every single nail was chipped because they didn't get a chance to properly dry and my husbands cuticles were bleeding from the manicure he got. I couldn't try to go back the next day to have them fixed since we were getting married, so I threw some press ons on and called it a day. Saw the great reviews and came last Sunday for a gel mani/regular pedicure bef my vacation. I paid $55 in total exclu tip. Boarded the flight that very evening to Singapore to visit family. It's been just 4 days since the appt and the gel manicure has discolored into this nasty brownish from the original baby pink and chipped at the sides. Super super disappointed!! I have NEVER had a gel manicure this bad. It looks so gross and now I've got to pay to get it removed and redone locally. Do not recommend at all. Gel started peeling after a week and had to be removed. Pedicure was chipped as well. Very unacceptable for the price paid. read more

I rarely get my nails done now. Thanks to this place for taking me last minute as a walk-in. Reservations I'm guessing are highly recommended. The place was pretty packed and had a neighborhood feel. They do a hand scrub so you have to get up to wash your hand at the sink at some point. But, it was hard to understand what was going on. Re: cuticles. I said not to cut unless it was absolutely necessary and pointed to an example. The woman hacked/pulled roughly at my cuticles. This place seemed like it was going to be my go to spot since I am new to the area. The manicure started off great but when it came to applying the powder gel she didn't seem to know how to apply it evenly or maybe was a bit rushed, needless to say 3 days later the polish started to break off and my manicure was ruined. Normally I get at least 3 weeks with powder gel. I would stick to normal polish because it doesn't seem they have experience applying other kinds of polish. I'm pregnant and came with my son who is super calm thank goodness. She really took her time and gave me the best massage and stone massage as well! My toes look fantastic and she ended the pedi with some type of heel treatment which was hot but awesome! I usually do gel manis which they charge 30$ here for one (never have I had one done here). Since I've been a nervous wreck I chewed my nails so I opted for a regular mani for now for 10$ with Janet. She was also awesome! They do a good job, that's no doubt. I've had both pedicures and manicures at this salon. They have a huge nail polish selection. Everyone seems to be really nice. However. Just be aware. I am Korean. I understand Korean, but won't speak Korean to the workers. The workers there are often saying awful things about the customers in korean, even if they're right in front of them, working on their nails! About how they didn't get enough tip, or they're being too particular, they didn't pay the whole thing in cash, etc. I've gotten dirty looks because I decided to pay in card and paid tip in cash. As a customer, it's just not what I want to hear. I've personally decided to go to All About Nails down the street.
