First time to a nail salon in forever and Maria didn't disappoint. Love my nails so much. I never get to pamper myself being a mom and it was such a pleasant experience. I also love that the salon is appointment only. It's so nice to come in and not have to wait behind a walk-in when you have an appointment. The salon is also so clean and has such a nice vibe. You won't go anywhere else after going there! My new go-to!

I came in for an acrylic fill, she took her time to reshape and create a unique, beautiful design using ink and foil. Truly one of a kind artistry. Prices are reasonable, especially for the area - $85 total ($55 for fill, $30 for the design on all 10 fingers). Clean, cute shop and easy to schedule via text and on the website. Finally found a nail salon in the area. I'm super picky with the shape of my nails so finding a nail salon who pays attention to detail when shaping is hard. A lot of the times they want you in and out, but not here! Sonya did an amazing job. She took her time and she was very detail oriented. Only giving 1 star because I'm forced to put something. But this deserves zero stars First of all, let me preface that I never leave a bad review, but this has to be done. This is the worst appointment I have ever had in my entire life. The owner was clearly not ready to have an appointment today even though she took my $25 deposit online booking. Her drill wasn't charged her backup drill wasn't working. After I showed up to the salon on time and the salon was closed and she wasn't there and they proceeded to call me and see if I can come back because her drills were not charged. She had asked me if I wanted to come back an hour later I told her no and asked her if she could file my nails manually. She said yes and tried to put new gel, X nails on top of old gel, X without fully filing end or soaking them off, which annoyed me. When I complained and asked her to continue to soak them, she gave me a bit of an attitude, but agreed to do it. I don't think she understood what soaking off meant so then I asked her if she can cut down my nails and start fresh before putting the gel ax on. She agreed to that, and as she starts to put the gel ax on, she realizes that she still doesn't have her drill and that she can't proceed any longer. I quickly got aggravated and told her how unacceptable this was, and she basically turned it on me and said I told you I didn't have my drill and then I pretty much should know because I get my nails done so I asked for my $25 deposit back but she gave me and I walked out with my nails not done cut down nothing on them. She is very unorganized. The salon is not clean. It was freezing in there and quite honestly I think she was high. read more

I found Maria through Yelp. I have tried several different nail salons in the area after moving from Brooklyn. I didn't feel like they were comfortable environments to request a mani/pedi as a male. RedHotNails was my last choice to try. I was really happy to find that RedHotNails is very small, it's very quiet, and I did not feel uncomfortable at all. I generally don't like to make conversation but I think Maria and I connected well! Aside from the amazing service and artwork, Maria plays THE BEST playlists! I truly recommend Maria for so many reasons. For men looking for a judgment free-zone for nails, this is definitely the place to come. read more

I got a Dazzle Dry manicure. Cute little place. There's only 2 manicurists. It's got a fun decor. The manicurists take their time really pampering your hands. They were friendly. The pricing is reasonable. read more

This salon doesn't disappoint!!! Clean, affordable and 5-star!!! I literally flew in from Florida just to get a full set of gorgeous pink & whites with chrome from the amazing celebrity nail artist Maria Salandra!! She never ever misses a beat. From my beautifully clean cuticles to seamless lines on my French. This salon is so worth the trip. She also gave my boyfriend an awesome men's manicure with exfoliation of his hands. He said "my hands haven't felt or looked this good in my life". Can't wait to fly in again for the next set!!! Must try!!!!!! read more

Maria is a fantastic nail tech!!! She is not only talented but dedicated. She takes time working on each and every nail for the best results. I have very fragile and tiny nails so it was so hard finding a nail tech that can be gentle and detailed but I found my saving grace!! Her prices are VERY REASONABLE (I'd say way less than what she deserves tbh) for the quality you get. She so nice and friendly and will remember you as an individual not just a customer. She understands that getting your nails done is not just about the product at the end but the whole experience itself. I could never go to anywhere else but here now!! If that's the case, why even open on a Sunday if you are going to price gouge!!!! Terrible business practices. AND then the prices were shown to me AFTER the job was complete. I've never witnessed this before ever and I'm still shocked even typing this. The whole staff provides such a hospitable experience--even the owner will start your nails if they are super busy. They have a rewards system as well and you can cash in points for spa experiences or fully paid plane tickets to Florida. I have to say, I have never seen another nail spa with this kind of reward system, but you are spending the money on nails anyway, why not get points toward a full set or a trip to Florida? You can feel the quality in the products they use and while you might pay a premium price at Horizon, they never get it wrong.

However when I said "oh I didn't think to tip you because you're the business owner" she replied that I did have to tip her and was a bit rude and pushy about it. I would say have a backup nail person on deck, because she has the potential to leave you high and dry.
